i was looking around for a step up module and found this regulator and it seem like it would work well for a 5v box mod anyone try this one yet?
have a look and let me know what ya think.

any links to a good step up module would helpful as well
p.s i have the ti step up booster just looking for some thing that will use a 3.7 lipo cell with a out put range of 3.7 to 5.5 would be really nice.

These are pretty close to Ti switching module chip . I was going to try one out but mouser is out of the 10amp ones till Feb. Some reason Digikey has them marked up pretty high or i would get one there. You can use the evercool circuit for these. Only thing thats really different is the resistance values TI chi 220 omhs gets you 5.5 volts with this chip it takes you to 6 volts.

Since he called it a booster chip i just figured he was looking at a wrong data sheet. Really the only weak point of these type buck regulators is at low output voltage and even then 80% is not all that bad. This reg has 80% efficiency with a 0.6 output voltage. That not a voltage we would be using to vaporize so it doesn't even come into play.

I also am hunting like mad for a decent buck dc-dc step-down module (the TI in the evercool is just too expensive), Ebay has a lot of shady ones based on the LM29596S-ADJ (sometimes not even the S-ADJ),
the one in the OP post seems pretty good just skimming trough the datasheet, just cant find the minimum V between Vin and Vout.
