Yes that was me, and no, he didn't lose a customer. I'll also add a little footnote.
The juice I bought being a bit chemical tasting may not have been just the higher PG in it. After some more reading, it appears that the juice I bought there may have been tainted a bit by the brand new KFL+. Stupid me assembled and vaped it right out of the box. It may have had some manufacturing oils still on it. Oh well, its not like I buy new tanks all the time. I've been using the same two Vivi Nova tanks for over a year, just changing the heads. Probably compounded the problem by pouring the liquid back in the bottle LOL. Oh well, it was a 30ml bottle so maybe enough to dilute any foul taste remaining. If not, it will be a $12 lesson on not doing that again.
I just completed an 8 day trip in the semi and the KFL+ has exceeded my expectations. I am still running on the first coil and wick. After a few refills, all seems to be normal flavor-wise. If anything, it seems to improve a little with each fill. The liquid capacity is about 1.5ml more than the Vivi Nova, so even less frequent filling required. I use the fill port on the bottom, so handling the screw for that is a little fiddly. Next time I get around to it, I will mess with the build to improve the vape. Right now I'm getting the equivalent of my Vivi tanks, only way more consistent and zero leakage. I'm happy with that for now. I'm a "don't fix it if it ain't broke" kind of guy, so it might be a while before I break out the wire and cotton LOL.
I set that bottle of V8P juice aside to try another day. I will probably test drip it into a clean 510 atty before putting it in a tank. I tried those Vision clearos when they came out. It took me a dozen tastes to get the Eureka moment and recall the experience of one of those on it's last legs. They get a waxy, tasteless vape right before they burn out or just quit working. If they don't leak all in your pocket first. Had my wife not been waiting for me out in the car, I'd have bought a 510 atty from him and tried the juices again. I will return for that some other day. V8P has a great selection of gear and flavors, especially for a brand new store.
I don't remember the exact cost of the KFL+. It was a little over $100. From what I've seen, the original item can be found online for a few dollars less. Also, some fairly high quality clones out there for about half that. As a small businessman, I'm a big fan of others that also put their .... on the line to bring a valuable product or service on the market, especially in my neighborhood. Do yourself a favor and cough up a few more bucks and buy this stuff at your local vape shop. Not only do you get to handle and gawk at the merchandise before buying, you also have the benefit of an actual store to return to if you need help with the product or if there's a problem.
