Any ideas of what we need for the VV that I am making?

Sorry, I have no idea honestly but I'm sure anything you make will be great products. But I hope that the VV you make can be also used on GGTS. However, if the VV needs minimum size of 18650 batteries, I'm very worried that if the GGTS w/ VV is going to be too tall and heavy for all day vaping.. Also, I hope that I do not need a screwdriver to adjust the voltage. I'm really sorry for not giving any idea of mine. All I'm saying here is my hope :(:( Sorry!! lol

I prefer non digital for the GGTS as it would ruin the concept a bit. I would also prefer a dial instead of a screw and for me personally 3-6 volts would be perfect. But I do hope that it will follow the beautiful design of the GGTS. Also no LED's please or other bling bling.

I agree with this, too. I think GGTS without digital display looks better :)

A dial would be good but you also have to consider the finished size of the unit.
I would like to see a Precious type vari system using touch button if that's possible
A pot screw type wouldn't work as how are you going to attach a volt meter to the it if you have a full tank of juice in the UFS?
I know i play with the voltage all the time on the Pro and Darwin when im using those so setting it for 6v then not altering defeats the object as you may as well just use batteries to achieve that.
A display would look OK-ish but as i said i would be all for a stealthy looking touch system where you'd just have a couple of small LED's and a small little touch button.
I've had a play with a Precious and they are not that hard to master

Imeo,

Please look into Pulse Width Modulation. This reduces heat and increases batt life for stacked batts. It is the new tech that is making it into e-cigs now and I believe that if the GG is going to have an electronic component, it should be the best to go along with the best mechanical e-cig.

If you decide to go with a boosted design, it would be nice to have something similar to what the Provari has.

Make the bottom cap the VV knob. You can do it easily with the same principle as the GGTS; limited threading. It will be a bit finicky for you to get right but you can do it.

And I second PWM. Otherwise there's significant loss in battery life.

Otherwise just keep to as many GG fundementals as you can-- build quality and button, mostly

I like the bottom cap idea. I just had a thought to expand on that idea.
1. The VV unit could replace the existing bottom cap and spring.
2. There could be a display and buttons for changing the voltage.
3. Have a cap over the display and buttons!

This way you can have all the advantages of digital voltage adjustment and display and still retain the beauty of the GG. This would most likely increase the lenght at the bottom of the GG instead of the middle, but IMHO would be a much cleaner implementation.

You also would not have to design an adjustable tensioner for the positive atty post. That would still be handled by the telescope when putting in the batts, The same as happens now.

Oh, I almost forgot, no matter how you decide to implement the VV mod I would like to see it made in SS.

Guys, sorry but I didnt put well my question. I know the way I will do it but I want to ask you what features you would like to see on it. E.g. digital display, booster, showing the resistance of atomizer, showing the voltage of the battery, keeping steady the voltage, working with all batteries (single, double etc.) I just want to know if there is something missing on the e-cig digital world. Something that will add a little more pleassure on vaping

As far as batteries are concerned, i think two batteries will be fine. The GGTS is a big unit, so no need to have boost capability. 2 x3.7 volts, and step down from there.
Design-wise i vote for a simple design. The one-button/no-display system you mentioned some time ago is fine. The GG design will be spoiled if you add displays and diodes; I would rather not want a GG-Pro-Darwin with diodes and displays that can check atomizer resistance and the temperature of my coffee!

I think that was about two cents worth :)
