Strange, when I go to refill my 510 tank the coil stays in the chimney every time. My P3 tank does not have this issue. Perhaps this is further justification for the GMZ Kabuki...tie breaker. Just seems odd.

My 510's do that more often than not--never happens on the P3. The coils are tight and they are not cross threaded. It bugs me a little bit because I have to take the extra step to get it out. I think it is just a trait of the 510.

What coils area you using?

*knocks on every piece of wood I can find* ... also I have a 510 Kabuki & have not had a coil stuck in the chimney. Not even once.

!!! G*NOTE FIVE !!!

Using authentic Aspire coils. I know that they are not cross threaded or anything amiss on my end. Not the biggest deal, more of a slight annoyance, and glad to hear I am not the only one. I still love the Kabukis...just not as much as my Kayfuns.

Same here... using authentic Aspire nautilus coils with no issues of cross threading or over/under tightening and for me they are sticking 100% of the time in all of them. Funny enough though, I had a box of non-authentic coils and the one I tried did not stick but it allowed my eliquid to leak like no bodies business out the air hole so that was also the last one I used, the non-authentic have intake larger holes which may be good for high VG juices but I use a high PG mix.

At first I tried playing around trying to see if I could correct the sticking issue, super cleaning the connections, backing out the 510 to make sure the coil was seating down into the base securely then tightening it back against the pin, screwing the tank together leaving it a little lose or making it tighter, putting a little eliquid on the screw top of the coil to lube it up a bit or making sure it was dry, nothing made a difference though. I almost feel like the top threads bottom out to quickly and maybe could have been extended up a touch further, although I understand why they do so you do not over-tighten and break the glass, but it seems like it grips the coil once it bottoms out.

I have just gotten used to it though and try to use it to my advantage, it's a bit of a pain but it's not like I do not have other tanks with premade coils that stick. The ego ONE CLR coils are famous for the tops sticking and unscrewing the rebuildable cap leaving it up in the chimney for you to dig out when you remove the base to refill. I like the Kabuki enough to deal with it sticking and all :)

I can't remember if it was @Ladiekali or @MsLoud who had the same problem. Hopefully both will show up when they get time & respond.

I do remember this being an issue but not one experienced by a wide margin of people.

I'm gonna try to remember this in the event it happens when I get around to rebuilding these heads.

Yea - Mine was stuck once and it was new so I just torqued it down more into the chimney and left it there :D

From then on - I always screwed the coil into the chimney first so it would stay and I could put more juice in the tank lol

Never bothered me.
So every time you change the coil you wedge it into the chimney? :sneaky:
Seriously tho, how'd you eventually get the stuck one out?

When it starts tasting like poo - I used pliers! HAHA

I tried to rebuild a Nautilus coil once - once...I throw them away to save myself the aggravation now. I don't use a Kabuki nowdays - I stick to my rebuildables. Hubs has one or two running for convenience though.

I would gently suggest contacting Zen...

These tanks do have a lifetime warranty after all.

lol Yes but he likes to be somewhat independent so this works for him. But no, he cant not rebuild - limitations and all.

He has about 10 tanks I keep up for him weekly. He has his ADV in them and is starting to mess with DIY when I'm working so that juice goes in the rebuildables. I use ReadyxWick so easy to change out flavors by just rinsing and dry burn then all set.

So I have been using my Kabuki with the Nautilus 1.8 coil and my coils are only lasting 2-4 days before I start getting a burnt taste. I am using a juice that is max VG (80/20) and wonder if that is causing my coils to burn out so fast. I am running the Kabuki on my Radius at 11 watts. Any ideas?

How sweet is the juice?

The only thing I can offer.

I have 2 Kabukis. In one I run a dark coffee juice and the other a pretty clear coffee juice. The dark juice seems to gunk up a coils in 3 or 4 days depending on how much I hit it. The clear juice lasts for several weeks. Similar in my Kayfuns....tanks using certain juices need to be rewicked more frequently.
