So the burning question is if Zen had anything to say about the upcoming ZNA Pro. Since the FDA's train wreck the clock appears to be ticking on introducing new things.

I am waiting to hear from him too. I have high hopes indeed!

Yes, It is still coming. There was a hold up, a part from a vendor, but all is coming along just fine!

No doubt, the usual four will get their panites in a wad for me replying at all.:(

Any word at all on a ZNA Pro release? I haven't been following closely...

We all are waiting.... I was hoping to hear more about it with the Canadian vape Show... But it still a mystery:)

Yup, and dumb Canadians like me that forgot to even ask about ZNA Pros when talking to Mike yesterday at the show doesn't help.:nah:

Just an update on the VVTF RBA. I got around to putting a build in mine this morning. I've been suffering from a pretty bad sinus infection this week so I haven't even wanted to look at it! LOL! I built a 1.2 ohm coil (6 wrap 28g on a 2.5mm screwdriver).
(Sorry I didn't take any pics but I couldn't get it to focus properly)

I decided I would make it a horizontal coil build. I tried to put it in like the video demonstrated, but after MANY failed attempts to get it seated I decided to go another route. If anyone's ever built a Nuppin the coil is about the same. The leads are bent at a right angle to each other. Like this (not my pic, I got it from Google).

I found it easier to cut the lead that's going in the top hole pretty short, then insert the lead that goes in the bottom hole FIRST. if the top lead is still to long to slide into the top hole, take it out and snip a smidgen off and try again. After I got the lead length down it all went together and tightened up nicely. I wish that the screws weren't flat head though. They're so tiny that they are a pain to tighten down. It wicked nicely! I cut off just enough wick to fill the side wick slots. Granted I haven't put it to use yet because I'm waiting for the coil that's in my Kabuki now to give up the ghost before I change it but when I get home I'll try to snap a couple of pics of it and update this post!

So far so good!

Soooo... Another bit of an update! It would behoove anyone using this to: instead of screwing the RBA in the base first, screw it into the chimney first. Due to the offset threading on the RBA it's a royal PITA to get it put together filled with juice only to have it screw together crooked and the glass slips, leaking juice all over your hands! (ask me how I know!)

I fought with it a little to get it screwed into the chimney at first. That offset threading is a major flaw in my opinion!

After I got it in, I then put the glass on, filled it up, and then screwed the base on! It vapes like a champ too! I think my 1.2 ohm coil is a little to hot for it though. Next time I'll put a higher ohm cool in it like the Aspire coils (1.9 ohm).

All in all its a bit of a pain, but worth it only if coils dry up in the next year or so.

Hope I helped anyone thinking of grabbing one of these up!

What makes you feel that a 1.2 ohm coil is too hot/almost too hot?

Just ordered two, and 1.0-1.2 is my go-to set up...

Thanks for posting this. Much appreciated!

As I posted before, I really don't want to go spend a thousand bucks on a 10 year supply of Nautilus coils if I can avoid it and this RBA is just what the doctor ordered! I have 20 boxes and might buy another batch, but I will be using rebuildibles for the long term if the FDA screws up Nautilus coil availability (and Canada's blind following of these regulations, of course... Which is almost a given). I love my Kabukis, but will be perfectly happy with my Crowns, Kangers, Steamcrave, Goblin, about a dozen drippers and of course my new KFL+ tanks.

I expected the build would be tough in the rebuildable as you mentioned, but if the 2 I ordered work well enough once installed, buying 10 for $65 IMO is a no brainer.

In any case, based on how many smart people are involved in vaping, I would be suprised if more Nauti RBAs don't hit the market as (if) supply dwindles.

I appreciate the tips! If things actually do go south in the coil market I figure there will be many of us fine-tuning the process and then sharing our experiences here. This place would probably become the Mecca of Kabuki deck building [emoji106]

My go-to coil in my Reos and Kayfuns are a 1.2 ohm coil. For some reason on this it's really warm. I'm a new Radius user and am used to mods that are in volts so I wasn't quite sure what to set my watts to on it. I ran it at the 14 watts I had my 1.9 ohm Nauty coil running and then down to 12 watts. I'll fiddle with it more later. Needless to say I'm not a fan of a warmer vape.

If the one I ordered for testing ever arrives, I will probably chase and polish the threads. This had to be done on the clone Kabuki I tried out. They were visually fine, but were just rough enough to cause similar issues.

Coils that would not work in the clone without modification, would work in the Gun. Kabuki just fine.

I finally got the glass tank off my GMZ Kabuki in one piece. Ok, 2 pieces if you count a little chip but the tank is reusable.

I found slowly working it up off the top of the Kabuki and using fingernails to slowly pry it up worked. Those white o-rings make it a beatch! A GMZ SS tank is going on it tonight. :)
