Any home-brewers?

Does anyone homebrew their own beer here? I got a basic kit a couple months ago. Went through the whole process with an IPA - delicious! Boiled a Weizen yesterday.

Very satisfying to drink beer you made yourself.

I brew several 12 gallon batches each year. Normally IPA's as they seem to be a consistent crowd please'r

I do full grain with 15.5 gal converted kegs as the sparge tank and boil kettle. For the mash tun I use a Coleman 70 quart Xtreme Cooler.

Homebrewer here as well. I mostly do small batch Wines and Meads, but getting ready to pick up a beer kit and some new equipment in the next few days. Considering a a Scottish Ale for my first run at beer.

I love the smell of fermenting wort.

I used to to homebrew years ago. I don't drink enough for it to be worth my time anymore.

I don't, but a couple of my friends started up Dying Vines Brewing. They make some awesome beer and are getting a following in the Bay Area brewing scene. They're on tap at several places around here.

I brew with my friend on and off, over the past couple of years we've done about 18 batches but only one of them was all grain. I was all excited for all grain but it took way, way longer than I thought (about 8 hours!) and I never wanted to do it again. I'll probably give it another go at some point with some kind of wind shield for my burner because I think it may have taken so long because we lost a lot of efficiency to wind but I guess we'll see. As for now, we bottled a cherry stout extract brew almost 2 weeks ago and should be bottling Bavarian Hefeweizen (Bavarian Hefeweizen made with Simcoe hops ...because I left the ones we were supposed to use at home...) this weekend or next week.
What I really want to do is try and make some cider (Cidre Brut) in the fall!
