This is what I was thinking. Do you notice anything else bothering your throat? It's big time allergy season here in the southwest.
Exactly... I've never had seasonal allergies until this year, (in Phoenix) and the last two weeks my nose and eyes are killing me... This morn I couldn't vape for the first two hours as it irritated my throat big time.

I don't have anything bothering my throat. Good idea though, I'm gonna take my allergy meds to see if that might help. Allergy season is over here though. Thanks for the idea, anything helps.
I live at 10,000 ft so it's like winter here.

7 days into vaping I developed an issue, now at 40 days. Thought it was PG so went to VG heavy juice. That has helped a little but still get a sore tongue. So then to unflavored VG, that helped a lot more but I still got issues. Can just about manage some menthol favor now and then but still trying to work it out. Hope you find a solution! :)

I would suggest proper hydration as well...and I mean PROPER. I usually drink about 4 normal sizes of bottled water a day + juice + milk etc. Now I'm up to 8-10 bottles of water and my throat irritation has lessened. Also, different toppers as suggested earlier. Sometimes a long period of a vapor running too hot can be okay in the beginning and can build up and lead to irritation it would seem, sometimes. So perhaps switch to a bottom coil device like a Protank 2 etc, and higher resistance levels I gather have a cooler vape as well.

I would also suggest highly suggest bringing down your nicotine level. Often times we don't get the same nicotine intake that we are accustomed to when we smoked regular cigs. You may think your getting just as much nicotine intake through vaping and very well may not be. 36 level nicotine has tremendous throat hit that can cause severe irritation. Maybe your body is trying to tell you to bring it down a bit.

I have been vaping for 3 months. A couple of weeks ago I developed a sensitivity to vanilla custard juices and cinnamon. Was fine before. I had to vape plain vg for several days and take a lot of benedryl for it to calm down. I had to reintroduce my juices cut with 50% vg, 50% juice. That whole process took over 10 days for me to be back to normal. You need to narrow down the problem. Process of elimination. You could have developed an allergy to something that has been fine all this time. Start with clean equipment and 100% vg for a couple of days and see if you get better.

Have you tried using a brand new tank? I had similar chemically taste persisting in my tanks (Halo Triton) and I think the culprits were uncleaned coils and also dry hits due to pinched wicks. No matter what I did, I couldn't get the nasty stuff out. The tanks are going into the RIP bin.

Also, all of the heads you tried might have some nasty chemicals in them. Have you cleaned them?

An idea for you, in a new and cleaned tank with cleaned heads, try vaping x%VG+y%PG+nicotine and no other flavors. Vary x and y and see if any of them cause problems. Good luck.

This may sound extremely weird, but after a year of vaping, EVERYTHING was raping the heck out of my throat...and I went down in nic level and it went away.

God only really knows why I could no longer tolerate such a high nic level, especially after a year of having been at that level (18).

Just a thought. Have you tried lowering the nic? You really never know.
