I posted this once before and didn't get a reply. But I saw another poster's avatar and it was a goblin female from the game.

So, does anyone play WoW? A lot of changes are happening in-game. Any players care to comment?

P.S., I love vaping, because it allows me to play the game without having to go out every 20/30 minutes for a smoke! :)

thca!! Right here you got yourself a bonafide WoW player! i think ive bean playing since 2008 or so, Vanilla anyway. 85 Gnome mage "Sizzlekakes" 85 tauren hunter "Primeribzz" 85 dwarf warrior "Griffinfell" and a couple other 85s and multiple lvl toons lol.

89 Human warlock here!

For me, smoking a cig and wow would go hand in hand. I can't even tell you the number of times I'd be sitting here running a dungeon with a cigarette hanging out of my mouth. I smoked in the house despite hating my house smelling like smoke. vaping has made this so much better. I still get my nicotine while playing but my house doesn't smell awful.

I haven't rolled a panda yet but I love the Pandaren world for upper levels. SO much cooler than Cataclysm, even though you can't fly until you hit 90.

I have a whole pack of toons on the Horde side of Turalyon server. I got my boss and a few of my co workers hooked during Wrath. Wrath rocked.

I can't say that I'm liking the MoP changes. The specs are too rigid. The only way to accomplish anything end game now requires a stupid amount of repetitive questing. The gear that you need for entry level raiding can only be acquired by grinding rep with multiple factions. No more tabard rep. I liked having the option to skip out on most of the quest grinding. I'm a dungeon guy.

Having said that, I'm leveling a mistwalker(heal spec) monk. I'm liking it so far. I'm about lvl 40.

I'm watching the development of Elder Scrolls Online very closely. If it carries like Skyrim, WoW may be going bye bye.

I'm hitting this thread really late. I no longer play, but I did play for at least 2 years. I got both a female human warrior and female human warlock up to about 84 level. I leveled my chosen professions pretty high at the time and made tons of gold. I always had mostly epic gear. Both had flying mounts; I even earned a flying red dragon for the Warlock. I never cared much for tanking with the warrior, but I did INCREDIBLE damage with the warlock.

When one of the expansions came out, I was competing with my older teenage son for computer time on a new Alienware gaming PC, and I realized then that it was taking up way too much of my free time. I occasionally think about getting back on just to reminence. My warlock character is still human, but my son took over the warrior character and made her Horde :-x

For the Alliance!! :headbang:

Ever since 2006, I wanted to play WoW, but my computers have always been family hand-me-downs and I've never been able to load it. So, there for a while, I was playing Runescape. It's like "Wow"-lite. Browser-based.

Well, my cousin (my vaping cousin) scrounged up this current computer (the one I'm typing with now), and pre-loaded it with WoW. I "rolled" my first "toon", a Blood Elf Arms Warrior. I had no idea what class or role to play, so I picked the one I felt like I knew the most about (what's more to being a warrior than swinging a sword?).

Well... holy crap. I'm by no means a gamer. I don't own any consoles. I never owned a video game console beyond an Atari 2600 ("If you want to play video games, you can go to your friends' houses!") But I became VERY addicted, very quickly.

I've only been playing a year. Leveled my arms warrior to 85 in about 10 months. This is a very, very low-end computer, and I can barely run WoW as it is. I can't raid, so I could only do dungeons. I was able to gear him up enough to do the Dragonsoul raid, but that's as far as I got with him and gearing up. When Mists of Pandaria came out, I leveled him up to 90 through questing. My comp can't handle the new dungeons for MoP. Got my current armor from my mentor. It's a PVP set, and I am NOT a PVP guy. But it's good enough for me to run dungeons when I'm at his place, and it's more than enough for me to hold my own in normal PVE.

There's really not much for my warrior to do right now. He's maxed in professions. All I do now with him is work towards achievements. Got the Explorer title recently.

Right now I'm leveling a Troll balance druid. I REALLY like this class. They're VERY versatile. They have four different forms (flight, water, travel, and moonkin forms), and they can both cast, tank, melee dps, and heal. I'm a massive Batman fanatic, so my main goal right now is to push him to 60 so I can attain bat-flight form. He's 53 right now. Still leveling in Kalimdor.

Oh, forgot, here are the details:

Elfpunk @ Bloodhoof server (my main)
Trollstomp@ Bloodhoof server (my alt, who I currently play the most).

I am almost exclusively Horde.

FOR THE HORDE! ;-)

Bust out WoW, Batitude, and let's level up! LOL.

I know WoW sucks up a lot of time than can be used for other things, so I totally understand if you're over it by now. :)

I'd never turn Horde, and I'm sure you'd never turn Alliance.

As I said, if I can ever get on the good computer (this one is running on Windows XP and never could play wow on it.) I might just get on to see what changes have been made by flying around Stormwind City and the like. I can't even remember the citie's names in the other expansions now. But it would be great to cast some wicked fire bolts and totally vaporize something again. I was always proud of my red dragon (it wasn't called a dragon...how quickly we forget).

I've got some toons on Mal'ganis, most importantly a blood elf Holy Paladin and a blood elf Frost DK.

However, I haven't played in awhile. I decided to play GW2, which I couldn't get into, and then took a break from mmorpg games all together.

Most recently I've been very addicted to Planetside 2, which is the first ever mmofps. The epic pvp battles with hundreds of infantry, planes, transport vehicles, tanks, all fighting over one base really has to be experienced. It's just incrediblely fun and the game is free to play.

I've thought about creating an Alliance toon, but the good guys always seem so... vanilla. I like the Horde much more. They stink, they're dirty, they growl.

It all goes back to my childhood when I would play with my He-Man toys. He-Man always lost in my epic playtime battles. Why? Because Skeletor never got He-Man's sword. He was the underdog. I root for the underdog. So, in my playtime, evil won. ;-) (Dude, I used to tack yarn to my bedroom ceiling and the base of Skull Mountain. He-Man would always zip-line into action. But once I got ahold of my mom's lipstick, and started giving He-Man battle wounds, Mom got worried. ;-) )

And yes, it is very fun to see your magic bolts fly through the ether and utterly reduce an NPC to bones.

EDIT: Pretty sure you got a drake mount.

I play Diablo 3 but tis getting boring.

Yeah, my buddy got it for free with his annual pass to WoW. Played it hardcore for like three weeks, then, done. It's one of those games you'll go back to for nostalgia, I feel. Like I do with the original StarCraft.

StarCraft was a good outlet for anxiety for me. I would load a random scenario, breed the blank out of zerglings, then rush the human base camp before they could lob out more than two marines. Those sound effects formed the notes to my symphony of tension and anger release.

I loaded WOW once and ditched it once they asked for the $14.95 a month fee and went back to Halo online. I couldn't see spending the time I saw my friends spending to build experience levels and gaining status.

I'm a member of the Halo ATP clan and that gives me all the gaming time I want. Every day is a new day and I don't feel the urge to spend my life building on yesterday! Halo is a series of maps with lots of friendships built over time, whether you are in a clan or not. It's all about increasing skills and experience.

Honestly, there isn't very much to do on WoW right now.

Like another poster said, you no longer have tabards to gain rep in dungeons. It's all daily quests now in Pandaria. In order for you to gear up for raids, which many see as the pinnacle of WoW gameplay, you have to do umpteen daily quests to become exalted with factions. Once you're exalted, then you can gear up for raids.

My computer is too old and slow for WoW raiding. I can't even run Pandaria dungeons. The lag is just too much.

I have one level 90 character, a blood elf arms warrior. Right now all I do with him is farm Setthik Halls in Auchindune in Outland for a bird mount.

I'm currently leveling a troll balance druid. He's level 55 right now. At 60 I'll be able to earn flight-form and turn into a bat and completely bypass mount-buying. But ever since they made mounts account-wide (i.e., any of your toons can fly/ride on any mount your main has acquired), it's no big deal.

I just want to be able to turn into a bat!

Uther server, Horde.

Cata saw my Undead Holy/Disc priest to 85, my Tauren Unholy/Frost DK to 85, My Goblin Arcane/Fire mage to 85, my Belf Holy/Prot pally to 85, and my Troll Surv/MM hunter to 85

MoP so far has only seen my pally, now Holy/Ret to 90, and My hunter, now Surv/BM to 90.

I'm loving the hunter, but I don't have a lot of free time and all those dailies and quests are making me not want to do them.

Only the hunter is raid geared, and the pally, well, meh. I'm sure they'll start giving gear away again real soon :p Then I'll level the rest.
