Think it was best described here over on the other thread by the great FSROQ
"There is a demand for high power mods, and now somebody came and produces it for small money. Within 3 or 4 month this can be bought for 60 or 70$ and others will have to remake there policis of production and prices or will disapaer.

No need to be sceptical, we know for now that a step down regulater gives far better results then a booster. Can be seen at any cheap box mod, madvapes simple vv box mod gives better power then a provari.

Thats the real world withouth all the hype."
questions about it go on for a page or two. But it is interesting info. Hope it helps.
I guess I still don't see why stacked batteries would be preferential aside from the possibility of vaping at higher wattages. In that thread, fsroq says
IMHO yes, vape is more consistent and powerfull on mods with stacked batterys.
Spelling errors aside, I don't see any sort of justification or reasoning for his statements. Maybe in his experience, stacked battery mods have performed better? I don't know, I personally have no issues getting a "powerful" and consistent vape on my provari with its single battery, and I don't know what stacking batteries could offer aside from a higher theoretical amp limit.

I looked not there. Did you find a link yet? It sounds cool.

I saw it on a video at the vaperspace.com, VP Live Vipe Team or it was in one of Pbusarbo new videos about Chicago VipeBash . (Maybe both) They talked to the maker of the new fuse and it was a pipe mod maker just not real sure which one. Sorry

EDIT : found a link

I can't provide the science behind it, but I am pretty sure that at the very least you get better battery life, and maybe faster current outflow (batteries being equal in drain rates) when you regulate voltage down as opposed to transforming it up.

It makes sense that stepping down voltage mods are able to perform better to me. It is like how a super car with a 8 cylinder engine will probably perform better at 150 mph then a supper charged 4 cylinder engine. They can both get to 150 mph but probably the 8 cylinder one is more stable there. That is how I picture it. Sorry for my spelling errors. Just trying to make sense of it too :p But I guess we will see.
