Just wondering if any of you are metal heads like myself?
If so...

What are you currently listening to?
Who are your favorite bands?

Right now I'm listening to the Black Dahlia Murder, Gorod, and Spawn of Possession.

Favorites including the bands above are Opeth, Meshuggah, Obscura, Aeon, Fleshgod Apocalypse, etc. There's just too many to name right now lol.

Nope - the only time I ever liked metal it wasn't even called metal. Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, etc

And you may want to mention your vaping gear too so the thread doesn't get closed. My stuff is a couple of slim models and 3.7v inexpensive mods.

Well since you mention it, I got a couple V2 KR808D-1's, a couple of missing Halo G6's (RIP), Bloog and V4L coolcarts Cartomizers, and a bunch of e liquid from Blue Mist.

btw, Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix are definitely not metal, lol, but much respect goes to both of those artists, I can definitely appreciate a little of both, as a guitar player myself :D

Yep, guilty here.

Old school stuff, black, death, etc etc.

Don't listen as much since I hit the downward age slide, but most of my friends have been or still are in bands around Chicago and here.

Welcome to ECF. :vapor:

I can get down with some Death. I've been listening to some ".... rock" lately, there's this newish band out called Steel Panther...check it out, some pretty funny stuff. What do you vape on?

Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir...more cradle than Dimmu, but not as much lately. Recently I've been falling back to high school and listening to Fear Factory, MSI, and my military staples of Jack Johnson/Gorillaz. Feel like I have quite the spread here lol.

I like Dimmu, Cradle is alright, I guess I'm just not into Dani Filth's howling but I think we can agree that the whole "get-up" of Black Metal is laughable, with the corpse paint and the spiked outfits... I can't take that seriously

All over the map musically, but metal always has had a special place in my heart. I listen to a lot of thrash and a lot of djent. The Haunted are hands down my favorite band, have been for a long time. Followed by Meshuggah, Belphegor, Fuge, Slayer and others.

Same here, I listen to all sorts of stuff, but Metal has always hit my ears in a totally different way than other genres. Meshuggah are definitely the kings of Djent. Check out Periphery, they're djenty, but if you have a hard time getting passed whiny-ish vocals at some parts, then maybe not for you, I just find the instrumental version and I'm set :p

i used to really like Meshuggah, LOG , Soilwork and a few other grunge/stoner metal stuff like the Melvins
LoG kind of grew on me for a little while, then they kind of...grew off me...idk, I guess it was a phase...I still enjoy some of their songs, I just don't get amped up for new releases...same with Soilwork and In Flames...I like their older stuff, but the newer stuff is just...meh

Does Metalcore count? The Devil Wears Prada, Emmure, For Today, Jamie's Elsewhere.

I don't listen to much anymore though.. I'm into dubstep and house now. I'm still young though.

I guess it can count :p I'm not much of a metalcore fan, but to each their own. I'm more into Techy stuff, like Necrophagist and Spawn of Possesion, and shredding and djent like Animals as Leaders, Jeff Loomis. I guess whatever has the best guitars in my own opinion lol.
