Sounds like a nice store Thunderball. I'm off all next week, so I think I'll take a trip up that way and check em out.

How's their juice selection?

Hey Big Screen. Cory at Ragin' Vapor mentioned you, maybe we'll come across each other there. I taught him how to wrap micro-coils the last time I was there. He seemed to see the advantage to dripping once he had a good dual coil.

V8R bar opened on black Friday. I was there the following week and apparently they were out of stock on a lot of what will be their usual stock. There are 3 owners that all have their specialties and one is into rebuildables. I didn't stick around long but I got the feeling they are more geared towards the higher end than most that are new.

I'm with TB. I DYI so I didn't pay attention to the juice options.

Overall good place but the one time a month I am in that area I don't usually have much time and it is still far away for me so I probably won't be a regular there.

I notice Vulcan Vapes doesn't get much recognition here but I like that place too. If you want a wide variety of brands that's the place to go and they stock the specialty flavors from those brands. Though they don't have high end stuff most of their prices are pretty good.

Were lucky here in the ATL area. I hear so much about bad brick and mortars on this forum but there is only one I've been to that I flat out didn't like (and no I will not call them out) but even that one didn't seem to be completely gouging people.

Ugh. Downtown. I'd love to check some of these places out, but I despise driving into the city.

Hello all, just checking in! My B&M of choice is VapeRite (vaperite.com) on Cheshire Bridge Road, since it's a short drive from my place in Midtown Atlanta. The folks there are really knowledgeable and got me hooked up with Protank 2 Mini to go on the eGo batt I got elsewhere, and got my brother and my roommate hooked up with starter kits. I'm a newb, so I'm looking forward to stopping in frequently to sample juices. Eventually I want to check out epipemods stuff, because I really want a cool e-pipe. But that will have to wait.

Welcome WoodeGA

Hah. We were in there just yesterday.

Going to have to pick up a mech myself to see what the sub ohm/dripping fuss is all about. Only thing stopping me is I'm vaping nonstop. May have to go with a Reo or Kafun so I don't get in trouble dripping and driving while sipping coffee while texting while driving:D j/k

I float between Vaperite Cheshire Bridge, Steamcigs (e-pipemods), and Angel Vapes which I just found last week thanks to this forum. All three have treated me decent so far and they all seem to have something different to offer as well as the basic stuff they all have. Here are some mini reviews from my new to vapeing perspective.

Vaperite: got me started so they are my "goto" store, I like the comfortable tasting bar and variety of gear. They have a ton of staff that are mostly younger and sometimes chaotic but they are all nice and have all done their best to help me. (including going above and beyond for me one night when I showed up after closing)

Steam Cigs: STEAM PUNK!!! not much more I need to say because STEAM PUNK!!! The store is a little out of the way in a weird industrial warehouse area but who cares because STEAMPUNK!! Don't judge a book by its cover, once you get inside you will be surprised. In addition to the great E-pipes they have all the mods tanks and gear the other shops have, some unique stuff. If you are the Scifi/Dragoncon type you will love this place. The new Steam sauce Chrononaut excites me.

Angel Vapes: is new and a little smaller. They offered me excellent customer service and I instantly liked the owners. He was truly invested in making sure I got what I wanted and was interested in what I would want in the future. The Grog juice I purchased also turned out to be a new favorite I will return for. Vape like a pirate arrr!

I could probably save a little money by ordering my supplies online but I like supporting local small business as well as enjoy the people and smells of the brick and mortar as a gathering place. I would like to see more shops inside the perimeter. The guy at Angels mentioned how difficult and time consuming it was getting the proper permits in Gwinnett that was (months) different than his experience in Florida so I would guess that the city and counties counsels are very difficult to work with or we would see more stores. Every time I see an empty storefront in Decatur, Lil5 or Downtown I cant help but think "what a great place for a Vapeshop".

I visited V8P Bar in Norcross this afternoon. I've been fussing with some retirement age Vivi Nova tanks and finally felt the rba tanks were far enough along the development cycle to take that step. The mention that V8P had higher end products in stock was my main draw, although I can't complain about the easy trip (compared to other B&M locations). I bought a KFL+ and figured I'd get a bottle of juice while I was in there.

The KFL+ did not come with any consumables, but V8P threw in a couple feet of 30g Kanthal wire and a cotton ball to get it put together. He also offered some free tutoring on builds that they do in store on Sundays. I probably won't do that since I'm fairly adept with with this stuff, having started my vaping habit back when modding 510 carts was about as good as it got hardware-wise. At the moment the KFL+ is doing somewhat better than the Vivi's but I can see there's greater potential as I tweak the coil builds and wicking. Started off with a conservative 11 wrap micro coil that runs at 2.6Ω. I've already dialed up to 5.0V on my Provari and the KFL+ is still giving a barely warm vape (the way I like it for what it's worth). I use 3.2Ω heads in my Vivi's and those would be scorching the juice with the voltage that high. Very promising and no buyers remorse whatsoever LOL.

You know...I get a "fail" here. I DIY and didnt pay much attention to that. It looked like it may be their own juice and they had several flavors. I did notice a whole lot of huge plastic bottles with their juice name on it......maybe 500 ml bottles. Those may be what they use to fill up whatever bottle size you buy or may even sell it in lots that big. Just guessing here.

I didn't ask if they sold the giant bottles, but they did mix the one 30ml bottle I bought, using those on the spot. If I had to offer some constructive criticism, the juice department is it. The sampling setup is one that is a great concept, but not so great in practice. He has racks of clearos with sample product, then supplies a new drip tip and a battery to try them out with. Clever, but just doesn't work. The problem is those clearos, in my experience, work great for the first short while then scorch the wicks over time, greatly affecting the flavor. Half the ones I tried were already spent and tasted more like melted candlewax with a hint of whatever flavor they were supposed to be. I mentioned it and he seemed to get it. So maybe that will change. Next time I'll grab a 510 atty or two from home or buy them there if he hasn't already changed to drip samples.

The other problem was that he only had 70/30 blend in the big bottles for an immediate order. I prefer 50/50. I took a bottle anyway, caught up in the moment and forgetting why I quit ordering higher PG over two years ago. The first fill on the new KFL+ was that stuff. It brought back my memory on a chemical and somewhat harsh flavor for my taste. I suffered with it for an hour or so and finally dumped the tank back in the bottle and refilled with my favorite. I didn't want to change my wick out, so just now getting my flavor back. I'll let the 70% stuff sit a while and try again some other time. Maybe drip it on a 510 atty first so I don't waste a good rba wick on it straightaway.

Bottom line: I'll be returning. It's obvious he's just opened as the store is a bit sparsely furnished. Great selection of vape gear and knowledgeable help. I can see he will attract repeat customers and improve the layout and inventory over time. The jury's still out on the juice. To be fair, I think the clearos were tainting what could have been some otherwise ok samples. Shame on me for buying a product (high PG) that I should have known better. Next time I won't do that, and maybe discover some good flavors by dripping them instead LOL. If you're in the JCB/I-85N area with some time to kill, V8P would be an excellent break to let traffic die down and empty your wallet a little too.

I don't recall hearing of Angel's until this post. I checked them out. Pretty good shop and very cheap cartos for my tank. They tell me they have a location in Panama City and haven't gotten the one in Atlanta up to full stock yet. It was a bit of a pain to find.

I have a footnote to this story !!

As I previously mentioned in an earlier post, I drove all the way over there just to see it. Thought I wouldnt be going back very often because its close to an hour away for me.

Well, I just happened to be over in that area for work and went to eat at the Varsity. I realized I was close by and so I just drove over there to say hello and sit and change out my cotton real quick.

We were talking and he recognized me and thanked me form posting good things about them. He then went on and told me about a customer that came in and bought a Kayfun and some juice and mentioned that they didnt taste too good/and or the cheap clearo's made them taste bad.

He said after the guy left, he teated all of them and immediatly threw them out, got all I-clear 16's out and filled them with their juices.

He told me "I hope I didnt loose a customer over that"...and in the same breath, told me ":but Im glad he told me he thought they tasted funny"

So.....anyway, I told him I would post that here. LOL. One things for sure....they are listening to their customers...so thats a big plus !!

Then I read your post and find out that YOUR THAT GUY ! :toast:

What did he want for the kfl+?

If I remember right, they are like 125.00. You may want to call them to be sure.

PS..They had a SvoeMesto Semovar in stock for 225.00. Hard to find in stock in the states. (Its what I use and I love it)...although most of my vaping friends are Mech Users

Yes that was me, and no, he didn't lose a customer. I'll also add a little footnote.

The juice I bought being a bit chemical tasting may not have been just the higher PG in it. After some more reading, it appears that the juice I bought there may have been tainted a bit by the brand new KFL+. Stupid me assembled and vaped it right out of the box. It may have had some manufacturing oils still on it. Oh well, its not like I buy new tanks all the time. I've been using the same two Vivi Nova tanks for over a year, just changing the heads. Probably compounded the problem by pouring the liquid back in the bottle LOL. Oh well, it was a 30ml bottle so maybe enough to dilute any foul taste remaining. If not, it will be a $12 lesson on not doing that again.

I just completed an 8 day trip in the semi and the KFL+ has exceeded my expectations. I am still running on the first coil and wick. After a few refills, all seems to be normal flavor-wise. If anything, it seems to improve a little with each fill. The liquid capacity is about 1.5ml more than the Vivi Nova, so even less frequent filling required. I use the fill port on the bottom, so handling the screw for that is a little fiddly. Next time I get around to it, I will mess with the build to improve the vape. Right now I'm getting the equivalent of my Vivi tanks, only way more consistent and zero leakage. I'm happy with that for now. I'm a "don't fix it if it ain't broke" kind of guy, so it might be a while before I break out the wire and cotton LOL.

I set that bottle of V8P juice aside to try another day. I will probably test drip it into a clean 510 atty before putting it in a tank. I tried those Vision clearos when they came out. It took me a dozen tastes to get the Eureka moment and recall the experience of one of those on it's last legs. They get a waxy, tasteless vape right before they burn out or just quit working. If they don't leak all in your pocket first. Had my wife not been waiting for me out in the car, I'd have bought a 510 atty from him and tried the juices again. I will return for that some other day. V8P has a great selection of gear and flavors, especially for a brand new store.

I don't remember the exact cost of the KFL+. It was a little over $100. From what I've seen, the original item can be found online for a few dollars less. Also, some fairly high quality clones out there for about half that. As a small businessman, I'm a big fan of others that also put their .... on the line to bring a valuable product or service on the market, especially in my neighborhood. Do yourself a favor and cough up a few more bucks and buy this stuff at your local vape shop. Not only do you get to handle and gawk at the merchandise before buying, you also have the benefit of an actual store to return to if you need help with the product or if there's a problem.

Glad to see so many Georgia vapors here.. New to the whole vaping scene as I just started a little over a month ago to quit smoking analogs. Lawrenceville is my neck of the woods so I frequent steamcigs and have to say they treated me so much better than vaperite did, more personal service which keeps me coming back. I did the hour long drive yesterday to visit HHV in Newnan though. Its really small but again great service and tasted lots of juice. V8P bar is still on my list to visit though. Glad to see more shops opening up, just wish prices were more consistent for tanks and such.
What does everyone vape on? Currently I am using a MVP2 with an Aspire tank which I like much better than the iclear16 btw. What kinda juices? Currently rotating pipe sauce from steamcigs and a tobacco blend from HHV I got yesterday. Also in the mix is a couple of vaperite flavors (juicy fruit and Mtn. dew)
