Thanks for the reply! I've got the Sophia dialed in pretty good but after dropping it a few times its hard to keep it working without screwing with it. I set it aside and started using the huge stash of cartos I had and that has been what I've used for the last year. I'm currently on my last carto so something is getting ordered tonight. If boost isn't something most are using I may just get the classic.

BOOST is my fave P3 feature,I couldnt do without now that ive tried it and feel it really makes a Big dif... ;)

....of course, this is all subjective and about individual taste once again !

Yes quite a few are Kabooki crazy. I for one like it; not head over heels in love with it. I don't find it to be the end all be all topper that others rave about.

Honestly I feel a lot of the hype comes from the fact it's a Zen product & folks wanna be gaga over it cause ProVape & Zen equal a pretty good vape.

But watch how fast folks would leave the Kabuki in the dust when the next best thing hits the market.....(not Rod thou!.... He's #KabukiForLife! [emoji106] [emoji6]

Note 5!!!

Hmmmmm....Ill admit I have become a total Kabuki-fan ;) !!!

But... I didnt even know who ZEN was when I bought- and fell in love with- my first Kabuki !!!!

....and, to be honest, I really dont care WHO makes/made it ;) !!

The kabuki was just such a clear, instant upgrade compared to what I had been using for the past year or so -the Mini-Nautilus with 1.6 ohm coils.
I immediately noticed what I would describe as a +30% improvement in taste as soon as I tried it....

I have tried the Subtank Nano, the Atlantis, the OCC Aromamizer...but never could get into them...

If i LUV the Kabuki so much I also think it may be because Im pretty much the "type of vaper" the kabuki was designed for =
I vape at around 9.6W MTL, dont build or rebuild ( Im not at all "handy" and dont want to learn or have to tinker around ).
I privilege the "convenience" of store bought pre-made coils.I change them pretty often as flavor is very important to me, cost $$ is secondary especially if the product is high quality and brings a decisive "+" to my vaping experience.

I also very much enjoy premium quality ejuices and therefore it's important to me to have a tank that will allow me to appreciate all their subtleties.

This is why I have spent the last month (since I discovered the kabuki-on this very thread! ;) !) replacing all 5 of my permanent setups (I rotate) with Kabukis, both 510's and P3's, and why I totally LUV them so much !

....NOT because it was made by Zen - who's "ZEN" btw ????

(JK ;) !!!!)

I don't think the urge ever goes away, I could still knock someone out for their cigarette. lol
I just smashed someone in his face to get his cig. Would you kind folks be willing to help me with the bail money? LOL, just kidding. I saved my last 1/2 pack of American Spirits. Don't know quite why, but it's 2 years old and sitting in my kitchen. Haven't moved a finger to it. My son smokes, though I have tried him on vaping without much luck. I keep trying to remember to ask him for a drag, so I can refresh my memory of how it feels and tastes, but I forget whenever he visits, partly, I think, cause it stinks so bad. I do understand the continuing attraction, but it does steadily weaken over time.

I carried a half pack of cigarettes around for a year before I decided I didn't have to. I also carried a unused disposable too. I just threw away the two packs left in the carton I had in my drawer yesterday. I totally forgot about it. They are 2 1/2 years old now. I'm sure they were pretty crunchy.

About the smoke smell, I had a water leak and it dripped water between the walls. A couple of walls had to be opened up so they would dry out. They wetness on the dry wall made the smoke smell come out. It's amazing how I can smell things like this now. When I was smoking I never did.

LOL, Me too !!!! :) :)

I still have my last pack of Marlb reds from almost 5 years ago !!!!!!!

I went for it a couple of times in the first two years ,only when I was at my wit's ends with equipment issues..batteries dying, my vape equipment letting me down and being incapable of fixing it :( ...

But the worst thing was that when I would light up and take a puff id be like....EWWWW...this tastes disgusting !

....and id stub it out right away !!! :)

Sometimes id even try a SECOND one....and stub that out right away too..just couldnt do it, tasted too awful!!!

Havent done that for the past few years though thanks to better equipment, being more cautious (have several setups "just in case."..) and being more knowledgeable about how to fix & maintain stuff.

But that old pack of cigs is STILL there ;) !!!

And yes..... Ive become really sensitive to all kinds of smells now too !

Sometimes, Ill be walking down the street and smell this God- awful burning smell ..Ill think ...there's a fire somewhere...and Ill start looking around...like it smells really horrible, like it's a very nasty fire.... kinda like the nasty electric-burning smell you get when you put the "wrong" stuff in a microwave....????
....and then Ill see some people pass me by smoking cigs ..and Im like ... WOW...is that really how bad it smelled????? ;)

Zen, Busy is a good thing. Any possibility of increasing the diameter of the Kabuki P3 base. If it was the same size as the Provari it would be a perfect fit. The slight step between the atty and the Provi is barely noticeable but I do like the feel, in the hand, of the Kayfun 4 base. I know it would be a pain and wouldn't change the performance, but it would match diameters little better. And it would look and feel oh so nice. I put a Kabuki 510 on my first 2.5 with a Svoemesto trim ring and the transition between the two looks great. I'd buy another Kabuki just for that.

At some point, the thing has to transition down to the glass diameter. So making it wider at the base then having the glass look undersized just looks... well... for lack of a better term... crappy. So, it's not going to happen.

Let's take a little trip back in vaping history, while I remind everybody what vaping formerly looked like... People complain about gaps today, as slight as a sheet of paper in thickness.

Meanwhile, once upon a time...

Anyone ever tried to vape anything thicker than 50/50 with a Kabuki?

I usually vape 70pg/30vg, but I've been vaping the 90%vg juice I won in a contest. I've vaped about 20ml with the same coil and it's doing fine. The juice is completely clear, although I don't know if that's making a big difference.

It's just a picture I found online that demonstrated my point, but I believe those are by Mistinthewoods, and if that's Mark, then yes!
My son still has one (Mist) that I got for him shortly after he began vaping (4ish years now). It doesn't get much use these days but he does pull it out every so often, just because...

Nice stuff, and crafted well.

I use Boba's Bounty as my ADV, which is 100% (???) VG, and to be honest the Kabuki does not preform well with Boba's. I was concerned about that before I purchased the Kabuki, but I ordered it anyway. In hindsight I believe that was a mistake. My bad!!! My kayfuns handle Boba's great.

Bobas has been my ADV for 3 yrs and I love it thru my 3 Kabukis much better than the Silo and Nauty tanks.

I change the coil out weekly ,no biggy for me 10-12w on Radius or P3 Stealth ME,I THINK Zen has absolutely nailed this design.

Waiting on someone to design a .5 -1.ohm coil of good quality Hint Hint Zen.

Don't know why I want to try a .5 to 1.0 ohm coil just curious I suspose

Yes, Mistinthewoods is Mark Davis.

Great picture! Up until now I had only seen the one he made ProVape for the UK Vape Fest (or whatever the event was called).

Thanks. We started about the same time, but he opted for Buzz while I went Provari. I counseled him otherwise, but I think it was somewhat rebellious (at the time). He was... I guess 22 years old then, and still finding his way. The Mist was kind of a peace-offering, letting him know that I truly didn't care what he vaped.

He's got a Provi now. :D

While I don't necessarily agree with the resistance, I agree with you that coil design could use a swift kick in advancing the art.

With the Kabuki, I think Mike has nailed the tank thing at least for the time being. I have strong impression that with the way the rest of vaping technology has advanced, there are real gains that could be found in a 2016 coil design with the same attention to detail as the Kabuki tank. Of course, the making of coils looks like it requires very specialized, purpose built equipment that would be staggeringly expensive. I still think the right ceramic formulation could be impressive. I've never been all that impressed with the cotton thing, especially with the emphasis on Japanese organic. The USA grows some of the best cotton in the world.

But then again, as I think about technology I have to admit the shock I got when I first vaped a ZNA that I was lucky enough to snag during the Black Friday Fracas. Not only did it change my mind about all the temp control stuff I have, but when I tried the "ancient" Zen carto tank (also from the same sale) I got a bigger surprise. It works amazingly well though I'm still wandering around trying to find a carto as good as the one that came with it.

It's a great time to be vaping, no? Even with all the 1000 cfm airflow tanks and sub-sub-sub coils the manufacturers are trying to push on us.
