Ok, I just checked my puff counter (had to pull up the manual to figure out how to find it). I am at 1490 puffs on my first coil. Flavor is still pretty good.. I am about 10 days into using this coil, but the Radius is not my only device. Now I will need to see how to reset the puff counter when I change the coil!

I just checked and his last post was regarding the Chinese company stealing from him. OK, in PC terms, regarding the counterfeited Kabukis.

I didn't even design the thing and I'm irate about the whole deal, so I wouldn't blame him if he decided to take a break from it all. I know it seems to be part of the deal due to Asian business standards and morals being so foreign to what we have developed here.

I don't want to start that endless argument about clones and will not reply. All I can say is that I honestly cannot understand why intellectual property isn't regarded more highly and protected with vigor by those who are supposed to govern us.

Lets hope he is busy tinkering with an adapter to use the P3 tanks with a 510 thread mod.. he mentioned it should be ready before the end of the year.

Hey :)

Can anyone give me a link to an instruction manual of sorts for the Kabuki ?????

Is there one ?"

As you know by now, there is no official instruction manual. When someone was going to put together a blog on the Kabuki I came up with these tips from the thread to get him/her started as users and Zen have come up with some additional bits and pieces that could be useful.

I don't know what to tell you about searching. ECF search engine and I aren't the best of pals. However, here is what I recall:

#1. Watch the video on post #1. (There is another one--perhaps at Provape--that people like too)
#2. Lube your Orings, the first time you open and after you wash out.
#3. If you have a Stealth, only wash out with luke warm or cool water. (The coating doesn't like hot water.)
#4. Make sure the coil is fully inserted -- and sometimes check that when re-filling.
#5. A rubber band, paper towel, or rubbery jar gripper pad is useful when opening the Kabuki to refill...if it's a bit tight for naked fingers, but not enough to need the hex trick in #1.
#6. Be aware that not all Nauti coils are the exact same, especially in length. Usually, it's just that they need to be fully inserted, but it seems that some of the older ones are shorter -- or it could be just various batches.
#7. Should you have an issue where the Kabuki needs service, contact HOH (or Zen) by calling or via their "contact me" on their site. Kabuki is USA made in New York State and all Kabuki's needing to "go home" will end up there, so a direct route, is the best one.
#8. It is suggested to not totally remove the air flow hex for some reason---could be due to vacuum needed(?) tho some have done so with no issue.

There are also several posts about a fix for when the pin doesn't reach the mod and using dental floss or something similar. (mostly needed with P3 version)

There are a couple of ideas about the little screw in the 510 connection and adjusting it to the coil and this and that about the connector, like it starting to come out a bit when removing the Kabuki for refilling.

This should be pretty complete, but I'm sure I missed a couple details. IMHO the Kabuki is a simple well made beauty and this list is actually very small compared to some models I've owned.

Hope this gets you off to a good start on your project. I'm sure many will appreciate your work.[/QUOTE

It's a great performing tank that uses Nauti coils -- really not much more to tell anyone. It arrives with a coil -- insert liquid, either prime the coil or let it sit for a bit so the coil gets saturated, and vape.

I haven't reset my puff counter - still don't know how but I've got 9990 puffs and I'm on my third coil. That would be 3330 puffs per coil average for me. I've been using the same juice in it since I got it.

newyork, like most coiled tanks, I do believe they "break in" and just keep getting better!

The Kabukis are a huge Ohh La-La of a tank.

I have found a very minor maintenance task that needs doing periodically.

Juice residue will build up on the bottom side of the drip tip ledge inside the chimney.

I used a twisted-up wet paper towel to clean it out.

I use a Q-tip.

Anybody know how I can get a p3 base for my kabuki without buying everything else? I don't see them listed anywhere at hoh or pro vape and I like several others am having 510 connection/insulator/post issues and would like to get just the P3 kabuki base if possible. Thanks
Zen does not sell just the base. When I asked him about this, he explained to me that, because the base has the most machining steps involved in it's production, the cost of a base sold separately would be too high, it would be a major portion of the current price, and people would not understand why.

Hello everyone, Just got through 229 pages, glad that's over! I'm about to pull the trigger on a p3 provari and a p3 Kabuki from provape. I'm currently using a provari mini with Ibtank and smok cartos, but they are getting hard to find. I also use a Sophia, and love how it performs, but have grown tired of rebuilding it. Is there anyone using a Sophia that can comment on the differences in flavor between the Sophia and Kabuki? Is there one you prefer? One last question, I really like the looks of the classic provari but it doesn't have boost and wonder how that will work with the Kabuki and if I should just get the p3? Thanks in advance!

Can't speak to the P3, but my Kabuki works just fine on my 2.5 at 4.2V. When I had a Radius, I ran it at 11W...one reason I sold the Radius, way too much power that I wasn't using for how I vape.
