Anybody Using A Kabuki?

I personally believe that our numbers are too small at this point in time to be of any real concern to the powers that be...the smart ones among us have loaded up, and gotten ready to hunker down and keep on keepin' on, under the radar and we will be of no concern to the regulators. Their goal is to squash the market, and I believe they will be very successful in that end. With no market, there will be no further exodus of customers from combustible tobacco. They have already tainted the waters of public perception to the point where still smokers have plenty of sound bites to justify just keeping on with their deadly consumption of combustible tobacco. In a big way, they have already won, unless there is a paradigm shift in our press and public health officials stance on where vaping should be in the harm reduction scheme of things in public health policies.

Our numbers currently don't amount to much in the grand scheme of things. IMHO, the representative republic we grew up in is for all intents and purposes ... gone. Forever. With the indoctrination of our youth in the public education system there is no chance for the paradigm to ever shift. Evil bastages are playing with the long game in mind. The regulations regarding vaping will not only stay in place, but ultimately will seem like child's play when the gummint decides it has the popular support to enact a soft tyranny on the sheepeople that remain. You know that herd ... the politically correct, miserable, unwashed heathens, that need to be told how to live their miserable existences by the almighty uncle sam. It breaks my heart that our neighbors can be so intellectually bankrupt and diabolical at the same time. We had a good run though!

Oh and just a brief FYI update for those interested in the outcome of my attempts at making the "dreaded" VVTF rba work for my Kabuki.

I'm still on the original coil/wick from just over a week ago and it's still working nearly perfectly for me. (coil is getting a little gunked now) but zero burnt flavours like I was getting with the aspire coils. (I've even swapped back and forth quickly just to compare flavour)
I've lost count of how many times I've filled the tank, but it's at Least 5 or 6 so far...
I was lucky to get 3 refills on an aspire coil (genuine)

Very VERY Happy with it, and for me at least it's been a tiny amount of money well spent.

But obviously..Very Obviously, YMMV

p.s. The ONLY thing about this frustratingly tiny and fiddly rba that really irks me is how tricky it can be to screw back into the Kabuki without cross threading, due to the lopsided way the threads are designed.

And I'm sure Zen could, if he chose to, manufacture a MUCH better rebuildable option for his Kabuki than this chintzy third party option

Not only could Zen build a better rba for the Kabuki, but with Zens and PROVAPE sales records, they could make it an update to an existing product. Especially if it would only fit a Kabuki. I would stand in line for my multi Kabukis.

I wonder if Atmistique would be willing to make something like that. Their "Diver" rebuildable tank cartomizer worked pretty well, yes?

And being located in Greece, they at least are well beyond the reach of the FDA.

I will likely just buy a couple hundred Nautilus coils before they are discontinued and hope someone comes up with a RBA that is better than the WWTF.

I love my Kabukis (have 4), but have been using Subtank Minis, Crowns and Kayfuns lately as they are a dream to build.

Hi all, I have been a member on here since 2012 and stumbled across this thread after i purchased A radius 60w snake and genuine kabuki. I have other rebuildables but after years of not needing to buy anything i decided to treat myself now carts have gone, any how I also got a few VVTF Nautilus RBA Decks V2 for the kabuki so i dont have to rely on the manufactures to keep it alive and this post is about these after reading the recent above.
I stripped a vvtf to clean it and fit a vertical coil as i wanted to replicate the naughty coils i had tried and soon figured out the easiest way to coil it was to unscrew the center pin base so that is just in your fingers and pop the bottom end of the coil in, re fit it in the base and pop the other end through the top it was not hard compared to the gg stuff i used to do and re wicking the cotton is a doddle but it is small and would benefit with my eye sight one of those reading magnifiers along with my worn out glasses lol. The pozi screws it came with in an extra packet were used.
Im on the same coil it came with about 2 weeks ago 0.89 and its been my sole vape, put it through its paces about 5 tanks a day at 6mg 50-50.
My concern is the offset threading on the vvtf, you could cross thread it very easily but it would not be a problem to me if the kabuki was top fill and thats what i will do over the next few days.
I drilled out my first kayfuns when they never had a fill point, still got them and used future proof so i will do the same to this.
The Kabuki and VVTF v2 rba can both be improved very easily and have replaced my Kir Fanis tanks - cartomisers RIP.

Why not just get a Calix V2 Nano RBA with P3 base byLeo? or do what I do, and forget the virtues of the P3 base and just use the 510 adapters and you can use anything you want on your provaris.

Bravo, Yonjuro. In allllllllllll these years (be they many to some, or a wisp of the wind to otheres) I've happily and SUCCESSFULLY used 510 konnections on everything I've used.

I have always heeded your advice, and used whatever the heck I wanted on my Provis, other than anything P3. Is what it is, I suppose. But the little konnector that should have only been good for a kartridge on a cigalike, or a karto on an Ego, has served me well, and kontinues to do so.

I do think the P3 connector is fantastic, and it is a shame that more manufacturers haven't got on board. I sent numerous requests to Stattqualm hoping the Squape would do a P3 connector and just got nope, nope, nope. It is a shame that even SvoeMaesto wont be doing one either. The Nautilus atty is finished too, so it's a bummer.

My Radius is always wearing her 510 adapters now, and my P3 has my remaining kabuki perched on her with my last half dozen nauti coils The coils are just too expensive where I am, especially when you add shipping to them. So I will probably see out the rest of the coils I have and retire the Kabuki that has served me well

Oh, no need to be sad, she has been great, and without a doubt the tank that got be off the analogues I haven't tried the Nauti rebuild deck. I am sure I could do it, but just don't have the motivation when I have a clutch of equally high-end RBAs that I really love.

For those of you that are not aware Aspire came out with a new Nautilus 0.7 ohm coil. The coils are expensive I believe because Aspire is not selling these. There is a 2ml nano tank they made for this coil that is part of a kit collaboration with Milspec (Milspec designed/made whatever) the mod. So happens my neighborhood B&M has the kit so I only bought a couple of coils to try due to the price. Unfortunately I really like the coils. I have a number of 70%VG eliquids and depending some work with the regular Nautilus coils and others do not whereas they work well with the 0.7 ohm coil. I am not a subohm vaper so tanks like the subtank mini and everything else out there does not suit my vaping style other than it works better with high VG. There are a handful of online vendors selling the kit however not the 0.7 ohm coils.

Like the Triton Mini coils they do not fit the Kabuki 510. They will not fire on the Provari 2.5 or Classic because it exceeds the minimum resistance spec. I do have one Provari P3 so I am using one of the coils here. The other coil I purchased I am using with a Kabuki P3 with the 510M to P3F adapter. The pin on the nano 0.7 ohm coil the hole is slightly larger than the Nautilus coil. The vape is pleasantly warm and smoother IMO with my higher VG eliquids.

Just need to get my grubby hands on these at a better price.

I would be very interested in those .7 ohm coils. I would like to be able to go mechanical with my Kabuki's but the 1.6 ohm coils don't cut it for me any more. I've found that I really like 13 - 14 watts with a regulated device now... LOL

Triton mini coils work fine on P3 Kabuki, with or without the 510 adapter thingy. It is the 510 only version that needed a pin swap.

That's what I thought. All I have are 510 and Z2 versions and because people said it wasn't all that great, I never tried.

It may mostly depend on vaping style.

I vape single digit watts with more pg in my liquid mix and the Triton mini 1.2 coils gunk up really quickly for me. I don't even recall why I didn't care for the Clapton version, though that version had some fans early on as did the sub ohm.

I'm revisiting some of my stock of rejects to see if I can use them up and only keep my faves. Clapton are next to 're-try.
