I've only been vaping for three and a half weeks, but I've already lost four pounds. First of all, I'm drinking a lot more water. Second, I'm hardly drinking any soda because I don't like what it does to the juice flavors. And third of all, when I'm craving something sweet, instead of reaching for cake or candy, I vape it and most of the time, it satisfies me, especially Swedish Fish and Fudge Brownie flavors. Plus, I feel better so I have more energy to move around instead of sitting in one spot wheezing from the stinkies.

Anyone else experiencing the same thing? The benefits of vaping just keep piling up!

I wish I were experiencing that benefit.....unfortunately NOT :?:

LOL, I keep my VV by my computer most of the time with my all-day vape in it, but while I'm running around doing laundry or cleaning or whatever, I stick my 510-T in my pocket with some Swedish Fish or Chocolate Brownie in it and when I'm tempted to grab a snack, I take a drag or two instead. Maybe it works for me because my all day vapes aren't very sweet, so keeping the really sweet ones as a treat fools my brain. Whatever the reason, so far it's working. :p

I don't know if I'm losing weight, but I'm not gaining. Sort of the same thing you described. I drink a LOT of water. I bought a coke, small one and it sat in my fridge for 2 weeks...I just took a sip. I don't like the taste anymore. I also find I don't crave sweets as much. I think because I vape a lot of fruit and sweet juices that I don't seem to need candy. One thing I don't like is that now hot things are too hot!! I love hot peppers, etc, but they burn my tongue like crazy..LOL.

Vaping helped make me more health issue alert and gained more weight in the beginning but am lighter and stronger for sure now.I wonder if any juice maker has ever made a beginner juice to destroy taste buds so much that food wouldn't taste so much better without smoking? It would be flat out evil but might be a great seller in the short term to sell.Think I will have to check myself for any "Halliburton "genes after that thought.

I had the exact same experience and i attributed it to the water, lack of sweet treats and being unable to enjoy sugary drinks. Also, because i feel better in general, i'm more active that I was when i smoked.

One other thing that I noticed is that since my tastebuds have healed, I can taste the actual flavor of food and don't require a bunch of seasonings, oils, fats, etc to enjoy them. I always had to drown broccoli in cheese sauce, but now that is too rich for me and I prefer it simply steamed with just a dash of salt and pepper.

All these little things add up :)

great advice, when bk whoppers add 160 calories with the mayo alone its time to ask for special order and reevaluate what is really important.

Many people may forget or not know that nicotine causes an increased metabolism and reduces hunger.
Which leads to losing weight (;))

I dont know about you guys but I feel that I use much more nicotine now simply due to the availability (can vape anytime during work)

oh thats not great. Here I am pumping away in the gym trying to gain pounds :p Hope me vaping all day is not countering it , afterall i quit analogs for well being and better results in the gym

as long as you "beef it"(pump)without smoking you will become tony atlas ish
at 45 years of age
Tony Atlas Bench Press - YouTube

He use to be jesse the body ventura (gov of some sparsely populated state) everyday wresting foe, back when it was after rollerderby on a saturday.Good memories. On a serious note my lifting took off after quitting smoking for vaping.

Good video :), Although I was really looking forward the food cravings of quitting smoking but vaping seems to have prevented that. I was planning on eating like crazy coming off of analogs but the appetite didn't come. So im forcing myself to eat 6-8 times a day(including shakes) in order to gain pounds. I have a very high metabolism and low bodyfat

I've noticed at least initially that my evening beer consumption has gone down. Whereas when I was smoking traditional cigarettes and had to go outside to do it, I would almost always have a beer at my side (maybe 4 in the course of an evening after work). Now that I can vape inside and kind of chain vape, I have maybe 2 beers in the same time frame. I open one and pour it into a glass and it sits a lot longer now. It's still too early to notice much from that, but I drink Yuengling regularly, and it's 135 cal in 12oz. So that's an average of 270 less calories per day. Not a huge reduction, but that's around 1800 cal a week, which in theory equals about half a pound. But as others have said, the overall thinking healthier concept is kicking in as well as I am buying my groceries I pay more attention to what's good for me and what's not.

I'm by no means overweight mind you. Around 5-10/11 and 165-170#, but my love of beer shows some in my belly. I'm thinking as my overall health improves from vaping instead of smoking of either joining a gym or investing in a bicycle again. Back in my teens before I had a car I would bike everywhere. We lived in Germany (USAF family) and off base, so I would say it was around 15m or so to get from my house to the gate to go on base. I would bike there to do whatever I needed, and then dad had a pickup truck so I would ride home with him in the evening.

But one thought on the weight loss, how many of you showing some loss are out walking more or doing more things now that you don't feel winded all the time? I've already noticed I walk a bit more now than before, including parking further out in parking lots.

Great work!
Here I am on the other end of the spectrum.
About 14 months ago I started pumping that iron, a basic starting strength routine along with a healthy diet to try to lose weight (was at 320, currently at 235 with MUCH more muscle)
After a month or two of sub-par gains I decided to quit smoking analogues. After that, my lungs and work capacity shot through the roof. Almost 12 months later i began starting to vape, and I dont notice the level of tiredness I used to get with analogues.
Keep increasing that weight and keep eating healthy and that will do more for your body than the nicotine will!

Me naturally having a low metabolism and huge drive for food, I actually think e-cigs may help me move forward in my fitness goals!

Nevertheless, good luck, and get big :)
