my friend has asthma, it got worse when she started smoking (few years ago) she quit smoking and is now vaping, but her asthma has not improved at all. Do you (if you have asthma) notice vaping helped your asthma? and if you dont have asthma, got any info for me?:p.

Also, could switch to 100% VG help? maybe PG is a problem? Thanks!

I had asthma,COPD and have had a lobe of my lung removed due to pneumonia many years ago.
I have also had open heart surgery.
I was a 2 pack+ a day smoker who could hardly walk my dog when I started vaping last year.
Within two weeks of vaping my breathing started to get easier and I felt like I wasn't wheezing when I'd lay down to sleep or go up and down the stairs at home. Any physical activity would cause me to wheeze uncontrollably and feel light-headed.
I never wanted to quit smoking but after using an eGo for two days I was shocked when my Kools no longer tasted "good" to me and on the third day I had completely given up my beloved Kools!
My point is this, some of us with severe chronic breathing issues may take a little bit longer to clear up.
I know for me though I was able to quit relatively easily, it did take a couple of months for me to stop using the 4 inhalers and steroids that I required every single day but what a happy day when it did come! I was also using 100% VG juices thinking it might be better for me but truth is ,it just made me more congested so I just jumped right in and started ordering 50/50 or 60/40 juices.
Tell your friend to have a lung function study done or a spirometry test to determine if her breathing issues are getting better and definitely make sure she drinks plenty of water and exercises even if she is just walking. It really helped to clear my lungs the walking!
Best wishes on her recovery!

Innteresting that VG may cause weezing. I've vapped mostly 80/20 without much problem, but found that for the past couple months I've used my alberterol more frequently before going to bed. I'm currently vapping 30/70 using NOW organic vg with the same pomegrante flavoring I've vapped for about a year and a half now. Ill have to try less vg and see if it helps.

My 2 daughters(ages 4 and 5) and I all have asthma. I was on advair the 50/500 2x/day!!! My girls are both on singulair. Since I started vaping, I have had a few issues:

The normal swollen throat everyone seems to get learning how to inhale, and a severe cough that was the lungs clearing the smoking crap out.

What has changed: I no longer wheeze. I no longer cough(some at night, but thats me). I no longer need the Advair. I havent used the inhaler in weeks, before vaping I would use it daily.
Even though I did not smoke in the house or car, my kids would still get asthma attacks. Since May of this year, each child has only had to use an inhaler once. So I know I must have carried something on my clothes from smoking.

I vape 70/30 or 60/40 pg/vg.
