I thought we already agreed not to hold our breaths.
I'm starting to think you just like torturing yourself.
I do. It's my passion! ;)

I just want a damned Nauti rba that is easy to coil.... From ANYONE!! I am about to sell my Kabukis as my Crowns and Subtank Minis work just fine as do their RBAs.

BreShad, Wish I was near, or had a camera to film how it do it. It started out to be kinda hard, until I found the tricks. Now, not bad at all.

The biggest problem is getting the darned thing back into the tank chimney. I found that polishing the edges of the deck threads at the cutouts (where the cotton is exposed for wicking) completely did away with this issue. So, Have dremel will travel!;)

Ya know, you could set yourself up a business rebuilding these things, even for just this small group of folks!

Hahaha! Ain't it funny the skills we develop, that we never knew we'd need?

For those that are actually rebuilding the VVWTF as I like to call it, is it the horizontal or vertical coils that provide the better vape? I recently completed my Vapocalypse stash and have some time to give the Iron Maiden some more attention. I know I'm going to regret it though lol.

Funny but I was just thinking of you a few weeks back. I was looking at an old exchange of ours. I hope you're well, Mr. Diesel!

Yes, it is advertised at 3ml. I'm a curious folk though, and take syringes to all my tanks. Try as I might, I can't make it come out to more than 2ml (with standard fill). When the coil sticks I can get it close to 2.5, but then it gets all gurgly and what-not, so..... 2ml. :)

Another big lie is the Nautilus caged tank, commonly advertised as 5ml. It is actually 3ml.

All facts here are verifiable with 30 seconds and a syringe. Feel free to dispute - maybe we'll have a "Syringe-Off" contest.

Nautilus BVC coils come in 1.6 ohm, and 1.8 ohm options, and are the correct coils for the Kabuki.

NOT to be confused with the standard BVC coils.

Well I use the Nautilus bvc coils. I believe they are 1.8. On my Radius the read at 1.8-1.9.

In my experience, the 1.6 coils always jump up a bit after some use, and settle around 1.7-1.8.
Same typically thing happens with the 1.8 coils...which usually settle around 1.9-2.0.
Makes my wonder why they don't purposely build them lower, and advertise them as the resistance they actually settle on after use.
I have never had a pre-made coil stay at the advertised resistance. They always go up. Regardless of brand, style, etc.

Same here. I use the 1.8 coils at 8-8.5 Watts, which for me is their sweet spot.

Funny how subjective tastes/preferences are. I prefer my coils at 10 watts. Your battery life must be even more long-lasting than mine!

I forget if the Mini Tritons work, but I think they do. all Nautilus for sure.

The 510 version of the Kabuki can use the Triton Mini coils, but needs to have the center pin of the coil swapped with that of a Nautilus coil, as the base isn't deep enough to house the full Triton Mini coil unmodified.

The P3 version of the Kabuki can utilize the Triton Mini coils, without doing anything to them, as the base of the P3 Kabuki deck is wide open.
At least that's what I've read.

I have found the 1.2Ω Triton Mini coils to give muted flavor compared to the 1.6Ω and 1.8Ω Nautilus BVC coils. Your mileage may vary.

Same.
Granted I've only tried the Triton Mini coils at my local shop, and not in a Kabuki.

Odd though, cuz I build my Kayfuns to 1.0-1.2 and fire them at the same 10 watts, and I get great flavor from them.

Wonder what Aspire did so differently to the Triton Mini coils, that they differ from the Nauti coils so much...
Maybe the airflow?
Typically more airflow means reduced flavor.
At least in my experience.

What attachment did you use for the thread polishing? I have a Dremel with like 200 different attachments. That has been my issue the whole time with the RBA, it's not the building (that's become easy!) it's that the threading is TERRIBLE!!!

I've found that a horizontal coil is FAR easier for me to install that a vertical coil on the VVWTF! After several failed attempts, tool throwing, and a lot of swearing I found that installing the bottom lead in first made it a complete breeze to set up. I was following the You Tube tutorial when I first got it and he is securing the top lead first so I tried to emulate that and all I got for it was heartbreak and regret! Once I started installing the bottom lead first it's been easy peasy ever since!
