Wow, I don't even know what to say to some of the posters...you're on a website that promotes vaping, but all you can talk about is quitting vaping. You shouldn't be joining CASAA, you should be joining the ANTZ, inasmuch as you parrot many of their talking points! As for myself, I have no plans to QUIT (not quite) or reduce my nic, and lets not even get started on that "demon nicotine" thing that's so popular on ECF.

I don't think this is a fair thing to say. It's like the thing that happens when people want to leave the smoking sub-culture too. If you want to quit it must mean you are giving over to the anti- side? I haven't seen anyone say that nicotine is evil or that vaping is wrong (if they said that I would respectfully disagree). But some people do not want to be addicted to nicotine and maybe don't want the expense or time spent on vaping for the rest of their lives. That doesn't put them anywhere close to thinking like an ANTZ.

His post was either poorly written sarcasm or he is a troll. Please do not feed the trolls.

I will stop because I get the same "Oh no!" when I leave the house without my vape..like I use to with my cigs..it makes me feel weak and not in control!

same here. thats a feeling i want to eliminate from my life. hopefully i can get to the point where i can go a day without even thinking abaout vaping, like i see many people here say they do.

Most people on ECF, and in the vaping community, have found vaping because they want to find a way to stop smoking. Whether it be for health or money reasons. When they find out how much easier it is to quit smoking, they then turn their attention to possibly lowering their nic intake. Not all are looking to do that and some just want to get to the minimum that their body needs.

Just because I want to go down in nic does not mean I'm demonizing nic. It just means my body does not require the higher nic I started with. Isn't that a good thing? I applaud those that can stop vaping too. That is as big an accomplishment as the original accomplishment of switching from smoking to vaping.

Even if I did manage to stop vaping I would continue to fight for vaping. I will always be a member of CASAA, regardless whether I vape or not. I want this to be available for any future generations that come after me. I'm thinking of my grandkids that I have now and my future great grandchildren and all those greats after them. Something in my genetics and those I have passed down, pretty much guarantees that some of those future generations will probably be drawn to nicotine. I would rather they have ecigs as an option.

ECF is all about ecigs. It's here for us to cheer those that reach their personal goals and to commiserate with those that have problems. It's a place to discuss safety, legislation, innovations and everything in between. Friendships are formed and enemies too sometimes. One thing we ALL have in common, we have used ecigs. They have given many people hope to be able to use nic in a healthier way.

We might not have a choice when to quit. I fear "nicotine" will become the new anti-christ. It will most likely be so regulated, legislated and taxed so far out of reach that many of us just won't put up with the hassles any more. (Like tobacco did for most of us).
We always had a choice. The choice may be expensive in terms of time or money, and it may even have potential health or legal consequences, but in the end, I own me, and nobody else is going to decide what I do or don't inhale or ingest.

Who owns you?

Oh, and to answer the original question: I do not intend stop vaping.

Well I for one probably won't stop vaping. I've only been on it for a few months but I am already at the point where I crave the flavor, but then again I chose cigs based on taste too. The idea that you puff and puff more than you did on cigs is actually a misconception. I too find myself puffing a lot on my PV but when I actually paid attention to it I found that time wise I do about 20-25 puffs on a cig in about 5 min or less where I do the same amount of puffs on my PV in about an hours time so overall its less even though its a bit more constant. The nice thing is I don't fret if I have to go without vaping for a while like I used to having to skip a cig.

The funny thing for me, thanks to my GF pointing it out, is I actually eat less candy than I used to. We have a candy jar that we used to fill up once a month but since I have been vaping some of these heavenly flavors that jar hasn't dropped much and hasn't needed to be refilled in 3 months. I'm actually saving money in two places now :)

I don't know if I'll quit vaping or not - I'm not too worried about it either way. The BIG thing is that after 47 years of smoking tobacco, I was able to quit THAT - due to vaping!! What a wonder! ;) I don't feel very dependent on nicotine - went easily down from the original 24 mg. I started with and now mostly vape 6 and 0. I enjoy the flavors and probably the hand-to-mouth thing is kind of important....I'd guess I'll quit eventually but I've already accomplished what I needed to, and that was to quit smoking!

I plan to, if it happens or not is another matter. I've cut down from 24 to just 6 in a little over 1 year.Decided to do it slowly this time so I dont fall off the wagon and its worked really well.

My next several juice orders are all going to be 0mg nicotine (im keeping 100ml of 6mg just in case). I'll let you know how it works out.

My number one goal was to stop smoking analogs.

Mission accomplished.

My number two goal is to lower my nicotine levels to 0, eventually.

Working on that, and enjoying the ride (along with improved health issues that came with quitting analogs.)

I'm pretty sure that my body will know when I should quit vaping, but I'm not stressing over that. But, if I woke up tomorrow and saw that the only e-cig products were the ones offered by Big Tobacco companies, and that all my favorite vendors had been pushed out of the industry, I would probably vape up my stash, and quit.

My other goal was to never give Big Tobacco another dime of my money. So far, so good.

I started at 24mg then went down to 16mg and did fine. I then went down to 12mg and did fine except when I was at work and found myself wanting to go to the bathroom every hour to stealth vape. So at work I still have one juice at 16mg and at home I do the 12mg because I don't want to be fired for being in the bathroom every hour. I do want to get to 6mg if possible and hope to get to 0mg some day, but I am going to take it very slow from here on out.

you cant argue with that. its just funny how i and a lot of other former smokers are suddenly worried about what goes into our lungs.
well we can say for sure analog cigs are bad. Not sure bout ecigs but i doubt living in a large city that im gonna live shorter just because of e-cigs.
