I have a comment, but not a suggestion (sorrowfully). It appears that some of us upper-end gear lovers are caught in the throws of a transition. Zen, you would very much like the vape world to go Z2. Provape seems to want to take us to P3 only. The majority of us are 510.

What does that mean? Where do we go with that, and how do we, as end users, make these differing 'worlds' combine? I think you are caught in the middle of this, JUMA, and tho I would love to offer up some sort of suggestion, sadly, I have none.

Kat, I understand. The format wars have cost me a fortune. I cannot tell how much The Beatles have cost me over the years. My first record purchase ever was the original mono version of Meet The Beatles. I was eight or so. Little did I know I'd have a least a dozen versions over the years, including the one that came on the thumb drive inside a little green apple. I began a quest in about 1988 to replace all of my LP's with CD's. It only took me 25 years and tens of thousands of dollars. And then my wife starts buying 'em off iTunes.

Anyway, I don't know much about Z2 connector, but I think Zen's idea of using the well in top of the P3 connector rather than the normal well in the tank was a brilliant idea. Makes the tank smaller and so far I've had no flooding with the Kabukis. Seems like the pin on the P3 should float, but then the well wouldn't be waterproof, i guess.

Agreed Kat...

I think that until the world catches on, if ever, that the Z2 & P3 are just novelties.

Jim

And perhaps, at the end of the day (especially one with this date), we have bigger fish to fry.

The P3 pin does float, is it as springy as a Fat Daddy 510? No. Is it stronger? Yes.

I would like to comment on all this and THANK ENAUD ON HIS PREVIOUS POSTS ON HOW TO FIX IT!

Not one, NOT ONE, of my old style BVC Nautilus coils make a connection using any of my P3 Kabuki's. I have to do what Enaud previously suggested.

Slightly pull contact pin and wrap thread around it so it doesn't slip back up inside of grommet.

That really :censored:ing sucks as I have seven 5 packs (35 coils) of old style BVC coils and one of the reasons I have bought 3 Kabuki's is because we were told in this forum both old style and new style coils would work. NOT SO!

I have been told Zen will make it right if I call but given I have 3 Kabuki's, what a PITA!

Don't get me wrong, I still love my Kabuki's but am slightly disappointed by these recent developments. It is what is and I will deal it by buying every spool of thread at Family Dollar.

At least there is a way to deal with making my $90 (well, 2 are stealth so they are $100) tanks work with my $200 P3...

Get this, I still want to buy one more Kabuki but now will wait until problem is taken care of or I go through all coils first which will take quite a bit of time...

Thanks again, ENAUD!

Are all of your Kabuki Tanks screwing down flush with your P3s? No air gap?

Thanks, Jim

No, they all have the "paper gap" but I didn't care as I thought given all the other posts regarding said gap that it was just, "nature of the beast." Not so?

EDIT: Now that you mention it, eliminating paper gap would take care of the connection problem. That's how slight it is.

Relax, have a vape, and on Mon. Contact HOH. Get your bases re-cut by HOH and all of your troubles will slip away like a pleasant dream. It is well worth the effort to make your experience a pleasure rather than a pain. Trust me, it is well worth it in the end, and I have nothing but praise for the service received from HOH.

And that right there is where the future success of vaping replacing smoking lies, things need to work effortlessly together right out of the box, first time... Every time.

Enaud, I thought the Joyetech eGo One Mega was the solution to new vapers, and I was using a couple as my out-and-about mods. But it has two problems, IMHO, it gets too hot real fast. Needs a simple way to adjust the power. And in Texas heat the tanks will leak all over your hand as soon as you walk outside from a cold building into the heat. The only tank that hasn't leaked in that circumstance is the Kabuki, which is why I bought the first two. And I bought the Kabuki Stealth to get away from the black Kanger Mini, which also leaks.

Oh trust me, I'm having a vape... I ordered the closeout drip tips from HOH and am using the cone that Mr. Steve showed me.

I have 4 flat top Provi.

One has the air gap, the other 3 do not.

Upon closer inspection and comparing the 4. The offenders top cap threads are not cut as deeply length wise in the top cap.

ProVapes error, not Kabuki's, nor Aspires.

Well, crap! That is good info but not what I need to hear (or read). I just put Kabuki on Jackie's P3 with same, "paper gap."

Well, I just tried the thread solution and it worked. But this is not a long-term solution to the problem. Spending 30 minutes trying to wrap thread around a tiny coil is just not fun, nor should it be necessary at this price point. I hoping Zen can re-cut the bases.

I don't know what your an by air gap, my Kabuki has always screwed down flush to the P3 connection with no gap
It's such a slight gap that one does not notice it unless held up to a light. It was coined, "paper gap" because a piece of thin paper will slide between it.
