Any tips on 'loosening' the threads of the top cap? I need to use some sort of lever every time I need to fill my Kabuki...tried chasing the threads like suggested earlier in this thread and I've tried several different coils, but no joy...

You lubed it up REAL well, SS?

Don't take that the wrong way.

I meant that along the lines that the glass od could be smaller, resulting in a thinner walled tank. I haven't tried any tanks other than the original (which I promptly broke, because I'm good like that) and spectrum. However, this is not the first time I've heard that IBT has "thinner" glass.

Thinner walled glass would be even worse. The IBTanked glass can't be thinner, if the ID and OD of the tank are identical. Wall plus ID= OD. OD -wall =ID...

Im not a fan of IBTanks tbh.

The reason they can offer their tanks for so cheap, as opposed to Phiniac for example, is because they use much thinner glass.

Someone mentioned in another thread that IBTanked is offering a larger capacity glass for the Kabuki as well.....and Zen said they shouldnt be doing that.

It turns out that they are not offering taller glass for the Kabuki, somebody found glass for my old larger atomizers and purchased it by mistake.

Polycarbonate or Acrylic 19 id 22 od would also work for stopping breakage. I'm trying to find a supplier myself - haha.

Try 3/4" ID and 7/8" OD... 1" tall... .750" x .875"

Awhile back in this thread.....I took a Kabuki base and Zcarto top+glass section with upgrade chimney and it worked......BUT......... You gained a few ml of juice and the flavor went down hill. Adjusting the airflow didnt matter it still wasnt getting the same flavor as the Kabuki... I would rather keep the flavor factor over a little more tank capacity.

The size of the tank is CRITICAL for the performance. When other tank designers figure this out, I'm in trouble! (I tell them, by the way, they don't listen to me, they listen to the market demands for bigger=better)

If someone wants to buy it and cut it to the correct length, I would be a buyer for two of them (but only if they are the Zen approved size).

If it works out I'll report back.

I still want to try it, thanks. I still like the stock Nauti, so it may be an upgrade for me.

So shopping's back on?

I'm confused, skot. Loosening the threads on the top cap?

If the bottom cap is tight (which I'm guessing it is), I'd use the ZenWrench, but not in the air flow hole.... eventually, with a bit of vliquid lube on the O rings, it WILL loosen up.

Time .... patience...... tenderness. ;)

@Katdarling , are the Bedazzled tanks the right size?
I think they are perfect! [emoji173] (Sorry, not the greatest picture)

After all you guys said, I am thinking I won't chance an IBT tube. And the Bedazzle tubes are iffy at best, too. I'm pretty sure Zen knows exactly what works specifically with his tank, and I'm more than willing to go with that expertise.

Having said that, Phiniac makes some beautiful designer tubes that ARE HoH tubes. (Ooooooooooo, I hope that's accurate info, Zen.)

Yours are lovely, Tyleris, but as I said, "iffy", at best. I do like mine...... very much, but size wise, ummmm....... no. They are off.

Sounds like somebody needs a nauti buddy. I had the same issue. Whenever I had to fill, I had to use the allen key to wrench the tank apart, and then would have to wrench it back together. Mike fabbed up a 'nauti buddy' for me to chase the coils with, and it made it so much easier. I believe he may begin producing them at some point. Of the few five packs I got, I'd have 4 out of 5 coils not thread properly.

Last I heard, she had tried some different glass, that ended up being larger (loose on our Kabukis), so she went back to the other that she always used for Zen's mini tanks. The one I received since the switch back works fine. I just bought o-rings from Zen's site & they ended up working perfect for the looser tubes. Did you get some for yours too?

ETA: The blue one in the middle has the different o-rings & looser tube.
