Hi,
I wanted to post this for anyone that is considering buying an E-Power 14650. Hope this helps!
Im going to explain why an E-Power is a good choice!

First off, I HIGHLY recommend the E-Power 14650. Its a really nice 3.7V that is a 510. I use it mostly with 1.7ohm LR "Ressurector" cartos and also have a HH .357 2.0ohm atty for dripping and both hit like a beast! Its a really affordable mod and ALL parts of the unit can be replaced and bought seperately which is really nice and keeps costs down.

ADVANTAGES I FOUND OF THE E-POWER OVER OTHER mods

A big plus for the E-Power is that it uses non-proprietary batteries which is great cause instead of paying close to 20 bucks for a whole new battery unit when it quits in other units, you just need to buy a new seperate battery. You can get the 14650 batteries for 4-5 bucks and the "High-Drains" for 7-8 bucks. I have both and they both work really well and they last a long time! (About a whole day on one battery.)

Another plus is that the switch is regulated so you get a nice consistant vape, instead of really trailing off when the battery is almost dead on a lot of other units. Some say it is NOT regulated, but it def is. Ive tested it and at full battery I was at 3.75v on the dot and with a battery that was almost completely dead the absolutely lowest reading Ive gotten was at 3.68v. Thats pretty darn good.
Also, many people were complaining about the rubber button on the switch bc it would stop working, get stuck inside, etc. And that def was true, it was a pain, but they just came out with a new plastic button for the switch and its MUCHH better. (Just like the Joye) And if really needed, you can just buy a completely new switch assembly (with the plastic button) for under 10 bucks.

These are just some of the many pluses that I found when I was looking to buy a new PV and comparing the E-Power to other units.

Now the next part is what I did. There are a lot of great vendors that carry the E-Power but this is the choice that I made and had a great exprience so I thought id share.

If your looking to get one I would def recommend getting it from Crystal Clear Vaping. Ive looked around and they def give you the best bang for your buck. For $57 bucks, you get the E-Power kit, comes with 2 batteries, the new plastic button switch, cone, 2 510 attys, 5 pre-filled cartidges(24mg tobacco), wall charger.

Thats the whole regular kit and you can get this from many vendors.

You might be thinking, well wait I found the E-Power kit for $40-45 bucks from other vendors. How is paying $10 more a better value??

This is why I think CCV has the best bang for your buck for the E-Power:

-CCV throws in a FREE 5-Pack of the 1.7ohm LR Mega "Ressurector" cartomizers (which totally kick ....)
-They also throw in a FREE 30ml bottle of an E-Juice of your choice.(The Black & Mild is tasty)

If you add that up thats $23 in free extras!!

That alone right there I feel makes it worth it, but if your still not convinced..

-To top it off they give you FREE priority shipping (At least a $5-$6 value)
-Plus, put in coupon code "ecf5off" and get 5% off.

I feel this is an AWESOME deal for an AWESOME affordable big-batt mod.

I also recommend buying another pack of cartomizers, either the Ressurectors or the Boges, because he throws in a FREE syringe and needle with every cartomizer pack purchase!

The guy at CCV is a really good guy as well and extremely helpful. His customer service really is top notch.

Like I said, there are many great vendors where you can get an E-Power, but my experience doing it this way was great so I wanted to pass it along.

No matter where you decide to get one, I feel the E-Power 14650 is a great affordable option for a big-battery mod.

I hope this helped for anyone that is having a tough time deciding what PV to get!
Feel free to ask any questions or to add any suggestions!:p

Very good review, though ive measured my e power fresh at 4.06 and near dead at 3.54 so Im not sure it is regulated. But other then that debate I would agree with what you have said. Nolax of Petroleom jelly is a must for these threads though. I like my e power but the threads are cheap compared to almost anything else. Once you lube em up there fine but be careful with em.

Awesome! Your really gonna like the Ressurectors they hit great. They are what I use daily bc they are easy and hold a lot of juice
(2ml).

I also use a HH. 357 hybrid atty when I want to drip. Both hit awesome on the E-Power and I think your really gona like it.

I like the stock batteries and they last me a day to a day and a half. I also bought a 14650 "Hi-Drain" battery and rotate between the 3. The Hi-Drain gives alittle more umph to the Ressurectors and HH.357 and makes them hit like a beast.

Goodluck with it and let me know how you like it when you get it!

Well-written, in-depth review, Rob! And I'm so glad that you named it for what it is – a mod, rather than an eGo on steroids. [I usually don't use the cone anyway.] Thanks!

I have both the 14650 and 18650 versions of the E-Power ... kind of. [That is, I have the NoEgo brand, sold by Jazz CartoPipe without batts, charger, or attys. At $25 and $35 respectively, these are a great alternative for seasoned vapers who already have the batts and charger ... or for anyone who plans to purchase and use IMR batteries.]

Although my 14650 is the prettier of the two, I prefer the 18650 version ... but not really because of the increased mAh. For whatever reason, most of my LR cartos don't work on the 14650, but do work on the bigger mod. [Perhaps that is not the case with the 14650 E-Power.]

CCV indeed is an excellent supplier – they introduced me to my beloved Smok Tech 1.7 Mega Single Coil cartomizers ... and their 15-carto/2-driptip bundle is a great deal! On this product, however, I think that another of my favorite suppliers has the better price: SmokTek, which sells the 14650 E-Power for $46 and also carries the 18650 version ($60). [BTW, SmokTek also carries those fantastic cartos, calling them the "ReJuvenator" rather than "Resurrector."]

Thanks DondaboomVape!

Ive never tried the NoGo, but I use Ressurector cartos on a daily basis on my 14650 and have never had the slightest problem.
As far as where to get it, I did see that SmokTek had it for $46, (they actually have it on sale for $39 right now) and Hoosier ECig Supply has it for $44, BUT once you calculate all the free things you get from CCV it ends up being a really good deal. With the free 5 pack of Ressurectors, free 30ml of juice, and free shipping your getting at least $25 bucks in free stuff. So then the price for just the E-Power is about the same as SmokTek and Hoosier.

What actually sold me though on getting it from CCV and not SmokTek was not all the free stuff, BUT (and this is a BIG but) that they are one of the only suppliers that gives you the new PLASTIC button switch with the kit instead of the crappy rubber one. The rubber ones either break or wear out very quickly, and then your gonna have to pay $10 bucks for a replacement, and normally thats sooner than later. The CCV E-Power kit comes with the plastic button so you wont need to go buy the plastic one when your rubber one breaks. Ive been using the plastic one that came with my unit for quite a while of heavy vaping and it still works like the day I got it. Thats what made me lean toward CCV and not SmokTek. Plus, its pretty nice to get a 5-pack of the Ressurectors and a free 30ml of juice with your kit so you can start vaping right away.

Oh and yeah you are right, SmokTek also carries the 1.7 LR cartos that they call the "Rejuvenators". Another vendor also carries them but I forget where I saw it. They just call them the 1.7ohm LR MEGA Cartomizers.

Thanks, Rob, for all that additional information! You make a strong case for your supplier of choice ... and reminded me about the good price from one of my other favorite suppliers: Hoosier ECig Supply, from whom I purchased my KGO.

You are amazingly knowledgeable for such a new vaper! My commendations!

I do like it but there's something wrong with it because it won't turn off and the button doesn't light up. It has the plastic button, not the rubber one. If I have to keep unscrewing the carto to get it to turn off, I'm going to lose my mind.

I've gone back to using my V4L XL manuals for now but I'd really like to fix my E-Power - if only I could figure out why it's not working right. Any suggestions?

Just got my E Power 14650 E-cigarette kit today and already confused - It came with two batteries, I am using the one it came with and was charging the other battery, put it in the charger and the light was red - went into the room a little while later and the light was flashing red/green constantly. Looked at the booklet that came with it but didn't see what that means, could it be charged already or does a flashing light mean something else? Also, wanted to go to the forum link where others talk about this specific ecigarette but can not find a current one other that this one, need to possibly order a few things for it. Thanks for any help, Darlene (new to forum)

Darlene7,

I can answer that and hopefully put your mind at ease.

That flashing red/green light on your charger is what it is supposed to do. It does that when your battery is really close to being fully charged. When it is charging it will be a solid red. When your getting close to full charge it will start flickering back and forth. Let it go and you will notice the back and forth flashing will start to slow down and it will stay green for longer periods of time. Toward the very end it will be green and quickly flash red every few seconds or so. Finally it will just stay solid green and then thats when your battery is fully charged. Remove the battery from the charger then. If you can, try not to leave the battery on the charger for long periods of time after its fully charged. I hope that made sense and you could understand it.

I noticed also when I first got mine that there was not many other threads about the E-Power and thats one of the reasons I wrote this thread originally. If you have any other quiestions about your E-Power, dont hesitate to ask me. Ill be able to answer most questions you have and if not Ill at least be able to steer you in the right direction.

Goodluck!

VapingRulz,

What supplier did you get your E-Power from, and when did you get it? Also is it the 14650 model or the 18650?

It sounds to me like you might have gotten a faulty switch. I asked where and when you got it from bc you might be able to get them to send you a new one depending on where you got it and how long youve had it. Let me know.

If you want to get a new one go on to Crystal Clear Vaping. You can order a new switch that has the plastic button for $9.50.
I would recommend to get it there bc you wont have to pay for shipping also.

EDIT: I just looked back and saw you had gotten it from CCV, and it looks like you just got it correct? I would call Andrew tomorrow.
Dont wait! Tell him what is happening and tell him it was like that right out of the box. He is really good with his customer service and will prob be able to send you a replacement switch for free. He wants to keep his customers happy which is awesome. I bought a 5-pack of the clear Ressurectors and 2 of them came loose on the part that screws in after only using them for a few days and I called him and told him and
the next day I got an email that he sent me a whole nother 5-pack for free. I think he will be able to help you out. Hes an awesome guy.
I think you just got unlucky and got a bummed switch. Let me know how it works out!

And like I said to Darlene7, feel free to ask me any questions if you have any!

Rob

thanks so much Rob, would like to ask you another question - how many drops should you put in the cart (i don't drip) just use the carts that came with 14650, seems like I have to add drops quite a bit - if thats how it works its fine, just wondering if I'm doing it right - at this point I usually get about 7 drops in a cart that is just out of the box. Thanks again for you help. Darlene

DondaBoomVape,
I appreciate your commendations! Lets just say Im a very quick learner. Who would have thought, Im only 23
I do def like CCV, but Hoosier Cig Supply is a great supplier also! I feel that Brents customer service is up there with Andrews from CCV, which is awesome.

By the way, Madvapes also sells the 1.7ohm LR Cartomizers. I couldnt remeber where last time. I did hear though that a bunch of people that ordered them got some DOAs, so I would consider that. I havent used them personally but I know a few friends that ordered them and had problems. My one buddy got 5 and 3 of them were DOA. I duno maybe it was just a bad batch, but I think Im just gona stick to getting the Ressurectors. Ive ordered 8 packs of 5 from CCV and havent gotten a dead one yet. But maybe Im just lucky..
