Anyone else feel like an E-cig ambassador?

Im so excited about not smoking for 2 weeks now, and I love vaping. I feel like its my duty to spread the word about vaping to current smokers. I install cable and telephone lines, so I meet tons of people. Everytime I see someone smoking, I pull out my Blue LED 510 to spark their curiosity.

"Whats that?"
"Oh, this old thing...let me show you."

So far about half of the people I introduced this to went online to either buy one or research it while I was there. I feel like Im doing my good deed for the day to get people to try this great invention and change in lifestyle, especially when they are smoking in their house with little kids sitting right there.

Most people didnt now e-cigs actually produced a vapor you exhaled, they thought it was some invisible nicotine inhaler or something, they are always suprised when a exhale, and my vapor is bigger than their smoke.

One day at a time, creating a vaping world.

Nice going Badfish20! I've run into the same positive responses from people. They are very curious and like you said amazed at the "smoke-like" vapor exhale. I've had at least five persons now order kits online and several others ask for the online addresses to research themselves.

I'm a nurse so part of my job is education about smoking cessation. While I don't mention vaping to patients I can tell you about 4 employees have some sort of e cig lol.

The non smokers just think its really wierd . Keep passing the word along imo.

Just think of all the lives you may save by showing someone else how they can kick the habit?

I've been off analogs since Feb 5th and everyone at work noticed. I always ask if they are interested in trying to stop and so far I've helped 7 people switch to vapeing!!!! I have several extra 510's so I give them one and a charger and some juice ( I keep tobacco and menthol flavor handy even though I now vape teaberry). I tell them to try it for a few days and if they want, I will give them the website or order it for them. They are always concerned about the price but when I tell them they are astonished. I also talked to the safety manager and nurse about their policy but when the nurse asked me how many cigarettes I now smoked a day I had to tell her twice "NONE". Now she wants one for a friend of hers. By the way, she was so impressed that she said there will be no policy as far as I'm concerned which means we can vape wherever we want! Good news all around! I have turned a few people on to e-cigs over the last couple of months but generally find that people are enthused , initially, but tend to go back to analogs. I'm not sure if it's the learning curve, lack of pleasure from vaping, or just the initial interest was just curiosity. I think to make that effort to strictly vape and not smoke requires a full sense of satisfaction from vaping. This may require a real scrutiny of the nicotine concentration that keeps the beast at bay and to go each day without an analog. It works for me, but I can't really say exactly why I prefer vaping and have grown to hate the taste of cigarettes. I know that I have turned vaping into a hobby , with the mixing juices and finding flavors and concentrations that satisfies the nicotine urge.

Yeah i have only been vapin for a week now,but already i've turned several people on to it.Once they actually see how it(my 510) works,that you actually blow out a big cloud,they get very interested.I also feel cignot should be payin me a commission as i haven't been quiet about the great service ihave gotten as well as the great prices. Been vapin since apr15 havent touched an analog since then and i couldn't be happier.Congrats on the 2 weeks and good luck

When I see someone smoking I actually want to go UP TO THEM and tell them all about it...have to refrain myself though :x People get weirded out when approached in their moment of smoke.

Have had my PV since 4/5...switched a friend last week and an employee got hers today. Talked to another employee's mom and demonstrated it this evening.

I always recommend ECF to people when I talk to them. I think the info and helpfulness of other vapers is important for getting through the initial confusion of all the options and to keep from getting frustrated in the first few days.

Plus it makes vaping funner.

I usually send anyone that show's interest a couple of links to reputable dealers. My favorites is Vapor4life but I also send a link to this forum so that people can educate themselves. I send a list of e-juice suppliers, here in Canada, to those who express an interest to use 3 part systems or who plan on refilling carts.
I have toned down my enthusiasm as I find people want the info but may become skeptical if they sense your enthusiasm is too great. After all, it's still nicotine and not a new pleasure drug.

I'm only on my first day with my 510, and I already feel like an ambassador. So far, I let two coworkers and our CEO try it out. They were so impressed with it and what it was like when they tried it, that they are all ordering to switch from analogs!

Actually it was kinda funny...was at bachelorette party a few weeks ago. Sitting in a fancy hotel room, hangin out drinking in all. No smoking in the room, so the smokers are all ERRR...and I'm happily vaping away.
One gal looked at me and said "Thats just weird"
I said..."Maybe. But I'm getting my Nic what are you doing?"
to which her eyes got real big..."let me try"

I was fighting to get my stuff back the rest of the night, good thing I brought all of my batteries

I always joke that I should be the poster child for e-cigs. I found a very good document, that does a great job explaining e-cigs and FAQ's, a long time ago and I have made a bunch of copies of it. On the back, I wrote the websites of vendors that I purchase from. I keep a bunch of copies in my truck or purse and when someone asks, I tell them a little about them and then give them a flyer. I got tired of the long speach that I had memorized. Everytime someone approaches me my husband just says "oh no, here we go again........see you in an hour hon!!" LOL

If the situation is right, I will often approach smokers directly....

I walk up to strangers I see smoking. I've told a neighbor about it twice now but I don't think she's taken the time to research it.
I see her when I walk the dog and don't have it with me. I guess I'll have to make a point of carrying it.

Would you be willing to share the document? That sounds like a great way to give people info. I tend to forget things I later wish I'd said. Having it all on paper would be good.

Yeah, lots of people are asking me and seem interested about it, and I kinda get tired of all the explanation every time someone asks. No one has converted tough.. they seem a bit reluctant buying these things online. Some even asked me to buy it for them, to which I said, no thanks!
