I am not a happy user today.
I finally decided to replace that old coil that I ended up putting back in on the last go-round.

3 more coils and I give up.

Carefully thread a new coil in the base nice and snug...nothing out of the normal.

Thread the tank on, last little gap to be finished, there is a pause and then a give and then the whole assembly spins freely and the whole tank is wobbly on the base.

Un do....re do...new coil - rinse and repeat, but now the coils will just spin in the base.

They are striping themselves out and cross threading somehow

And no - I don't "crank down"on things and threads have all been brushed out and cleaned with a proxy brush. (tiny dental brush)
And 3rd coil is from a new pack.

I love that I finally have a tank that I can use and enjoy instead of dripping...but dang...
Dang, that sounds like a suck. First of all, we are instructed to crank down (hand) the coils in the base. Do you have a Nautilus to try them in. Wondering, and would like to know, if it's the base or the coils.

Sorry for your trouble.

Had the exact same thing happen with one of my Stealth 510's. Called the shop and they sent me a pre-paid return package along with a replacement base (though at the time I thought it was a mistake, they sent me a P3 base instead of a 510 - Now I think they just may be out of the Stealth 510 bases because they were in the process discontinuing them). At any rate, I would just give HoH a call and have it replaced cause you are killing too many coils trying to fix it..

Decided to mess with one of my Z2 threaded Kabukis

The last tried spinning coil works just fine in it.

Looks like my 510 is sick...

Broke my first tank today...
$51 dollars later
Can anyone just get online, order what you broke, and just quit?
I sure can't.
Hubby and I have reached a compromise - I fill up the cart and leave it. Later, maybe the next day, he logs on and deletes all the impulse clicking and pays for it. I wait for the mail :)
It's always a surprise! I'm never disappointed though - he slips in things time ti time like drip tips or batteries I truly need - stuff like that.

They were reasonable purchases. I added orings, a gunmetal tank, and a drip tip, along with the glass tank. Didn't need the drip tip, the rest will be needed eventually. But still, $51 dollars instead of $16.:toast:

I had the same problem with the first coil I had (one provided w kabuki)....

I was ...... and tried the coil a few times and wasted maybe 5ml of juice... then I grabbed a new coil and it worked fine.

Lets hope my problem doesnt return or I will be sending Mt Baker and HoH a note.... mine P3 Kabuki has never done it only this new 510 version.

Eight!

I got some extra glass ones in the Mystery box I got, but no metal. Thinkin' I'll add another metal to my stash before too long, but would love some more designs.....to compete with the lovely elegance flourish.

Bedazzled has recently added a few more to her Kabuki tank offerings if anyone would like an alternative.

Here's one I thought was rather interesting:

Has anyone ordered and used her tanks on their Kabuki? Do they fit and work well? I'm interested. Thank you!
