Yeah, definitely working on upgrading. I have roughly 140 ml of juice on the way from a few different vendors, in a variety of flavors. Both 24 and 36 mg.

I've settled on the KGO as my first "real" PV, but that order is going to have to wait until I get paid on Friday. Hopefully Hoosier will have one in stock. Yesterday the site listed 10, and now it's showing he's got 5 left. Grrr.....

This will make a HUGE difference in your ability to transition to vaping. You got the right nic strength to start out with and a good model PV in the Kgo. If they end up being out of the Kgo, then consider the E-Power 510. It comes with a 1050 battery or larger and the batteries only cost around $4 each and last around 1000 recharges unlike the eGo/Riva that only last around 200 recharges. Here is a couple of reputable suppliers:

Me to. I started with a store disposable on 11/2 and thanks to the net, purchased a V2 cig model within that week. Though I have not smoked a real cig I have not really been satisfied. I was using the USB most exclusively in my car and at home until it burnt out 12/30. I was in a panic not wanting to grab a pack of marlboros. I found a real vapor retail store in MN. and drove the 40 miles to try find something that would satisfy me. They sold me an eGo-T which is okay but I still feel something is missing.

It is nice to not have to switch cartomizers or to drip liquid. Some have suggested to increase my nicotine level but I find I get jumpy and headaches at levels higher than 12mg. Right now I am using 6mg for most of the day and the use 12 mg in AM to get get my nicotine fix when I get up. Before vaping I smoked .5-1pk a day. I seem to vape a whole lot more than I smoked.

So far the tank system is okay but I am still not all the way satisfied. So I hear you and feel your pain. I also wonder if I will ever be satisfied. I am now starting to think about getting a vv mod and have ordered a DIY e juice kit in hopes of finding the right combo. So far I have spent mucho bucks on this little endeavor and hope my husband (nonsmoker) does not see my CC card statement because I have spent over $500 getting this thing started in the last month.

Any advice from veterans out there would be greatly appreciated. Is the vv mod such as provari or lavatube the answer? Should I have started with these first? What do you guys use?
I use a provari and really like it. The best thing about it is it gives you a lot of flexibility. I also like the fact that it is regulated so the vape stays the same throughout the battery charge. With the eGo type batteries the vape tends to weaken as you use up the battery's charge. The original purchase price of the provari can be a bit daunting though. For me it was worth it in the long run.

One thing I would suggest is that you might want to pick up some Boge 2.0 cartomizers which will work with the eGo battery you now have. They will give you an idea of what it is like to vape at a higher voltage without having to fork out the expense of the provari.

I'm so glad I found this thread. I'm having the same issue. I have wanted to quit analog cigs for a long time and never could. I was about a pack a day smoker. Even during my pregnancies I could never completely quit which I feel incredibly guilty about, even though all my kids are perfectly fine. I just discovered vaping at the mall and thought I'd try it. Did not buy theirs though. Went home did some research and bout the EGO T kit which I love. I've had it 3 days now and have not smoked a "real" cig since. However I have been having times where I feel like I need one. My BF is also trying to quit analogs and now vaping and he's not having the same issue so I thought it was just me being weak. I haven't actually given in though and smoked an analog I just kind of feel the need. I'm using 24mg juice in the flavor 555 but have some other flavors on the way along with a LR atomozer and some LR cartos so we'll see how that goes. Just wanted to say I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling this way. I still think I can totally make this work and I hope the cravings I do have go away soon. I agree it is probably some of those other 4000 chemicals in analogs that I'm probably missing. Well Good Luck all and Happy New Year.

Okay so I just ordered some boge 2.0 and ccv LR cartos. I will update you on my progress. I also have a DYI eliq kit in route so this could be a fun experiment. I may work some OT in anticipation of the provari! Thanks:thumb:
