So I got my Magma kit yesterday and after playing around with it for an evening here's what I think of it:

The pack- Its overall a nice pack. It holds 2 batteries 5 cartos and has a slot for an assembled ecig which is nice. The charging feature works really well on it and I like that it displays how much battery life is left in the pack. I don't like how you put the battery in to charge. You don't screw it down. It "snaps" down and its not very precise how it fits in. Sometimes I'm pressing on it and it doesnt go down, like its not on target. I feel that this is eventually going to break a battery or the case. However when you DO snap it down it doesnt charge right away. You have to hold the button on the side until you see the battery blink. Once the charging cycle is done it shuts off preventing overcharge.

Batteries - Not much to report here. It's a 510 auto battery and it works. One of the batteries I got has a weak auto switch but its not bad enough to send it back for. The batteries have a nice look to them and dont feel cheap.

Cartomizers - 2.1 ohm verticle coil cartos. They work as expected. Although the flavor isnt as clean as I was hoping (compared to protank or equiv)

Magma clearomizers - These are basically shorty CE2s. So far I don't like them. You have to syringe fill these like most CE2s but with these ones the juice just ends up leaking out of the top or bottom of it depending on which way you are holding it. I think it's due to how much wick they pack into that that little thing. Way too much if you ask me. They hit pretty nice for a minute after you fill em, but after that they arent wicking well at all and I think its because the vacuuming is off do to the leaks when filling. It may just be a bad clearo or I may have to take it apart and play with it. I only tried the 1 clearo so far (in a pack of 5) so who knows.

Overall: This is not a bad kit at all. There's some things I don't like with it but they are minimal. I got exactly what I was aiming to get as stated in my original post and I learned something with this. When vaping a cig-a-like setup... Inhale directly to your lungs. :D The hit is awfully close to one of my mods with a protank that way :vapor:

Did you know the Magma is just a basic 510 unit?

After all this time, I just got my first 510 threaded battery last week. To be honest, I can't even really remember why I got an 808 in the first place. I remember just ordering an 801 because all the jargon on Puresmoker's site freaked me out. The protege with an 801 lol..a finicky beast on a good day. Especially when they went with the new switch that was mechanical. If it didn't hit..you just started spinning, tightening and cleaning s*** lol

Looks like a nice kit. We can buy them here but they're £44.99 ...seems bit pricey.

I got a few starter kits when I stopped smoking, but the batteries will be past their best soon, and I do like having something smaller to pop in my pocket. I've found the V2 batteries to perform best over time.

When I start cutting down on nicotine, I'll perhaps want to go back to these for more general use.
I do wish their cartridges had a VG option because I tend to think the pre-filled ones are less likely to leak when out and about.

I saw that Blu do VG ones but they aren't available in the UK so would have to be ordered from the US site.

Anyway, hope your new kit works well for you.

I'd been vaping for a few months when I got stuck an airport and needed a fix. The only thing I could find was a logic menthol platinum. I don't like menthol but as I didn't have a choice, I bought it. It was surprisingly nice. So I ordered the normal tobacco cartridges from them and that is a taste I would love to reproduce. They don't sell their eliquid separately. But when you match the cartridge to an ego 900mah battery (use a 4081 to 501 adapter) it is a really nice setup. Easyvapors sells logic compatible cartridges and for a good turkish eliquid it is perfect. But the 900mah battery is not so portable.

For a really great and pocket sized cartridge setup, I've found the smokeless image volt (808) cartridges matched with a halo triton 600mah battery is damn near perfect. Again, tobacco flavors seem to work best and as it feels like an analog in your mouth that can be a good thing. The halo cartridges don't seem to have the same draw or last more than a few days. The halo battery is small, maybe less than 3" but it lasts and lasts and recharges quickly. The smokeless image 555 liquid is an ok tobacco flavor but it leaves the room smelling of tobacco, in a nice way. I always keep a couple of these in my shirt pocket when I'm flying because they're so compact. I generally use Indigo vapors The Turk or Crystal Clear Vaping's RY4. They both mix well with vanilla or banana too for a bit of variety.

For other flavors I generally stick with halo tanks and iclear 16s.

I quit smoking with a Halo G6 kit. I use a Triton now, and am shopping for my first mod. So am I still using the G6?

Well, right now I am vaping my Triton with MBV Black Ice. Lying on my desk beside it is my other Triton tank filled with my previous ADV, a Halo menthol mix. I switch the tanks back and forth several times an hour, trying to decide whether Black Ice is my new ADV.

And beside my Triton and its spare tank is my little G6 manual battery with a mini-tank on it, which has been filled with Kringle's Curse for several weeks. I only hit it a few times a day. I just need me a little peppermint every now and then. I honestly can't remember the last time I even charged its battery. When the mini-tank finally shuffles the mortal coil (Get it? Mortal COIL?), I'll whip out my last G6 blank carto and fill it with... well, probably Kringle's Curse. Did I mention I need me some peppermint every now and then?

So there it is, my little G6 not going to waste. :)

I have been vaping for over three years and still use the ego batteries--have 950 & 1100--have four of each with dct tanks--make my own liquid non nic and make low nic for wife both of us are satisfied with the hits and how long they last. If one break or falls apart o'well just purchase another battery or two. Also have the original v2 cig batteries with their ex tanks for trying out new mixtures and the wife takes one to work since it is light weight and last as until lunch --then she changes to a fresh charged one and off she goes. Looked at the new ones but too bulky and too much trouble.

Not sure if this is the same thing, but I use these with a clearomiser for when I want a small battery and they come in SS. They don't take as long as the 4 hours stated to charge either. There's also a shorter version too, both in auto or manual.
•Voltage: 4.2 volts
•Battery Rating: 380 mAh
•Charging Time: 4 Hours
•Length: 110 mm/4.3”
•Diameter: 9.25 mm/0.37”
