Well, nearly everybody that commented on the Cisco Spec coil mentioned they don't wick well above 50% VG, so it should come as no surprise that 69% would be WELL out of range.
And I do hope nobody takes your recommendation to not try the Cisco Spec coil, because it is a WONDERFUL coil, even if the wraping of the wires isn't pretty. I can understand if it's not for you, but to impugn the craftsmanship based on your observations is a little unfair. You didn't follow the instructions to dilute, and my guess is you didn't do a slow ramp up in power as was suggested by others. I could be wrong, it seemed like you were teeing up to hate it.
That being said, I have one that I've been using since October of last year, it still vapes great... I have two that have been in since May, they vape great. But you have to use them like old school atomizers, not modern coils. They ARE a different beast. Inside the HH coil is pretty much the same thing as the HH357... so I'd suggest you avoid those as well.
SO... what's the Ω of the one you're using, and how many watts are you at? Call me curious... By the way, the regular nautilus coil is "shelled" as well. You just cant see it unless you tear it apart.
You don't know what you're talking about. I'm sitting here with it. This defective coil that you haven't seen.
There was a typo in the vg percentage was meant to be 60 and I hit 9 by mistake. There's no reason 60% vg wouldn't work. The old aspire coils could wick it. Nothing about silica fundamentally can't wick it. And the percentage difference from 50-60 is curtail my nothing. I also don't out coils in dry ever. So the silica was saturated. There's also no reason not to saturate silica unless it worry about flooding. I don't.
The coil I have is poorly build. My opinions are based On a ton of experience with products and vaping. I have the product here.
If you want to opine on your Cisco spec coils have at it. Don't question my knowledge anymore. Jair make your points on your merits.
Unless you want to say the kabuki is the issue ?
The first mount of the coil. Shorted. Two other devices. Shorted. The bottom was falling out. Placed hard in shorted. Realized the whole
Coil spun. After spinning and fiddling got it to register 1.17 which is much closer to 1.2 this the advertised 1 ohm. It fired twice at 3.4 volts. Below what a mostly drained battery puts out. Then showed shorted.
I typically avoid putting up Videos on YouTube showing poor results but in his case I may. Though j will make it viewable with link only so as not to cause harm to the vendor. It's a coil that costs $14 shipped and is based on the sample I received absolutely not worth it. If you have some that are. Good for you. Now people have two opinions on which they can form a decision. You built some vaping gear. Great. That doesn't mean everybody else doesn't know anything. My first vape was probably 9 years ago now. For what it's worth. Though my steady quit started two.
While we're asking questions j have a few for you I typically wouldn't ask these because is consider it rude or questioning our ethics be since you seem to hold nothing back
Do you know the people rebuilding these? Are they friends of yours?
Do you have financial interest in the company?
Do you sell them on your storefront.
What's your interest in their success ?
Would you tell us if any of the above but the site carrying them was true?
See asking stuff like that to draw you into question in fact defeats me with a fallacy. So I don't don't. My opinions are based on what I have right in front of me. It's great you have a couple
Good ones. Maybe they know who is are and qc is tighter for you. Want to order me one? Maybe I can get the good kind like you get.
This coil is something you know bsolutely nothing about (this specific coil). It's at my house.
I'll tear down a nautilus coil tomorrow. It's just about the only hit I haven't done in vaping besides manufacture a tank. Name anything else and ive done in up to and including building mods.
If discussing things about the nautilus coil or the kabuki tank means I have to keep
Putting up with this. I'll be out of the conversation and move on from the gear. It's not worth the bull.... attitude I'm getting. I'm just trying to help other people
Avoid wasting money or opine when something is worth it. If is been vaping two weeks I'd be qualified to do that. The fact I've owned a lot of gear and been filled with free time in which I've crammed a ton of hobbyist vaping just means it's more informed. For all we know I've tried three times as many products as you at his point. Maybe you just vape what you build ?
Oh and two more facts just to get then straight for those who may in fact he new and read misinformation.
Some Juice tastes better at higher watts / volts. Different flavors come out at different temps. So long as the coil can keep up with it you're probably not burning your juice before your coil. Here's no problem with most juices applying higher temps. Coils will be an issue long before that. Everyone should try different settings so long as you aren't crying coils. You may be shocked how much better it tastes higher or lower.
Coils that are very sloppily made and uneven heat at different levels throughout. This creates an issue of wicking isn't Rick solid and for dry burning. Building silica coils one usually uses a small needle or similar to form a spine allowing for more even wraps. And also if you touch the side of the casing with a coil. It's going to be a short.
