Rob's site still has the AW button top listed as the recommended battery. Last I looked his battery purchase button links you to an AW authorized vendor. I kept seeing all the REO glamor shots on the forum and could not help but notice all the green battery bodies. I guessed they were the Sony 4's or 5s, much like the new 5s I received in the mail just a few days before the Grand arrived. I had read the recommendation, saw a vid of X's stating the AW button top was all he used and promptly blew X and the recommendation off with the arrival of my new Grand. I had new 5s and a new Grand, no brainer. Coiled up a single coil .35-.37 ohm with 26 gauge on a 2mm dia. screwdriver shaft, set AFC on the new RM 4 to the mid-sized hole. Loaded the bottle with some 75/25 DIY VG/PG, dabbed the contact, loaded bottle and battery, attached my fancy button top and set off in search of REO nirvana. First draw and holy s***! Nirvana, paradise found. I recall thinking "this is impossible" as I found myself chain vaping in disbelief.

Half way through that first bottle I was checking receivables, checking my balance and ordering the LP 2.1. At that point the only issues I had involved operator error. A word to the wise, no matter how much pressure you put on that squeeze bottle, until you press that little button on top of the mod your not going to get your vape. Thankfully that part of the squonking bell curve was ascended rather quickly.

Towards the end of the first bottle I noticed the arcing. No big deal as I had read about it before I purchased the REO. Took the battery out wiped/checked the contact and reapplied the med. Second bottle, things are getting worse, miss fires and weak fires on a fresh battery and I am also noticing a little battery shift and the button is getting stiffer. Checked button to make sure it was in the free to fire position. Check. I did not want to give it any hard mashes as I had also read about that before. Frustration grew and the Grand was parked. I did, as stated, purchased an AW button top the next day and got some life back into the mod, but it still wasn't right, just better.

At this point battery selection is moot to me. Think back to whatever the first thing was you did in excess and got sick, hurt, whatever and never did again, or it was years before you tried it again. I am not sure if was to many potato chips or all that scotch that time Mom and Dad went on vacation without us kids for me. Regardless, I had a bad experience with flat tops and now I am going to use button tops. The 2.1 has been perfect, just perfect running the AW 490 button and 4 new AW buttons will be here by the time Rob returns the Grand. FYI I did email Rob about what contacts would be in my Grand before I purchased it. That's right, I read about them and wanted to be sure my mod would be so equipped. It was. So flat tops now a non-issue for the mods with the new contacts. Great! I had my flat top experience for now and think I will try something else for awhile.

I have three. I first bought a Mini 2.1 and loved it. But then came the Woodvil sale. I bought two that night. The first one I bought would have been just fine, but then I saw the one in my avatar and bought it, too. My intention was to sell one of the woodies. But…that hasn't happened yet and may not. Heh.

Nerak had mentioned that it's good to have a metal to "go out on the town" (and use the woods at home), which I thought sounded like a great idea and was my plan. It worked for a while, but once I fell in love with my avatar mod, I don't leave home without it. I know the risks I'm taking, but I keep a close eye on it and haven't had any issues yet. I get asked about the wood more than the metal and that's a good thing! Always talking Reo. :)

Sadly, my mini and first wood don't get used much, but they are ready to go in case I get a wild hair. I guess my point is, I have three, but use one. It really is nice to know, though, that there are two waiting in the wings should I desire to change things up.

My first was a woodvil. I was so charmed by reos but scared but would still creep over here and lurk around even though my "home" was on the nicoticket forum. I loved how they looked but was terrified of building anything and more over terrified of blowing my face off (which now I find quite humorous since that's NEVER going to happen). I just got approved on the classifieds and kept hitting refresh for a period of hours while at work. Then I saw it. The most beautiful woodvil I had ever seen and knew it had to be mine even though I didn't have a clue how to use it. I bought it from masterofnone and then came here and made my first post and immediately was welcomed. I think two weeks after this purchase, I bought a lp grand black anodized. Then a month later a mini copper vein and then 2 weeks ago the SL LP white reo with my gold cyclone. So, fast forward from about 3 months ago and I'm 4 reos in. I can't seem to shake the thought of buying one of the bright colored ones. I love the purple and the metallic blue or green. I have various different juices in them and one stays at work most of the time and one stays on my desk at home - and then 2 travel with me everywhere. :)

My friends who are trying to quit get to "use" them on loan when I have pool parties. I set all my vape stuff out like my mvp2 and provari and my vamos. It's funny b/c there are 2 of my friends now that will bring an extra case of beer or a bottle of tequila to get to use the reo all day. At this point, I think my reos have paid for themselves.

I bought my first REO on 7-8 from MsLoud, a lovely sl/lp copper vein Grand, It was love at first vape! I have since bought 2 more off the classies, then today my brand new sl/lp tumbled sits at the post office waiting for me to bring her home in the morning! I saw what MsLoud did to her mini and I had to have her big sister (Or will be when I get done sanding and polishing)

Now I have a new problem, atomizers, ugh! I want every shinny atomizer! Vicious Ant will be the death of my bank account for sure. But hey, since I started vaping exclusively (12/01/13) my blood pressure has dropped and the meds that I was taking for it has been cut in half! And that's not a bad problem to have......I'll discuss weight gain somewhere else

If it is a BF Cyclone you are looking for you can save a couple bucks and get one from Chowderhead72, ($45.00),. Check out his thread... http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-supplier-forum/581604-catfish-atty-mods.html
