Unfortunately, I think this Picture sums up How I feel about the Current e-Cigarette Market.

hour-glass-bw11.jpg

We'll all have to see how it unfolds, but I don't think it's as dire as you fear.

What I can say is that a LOT of people 'fear' this problem with the FDA, but FAR FAR fewer every do anything, including the very simple act of clicking on the links in the call to actions that are often posted here in the general discussion. I realize that many may feel overwhelemed and that their little click can't help, but it sure as hell can't hurt, and the more people that scream at the powers that be that they are against these stupid regulations and negative campaign media tactics, the more they will have to take notice.

Oh Contraire...

I Admit I was Skeptical when I first tried it. But it is Actually Very Good right out of the Box.

And if one puts a Little Garlic Powder on it and perhaps some Paprika before Baking, it is Very, Very Good.

Unfortunately, what Many of us Fear is how the Taxes and the Ties that the FDA has with Big Business.

On a Level Playing Field, where Science and Health were the Determining Factors, I would Not be very worried at all. But we Don't live in that World.

The thing I see is that the FDA has to first be granted control over e-cigs (deeming regulations) before they can do anything.
2 years for regulations to take effect, 2 years worth of court challenges, 2 years to rewrite the regulations, 2 years for the new regulations to take effect, to more years of court challenges ............

and the regulators, & lawyers, & lobbyists will keep getting paid, and paid, and paid

I know those 2 Year Figures is what the General Consensus feels is Realistic. But isn't that for Hardware?

There is going to be Nothing Stopping the FDA from say Limiting Nicotine to 18mg/ml the Day that get Back from the Federal Registry.

I think e-liquids are going to have a Fast Track of Initial Regulations.

I think if the stores were to stop carrying juice tomorrow though, we'd (the two of us) have enough for a month or so and I'll find someone credible making some and get it bootleg then.

Same for Y2K my mom stocked up on water, TP, dry goods...and notta, I went over at 12:01 and turned her main electric box off..oh the screams and laughter though!! :p
    Hahahahahahaha! Awesome...I love it!!!!

I see absolutly no way they could control that, except for the fact that it would shut down the mom&pop vapor juice vendors. While I agree that would be horrible and unfair, it won't stop anyone from making their own without banning the sale of flavorings and pg/vg which they aren't likely to do. Of course, it could happen, but I really don't see it being likely.

The problem is ... the FDA could make it illegal for juice venders to sell mixed juice, and make 100mg nicotine only available to those who were buying pre ecigs.

What I am saying is ... this whole vaping miracle we've all found and quit smoking with ... that could change on a dime and lock out all the people who are still hooked on smokes.

I am not a fear monger ... more a realist, as soon as I found vaping about a year ago ... one of my first thoughts was ... how has BG not taken this over yet? ... and WOW ... they must be ready to make a move on it soon ... they are just losing too much un-replaceable money to let this vaping/quit smoking trend to continue.

I started with Blu ... it showed me I could quit (but not with Blu). See what I did there?

When this is over ... I expect there to be cigalike only ecigs allowed ... and a seperate black market for all the real stuff including eJuice.

These guys will never learn from past mistakes.

Depends on if we can find a vape friendly judge.

Well... I can't eat regular lasagna anymore anyway, since I discovered my sensitivity to tomatoes. But to me, something that's just vegetables... that's a side dish, and requires meat to make a meal.

Never have understood vegetarianism, and never will. I don't eat a huge amount of meat, but there must be SOME. Can't get B12 from anything but animal sources -- or pills. I hate taking pills. :D

This being our 27th wedding anniversary, tonight we're going to Outback... STEAK TIME!!! :thumb:

Exactly!!! As I said, I'm 'Kinda prepping" and making my vape much cheaper at the same time.... I figured while I was ordering to DIY, Id get the most bang for my buck and start a "stash" so went with a gallon of each PG /VG and and 500ml of 100mg nic base. No one knows what is going to happen so it all speculation and opinion right now, "I think" is ok till your wrong and spending thousands vs hundreds for the same volume, just sayn. --->IF<---nic base, because of how far it goes in the juice making process, goes thru the roof, I'll be happy I have plenty at a reasonable price.

I'm the person who shops at costco and comes home with the giant bundles of TP and paper towels even though it may take me a year to use it all. I'm not going to say anything against buying in bulk to save money.

I'm still amazed that my purchase from Heartland works out to less than $10 a year for nic.

I'm telling you, I'm about the Farthest from a Vegetarian there is. And Vegan Rallies sometimes carry Pictures of me on their Signs Eating a 64oz Steak.

But you Should Try that Veggie Lasagna.

That and some Garlic Cheese Bread... That's Good Eating.

    Exactly.

I also feel that deeming e-liquid as a tobacco product will be a green light to legislatures around the country to start taxing it like tobacco. And maybe shut down internet sales as well.

Can you Buy Cigarette over the Internet?

I don't think it is a Reach to think that e-Liquids will Not Be Sold over the Internet Either.

And if they are going to go that Route (which Many Feel they Are), do you think they will Wait 2 Years to Do It?

Well, hope for the best but prepare for the worst, I would say.

I have enought nic base in the freezer to make 2 gallons of e-liquid (!), enough flavorings to last me until the end of my life and beyond (I do like to buy those), enough hardware to open a small store (I've got a case of Shiny Acquisition Syndrome) - and I am now getting into those make-your-own coils atomizers, to be independent if worst comes to worst.

Hope for the best, do all you can - but prepare for the worst. This is my motto.
