You seem confused by my post. I have re-read it and not sure I can make it more clear...I, for one, couldn't care less what other people spend their own money on. I wont have that problem. I have 510 Kabukis. My post was about Zen not making 510 Kabukis but instead making P3 Kabukis with a 510 adapter (which remains to be seen). Given the price of replacement glass from HoH I can only speculate the cost of the adapter.

Annnd - those who already own a P3 Kabuki would, in fact, own a Provari. Why on earth would someone buy a P3 Kabuki without owning a P3 top cap Provari? I did state I was NOT talking to the ones who had Kabukis or Provaris now.

I hope this is clearer now.
I was confused by your post until reading it 18 times. That's on me, not you. But before replying, I understood it. Those without a ProVari will buy a P3 Kabuki and adapter because going forward, if they want to use a Kabuki with a 510 device, they are going to have to. :D

Best part about this is maybe they will be enlightened and buy a Provari! :)

And when I say Provari - I include Radius - I just call them all Provari lol :D

Here's where I'll call out the elephant in the room...this is a $89 tank (if you get the basic one) that uses disposable coils that are dependent on another company to continue making...I have no idea what the Kabuki 510 adapter will cost but lets say $10..now you are at (rounding...) $100 for the tank. I just don't see people buying a P3 threaded tank then buying a proprietary 510 adapter so they have the ability to use it on other devices.

Understand - I am NOT talking to those of us who have Kabukis or Provaris for that matter...sometimes I have to remind myself that not everyone has a Provari - then I get a sad.

Agreed. I would not purchase said adapter separately. :)
I will find a different atty for my 510 devices, thx.

And some of us, even those of us who have (lemme count)... SEVEN P3 threaded devices still opted for the 510 Kabuki, each and every time.

So yes, good point you make, yet it even extends beyond just those who don't have a Provi (queue the sad music).
I myself am saddened by the news that there will be no more 510 versions. Ever since getting my IPV D2 it has been my daily carry with a Kabuki. I used to be happy with just the tank on an 18350 mechanical but grew to love running it regulated at 11 watts :). I was going to get another 510 Kabuki so I could rotate juices but unless our one B&M that carries HOH stuff has one I guess I'll be SOL...

Aside from the fact that Zen seems to hate the 510 (can't say I blame him, I think the P3 is more solid), maybe it was a sales thing as well. Provape seemed to run out of the various flavors but My Baker never ran out of the 510. I hate to sound elitist, but maybe the masses of istick/kanger/other $35 chinamods won't pay north of $80 for a tank, but those of us who have invested in Provaris will. I guess I'm an elitist. :(

I don't regret buying the 3 (soon to be 5 I hope) Kabukis I own...one of my peaves with the Kanger subtank was that it would almost always leak, whereas I have only had a couple of bottom leaks from the Kabukis, and I attribute that to the coils. I for one am OK with paying more, if for that reason only.

I eagerly await the Ti tanks. If I don't manage to grab at least 2, I will be............displeased.

Thanks for reminding me about MBV. They still had the limited edition (blue O-Rings) in stock so I ordered one and used a 10% off offer that popped up while I was looking :D That will bring me up to 4 Kabuki's; 2 - 510's and 2 - Z2's :D

@StealthyTX Hey there! Just noticed you are in <3 Austin <3 - I'm from TX and lived in Austin for 15 years - went to UT there and just hung around.

I'm so fond of Austin - had some really good times there!

I bet there are some good vape shops around - what's the scene like there today? I haven't visited since 2003, when I ran - no, moved - away - to near where Lord/Duke/Earl Cromwell is. ( @Robert Cromwell check your coversations!)

*raises hand* that's me.

As a newcomer to all vaping all the time who hasn't got more than 1 provari and who is still settling hardware questions, of course I want the 510 adapter purely for the flexibility it adds.

yes but ...I dont get it ...????

Wouldnt you rather just purchase a Kabuki 510 ?

If you dont own a Provari(yet ;) ...or a kabuki (yet)..wouldnt you rather just buy a 510 kabuki +use it on your regular mods until you can manage to purchase a P3/Radius/whatever ?

I have 3 P3's & a Radius and have 6 Kabuki's but out of the six I bought 4x 510's and only 2x P3Kabuki's because I figure the versatility offered by the 510 is really important : if for whatever reason Im stranded without Provaris I can always pick up any other kind of mod, purchase a cheap Istick or whatever and still get to use my Kabuki .

Why would people go out and buy an adapter instead of just buying a 510 Kabuki ?(IF they were still available). With the 510 kabuki you have more options ?????

I don't understand why some think that kind of flexibility would be a bad thing.

510 Kabukis are still available if you are willing to buy the clone especially if they are not going to be available as authentics. Just my thought.
I'd keep the clone talk down around these parts...
It borders on disrespectful to talk about buying a clone of a device, made by a very skilled and dedicated person, who just so happens to be very active on this thread...and who does more to further the innovation and survival of the vape industry, than most people dream of.

Well said HB! One thing I will never ever own, is a clone of the Kabuki, or any other product that HOH designed and produces.

You guys seem to really love whining. You all seem to forget all the issues with the 510 version.

The gurgling due to condensation build up in the connector area that can't be easily cleared. The inconsistency of coils causing connection failure or shorts, among others.

The p3 kabuki is a bit shorter than the 510 so I can't see the adapter adding much if anything over the 510 length. It also solves a host of issues with the 510 Zen has had.

It just makes sense to drop the dedicated 510 version when the adapter will do what the 510 base does while bringing to the 510 the benefits the p3 version has.

Zen was already talking about making the 510 base a two piece for easy cleaning and the adapter will do that and allow Zen to streamline production which helps reduce cost. It's possible the p3 kabuki with adapter included will not cost anymore than the kabuki does now.

I'm sure once Zen is finished with his cleanup we will find out more. Until then stop with the bashing and think logically from all sides.

I agree!

Up until I got a KF4, I didn't own any P3 tanks, and I didn't waste one second crying about my P3's EXTRA ability to use P3 tanks...I just happily used it for all my 510 tanks.
So, if someone who doesn't own a P3 threaded Provari, buys this new type of Kabuki, I highly doubt they're going to complain that "this tank can go on MORE than just a 510 device...plus the adapter let's me clean out the base. Dang."

Thanks for this. I'll figure it out one way or another - the mini freezer is an excellent idea since it could stay closed unless needed.

I am going to buy one of the special blems or a 2.5 - Hoh such great news that you can buy the non-tapered top.

I'm making my first nicotine order today. [emoji106]

I AM feeling quite anxious and panicked about things, though, so as not to waste time or nicotine access opportunity!

Again, thank you, @madangus [emoji8]

You are welcome. Cute pup by the way :)

For nic i went with the nude nicotine armor since its nicely packaged for the freezer straight out of the box. And gets very good reviews from folks on here. Vaportek also make another highly rated base, though i think you would have to put it in glass bottles for the freezer. Might be slightly more than nude? They had a blind taste test thread and nude / vaportek were the 2 top choices from what i remember. Look around though there may be others, i just did a lot of reading before i decided.

Some folks recommend trying a bunch of bases... I was too lazy to do that lol. Firstly, i have enough commerical premixed juice to last through christmas of this new year we Are in, so won't be learning diy till the end of this year... And also just time. I figure there were enough positive reviews that its a safe bet. Can always use mild flavoring if i really have to. Per the reviews tho, nude, vaportek both are pretty clean and neutral.

The polished stainless and a couple of the other 2.5s have the p3 top as an option. Other folks have gotten the zombie or dragon etc and opened a ticket immediately to beg for the p3 flat top. Sounds like they will do that for the blems too.

I'm glad zen is doing a p3 510 adaptor thingy another probably low cost option for those of us wit lots of tapered 2.5s :)

Yes, sure - if it's available when I'm ready to buy. I'd rather buy a 510, but it's lovely that if I must I can get a P3 kabuki & put it on my Provari P3 (I have one, but will be buying 1 or 2 more and a radius, I think, as of now) but also buy a p3 to 510 adapter and put it on non-P3 Provaris and other devices that may go in the stash.

Maybe I've forgotten what the point the OP was making, LOL.

Whatever kind of adapter it is: P3 <------> 510 I am glad it can go both ways ;)

I don't have enough experience with Kabukis OR P3 devices (or for that matter, 510 devices) to have formed a preference yet - I'm just concerned about getting my hands on things prior to any vape-apocalypse. I guess I'd say function over form except when scarcity looms (or appears to be looming).
