Anybody use electrically conductive grease in their mods? How well has it worked for you?

Like the title says, anybody use conductive grease? How well does it work?

I've read quite a few gripes about switches not working well or things getting gummed up and not making contact, I'd think using the silver or graphite grease thats made to conduct electricity would help out a lot - prevent corrosion, better switch connection, etc.

I was also thinking that a little bit of conductive grease on the top and bottom of a battery spring would help connectivity w/ the battery.

Springs are notorious for high resistance contacts to batteries since there is such a small contact area between the battery and the spring, a little bit of corrosion and the circuit doesnt work right and in fact can be dangerous by causing resistive heating.

My personal favorite is the Chemtronics silver grease, but that might be a little spendy for just a PV.

I have a Prodigy V3. The battery tube is threaded on both ends, one for the switch and one for the adapter. I use a product called Noalox on these threads. It is an anti-oxidant/anti-seizing compound specifically designed for electrical connections. It is conductive in that it contains thousands of minute zinc particles. I also use a very light coating on the contact screw. The switch and adapter screw on smooth as butter and good conductivity is assured. You can get this in small tubes or bottles at Lowe's or Home Depot or you can get it online. Just remember to use it sparingly. A little goes a long way. It is fantastic stuff and works wonderfully.

X2 on the Noalox,,,it's good stuff....I use a bit of automotive di-electric grease on the ground spring in my Black Bullet.. The spring is copper and the body is aluminum,,,,there was a bit of galvanic corrosion. So far the di-electric has kept it at bay...The Noalox keeps all my threads operating smoothly.....Pass the JUICE!!!

In the modders forum someone did a review of the wire glue here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...136477-wre-glue-review-no-more-soldering.html Didn't seem like the reviewer was too impressed.

You may be looking for conductive epoxy like this: Amazon.com: Conductive Silver Epoxy Kit: Home Improvement: Reviews, Prices & more or this: CircuitWorks CW2460 | ESD-Safe/Conductive Adhesives

True conductive epoxy has silver, gold, or platinum in it and is pretty expensive as you can see.

I don't think Noalox actually forms a bond of any type. Seems to be more of a lubricant than a solder-less solution.
