We've all had crappy days like that. Three years in and I'm still having them now and then. The really impressive thing though is you wanted a cigalike, not a cig

Thank you, I appreciate that. Since starting this thread I've bought a few things to help me in specific scenarios. So far it's all working out great!

- I got a couple 30ml bottles of my favorite juice, for when I get burned out/disappointed trying new vendors' stuff.
- I got a Joyetech eRoll kit, which ended up being great for when I'm reading in bed, walking to a store, or just angry at cartomizers. haha
- I got a Kanger Protank, and it's only my first day using it, but I love it.

I carry 4 or 5 set-ups with me everywhere I go, all filled up and ready to use. If I trusted my gear to always work with no surprises, I would only carry 2, one to use and one for backup.

But, I've learned that about 30% of the time something will go wrong with at least one (sometimes more than one all at once). At home, that's not an issue. But, when I'm on the way to work, I have absolutely no patience to mess with something that's not working right. If I have 4 or 5, odds are that SOMETHING will work.

Thats one of the first things that stuck, make sure your backups have backups...

The world of vaping is a fickle mistress. I'm so glad I made this thread, because it feels like a safe zone I can return to. Haha. So just a couple days after posting that I got an eRoll and Kanger Protanks, I already had a "discouraging day" and am using my AGR carto tank. The eRoll ended up getting too hot for the frequency that I vape at so I gave it to one of my best friends to use, and the Kanger Protank started making an annoying whistling sound that no cleaning fixed...

Soooo, discouraged, I punched and primed a carto (which I was just complaining about a few days ago), filled a tank with Vixen Vapors Tiger's Blood--a juice I've never even used--and I'm back to vaping bliss for the time being. Backups and options, people, right?

Also...

Well, I had those days before I bought my Reo Grand. Since then it has been nothing but vaping bliss. I have a 2ohm HH.357 on there. It is the perfect no mess, no fuss, grab-n-go PV for me and a lot of other people.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up owning one of those sometime this year.

I always seem to have bad days when I'm travelling. When I moved to a new country a couple years ago, I had a frustrating couple months trying to find a reliable source of juice that didn't taste like hot taint and clog up my gear. One time I had 3 attys with me camping in the middle of nowhere and they all decided to give out on me at the same time. Just a horrible hot mist with no th or vapor. That led me to my first mod and RBA, and the learning curve that comes with it. I came pretty close to tossing it into the junk drawer, but rediscovered this site and made it through.

I'm more than 4 years in now, and there are always good days and bad days. Luckily, as technology keeps advancing there are fewer bad ones.

I'm kind of paranoid that way too, although I don't lug that many alternate set-ups around. But even if I'm just going to the corner store, I'll still pack an extra battery, 5mls of e-liquid, a car charger, usb charger, and an extra clearo with an extra head in my eGo case. I always think, Well, what if I get held up in a fender-bender, or I break down? :p

Same here, I am FULLY prepared everywhere I go!

I have been vaping for roughly 5 years and this is something I have always struggled with. It is usually hardware related but sometimes just being around a smoker can trigger the desire for a real cigarette. The funny thing is, one hit of a real cig is enough to remind me why I switched. Instant headache and the worst taste I can imagine stuck in my mouth for hours. It has taken a long time and a lot of experimenting with setups, but that desire comes far far less often than it did before.

Had a bad day last week, well it was only bad for half an hour. Just finishing work and the battery went on my Vmod, didn't have a spare battery. Dug my backup ego/nova set-up out of my bag, took 2 hits and the battery died on that one too. Luckily, it only took 30 minutes to get home and my Vamo was set there waiting for me with a fully charged battery inside.

Used to get lots of hard days when I first started vaping, mainly due to only having one 650 ego battery and a ce4 tank. It just wouldn't last all day and leak like mad. I soon learned to get backups.

What seems to help me is variety -- enough different stuff that when my usual go-to just loses it satisfying qualities, there's something completely different to grab and vape on. Compared to what cigs cost, it's not expensive to sample and have plenty of various everything to switch to when something that was the greatest just suddenly seems to suck for no real reason.

I wouldn't say I'm a veteran, but I have about 6 months of accelerated learning thanks to the folks on ECF. Finally thought I had it figured out and WHAM! A bad day.

My favorite is having a perfectly running carto tank one day; go to bed and the next morning it's flood city and I can never get it right again. Or being out somewhere and having a protank head decide to burn up or clog. I still occasionally have a cigarette, but don't usually carry them with me so I end up cursing.

I just took a six day trip 2000 miles away and took 1 mod w/ 1 rba (batteries, juice, charger). My confidence in my device was not betrayed. Aside from that, I get excellent flavor, reliable performance, zero leaking . . . . . . every time, all the time. This grab and go device is, after months of disappointment, leakage, flavor loss, and $ spent on other mods and toppers . . . . really nice.

Well folks, it's time to put my foot in my mouth (or... my foot on my keyboard?). Today has been another crap vaping day (a whistling flavorless Protank and a carto in a tank going dry) so even though I told 2 or 3 people in this thread I don't like dripping, I'm going to try it again! Haha. Ugh.

I've got my sights on the Ikenvape 510 SR atties, but does anyone have any other specific recommendations instead of those? I'd want something with 510 threading, non-rebuildable or a million dollars, and above like 2.0 ohm.
