Just to be clear, my correspondence with Electronicstix was not adversarial. They simply would not help me with my issue. And yes, I found it very frustrating along with the apparent design issues with the 510 Kabuki, BVC holes not uncovered by the chimney, crap threading, fragile glass, absolutely terrible 510 insulator, etc... thus my posts.

I am talking about the 510 version, not the P3 or Z2.

I suppose I am the only person with these issues... NOT!

If anyone for a minute thinks that, shame on you for not being honest, this was not a win for Mike...

BTW, Is there a fix for these issues or is this just a fanboy thread with no real help for us buyers of a $100 tank that we wanted for an all-day-vape? I've noticed that no one has posted with 510 experience, only P3.
Hi :) You'd like to hear from someone with 510's?

I have 5 Kabukis 510's and 1 Kabuki P3/510. I had an issue with one of my 510's, where the threading in the tube was a little off & getting coils to fit was a pain.....but as soon as I told Zen my problem, he switched my 510 with the new P3/510 one I have now. All my other 510 Kabukis are just fine.

So reaching out to Zen is the way to go, he will take care of you!

Thanks! Sounds like my issue is who to contact... I've bought almost everything Mike has sold over the years, good or bad and thousands of dollars (ouch). But how to contact Zen for help remains an issue I have not yet resolved. So the P3/510 is the answer? Thank you for a post that helps!!!

I got lucky and spent some time with Mike at VapeBash, so that's how I contacted him. ;) But I know he is also reachable by the number someone pointed out to you already. He does tend to pop in here occasionally, so maybe he will see your issue sooner, but either way, he will get you all squared away.

ETA: I'm not sure the P3/510 is the answer, I just know he will figure out what needs to be done for you & do whatever he needs to, to make you happy with your Kabukis. :)

Actually that's pretty easy, it's on all his web sites...

Way cool, thanks for an actual email address... I still struggle with all this technology, trying to find the correct web site, email and such ... Old man nuclear engineer here (Clemson ChE '84) that just wants stuff to work right the first time... and doesn't have $$$ to throw away on a flawed design... I guess the stakes are low in the vaping world with all this obvious un-tested crap showing up... RBMK comes to mind... Be glad someone's standards were higher than the vape world, I deal with it every single day...:)

Hey Mack, if you find yourself with nothing better to do while waiting for a tank that works, go back to the beginning of this thread and read through it. You will find I made quite a few rant posts and worse than yours (although I went off on Zen and ProVape, no one in here, except maybe Astro from time to time). I was pretty upset my $100 tank didn't work either. I tend to go off and I did. Still do as a matter of fact. I get pretty frustrated when this expensive equipment doesn't work as expected. But guess what? Between Jackie and I, we now have nine Kabuki's.

Hope it works out for you, bet it does...

I am not trying to be a jerk when I say you did not call it like it is. You're frustration quite honestly was with Estix & Estix only. Your rant reads as though @Zen~ put out a crappy product & made a :censored:load of money off it.

Believe me, I fully understand the need to rant but now that you've gotten it off your chest, I sincerely hope you contact Zen.
And who knows, once everything is working as it should we'll be looking at you as a fanboy! :sneaky:
And, if I recall, you're not a fanboi of the kabuki yourself. It is my second favorite tank, personally. But, I agree, hoh will take care of him! That service is unforgettable, once you receive it!!:toast:

Love this! And many of your posts, even if we are not always on the same high road!

Thanks! I do seem to be damn insistent that I get tanks that work at this price point. Maybe I should just keep with the Nautilus mini at this point, getting tired of fighting on the crap Kabuki's i bought... :)

I'm sorry you're having problems, but let's get this issue resolved.

We used to have a solid relationship with ENS until the former owner sold the business. In fact, their customer service system online contacted directly to HoH when there was an issue, and my customer service team handled those issues.

Things have changed... I've never spoken with the new owner of ENS, I don't even know his name, and we're no longer in the service loop at all. In either case, contacting HoH through the number on the House of Hybrids website should get you sorted out.

Kinda backasswards to blame HOH for lousy service from electrostix!

The first problem with the threading is the coils themselves. I have had to take quite a few to my shop and polish the threads. Then they work flawlessly. This is the problem 99.9% of the time. And No, the Kabuki's are not Crap. Far from it.

The second problem, is that you're screwing the coils into the chimney and then the base onto the coil base. WRONG. This can prevent a positive connection, and cover the holes even more. It can also cause the base to be started crooked, which can crack the tank glass, Hello!!! And if done often enough, crack the Delrin ring the contact set screw is threaded into. This is exactly WHY there are detailed instruction on HOH's site as to how to set the Kabuki up. Electrostix should have directed you to the HOH site for instructions, or had it on their site. I know that at one time, the vid was there. Did you ignore it? And if so, whose fault is that? I'm sure you didn't learn that when studying to become an Engineer. Just cram thing together and hope for a good outcome. Very encouraging in the Nuclear business!

The third problem is the holes being covered. Well, they are not. It may appear so looking from the side, but there is plenty of room between the inner dia. of the chimney base, and the OD dia of the coil for liquid to enter, at the same pressure no matter the level of the tank until empty. It's part of the design, and a good one!

But Four and Five, is blaming HOH for a failure on Electrostix part, and your lack of knowing the difference, and finally, coming here, complaining, and calling us fanboys for your total lack of understand of both how the tank works, and failures to contact HOH, who gave you a lifetime warranty on the Kabuk in the first place! Grrrrrrr!!!

Sometimes it pays to think about what you are doing, rather than going off halfcocked and blaming every one you can for your complicity in a problem. When you encounter a problem, one should first look to oneself before looking to others. This encompassed both common sense, as well as common decency.
A man with neither is just another pita.
