@tx and jp1000 - thank you for answering. :) Since I've never used an auto battery, I'm sure I don't know what I'm missing. And I don't always pay close attention when topping off so a manual may be my best bet still since there is not a huge difference in flavor. Thanks guys!

You just need to take the carto off the battery while refilling. These cartos don't leak at all after they are filled and will last 12 hours of vaping so you don't have to top off all the time like other cartos or attys.

12 hours?? That's just crazy... only refill once a day talk about no fuss no muss. I think I would ultimately want some of the larger batts and some of the small for out and about as jp mentioned.

I agree ShannonA - this system is ideal for dual sizes. Same carto - pick your battery size needs for the day - ideal! I don't really need the larger size but I am getting tempted :)

They have a new kit posted this morning riva Batt 1100mah maual and some echo cartos that go with it,if the riva batt does not have the led on the end I might pull out the plastic.. I will need a loaf of bread and water and a dog house that has ac in ..

And a long extension cord to charge your new batteries :)

A split kit is a good ideal although I prefer the 1300 batteries a small 650 comes in handy sometimes. I think my next kit will contain one of ea.

I just talked to Cropduster and the new Echo-e carto is working great on the Riva and Ego batteries. It is advertised to hold 2.3 ml but he thought they held a little more than that. The carto is the same size as the regular echo carto but being as they had to recess the fitting to fit down over the Riva threads you lose a little juice capacity. I've got to order a couple myself for my Riva batteries.

I am still digesting the non leaking carto. I never heard of such a thing. I guess my main worry is some parts fail earlier than expected so if you somehow got a defective carto... with an auto batt... would it be insta toast?

I'm such a skeptic... lol

The KR808 is generally auto battery - Bloog (I own one) has an advanced auto battery much like the echo and the only instances of battery failure (liquid) I have really seen in the Bloog forums are from folks who fill the cartos while still on the battery. Have not seen anyone lose one from carto failure (not to say it has never happened though). This happens because the Bloog cartos only hold around 20 drops or so and a lot of people 'top off' the cartos often.

My own experience with the Echo carto compared to the GoGo carto is that I will fill each until a few drops come out the bottom. I blow through each mouthpiece and clean the bottom. Let both sit overnight on a kleenex - the area under the Echo carto is bone dry and the area under the GoGo carto is a stain from a little more leakage. I really am amazed at the Echo carto design.

Now long term....only time will tell.

Ahhh so if one does spring a leak... unless on the offchance it does so in mid use... you can tell and just not use it... that lessens the odds of battery loss quite a bit. Thanks for that.

I'm very new, what is a echo is it something that you hear while your vaping.Would someone please tell me how to hear the echo.I have been trying very hard to hear a echo but I can hear is a buzz like noise...
I fill mine the same way as JP but I only let mine set for 5 minutes or so and there is no leakage after the initial overflow drips out usually two or three drops but the longer the safer.
