I have a question about refilling echo e cartos. I used a syringe to fill the 1st time, let it sit, and made sure it was completely saturated. Is it appropriate to top off when needed by dripping into the polyfil from the top like a regular carto, or should I continue to use a syringe for refilling?

I've been using these since they first cam available and topping off does not hurt a thing. I do it all the time. Just take it off the battery first.

The statement quoted above is slightly misleading. If you get too much liquid in these cartos they will absolutely leak like a sieve. Even if nothing gets in the air tube they will leak. Does that make them bad or a "fail"? Heck no!!! That just means they are a carto. LOL!!!

Just fill them (or do your top off) on your desk or table and not on the unit. Blow it out when your done or if it leaks. After that initial "gush" it's done leaking. It's a great product but it does leak if overfilled just like any other carto.

Bo

I meant they don't leak after they are filled and the overflow drains out. If you let it set a few minutes after filling they don't leak a drop.

I should be geting my new echo today. I think I have a syring at home but I am not completely sure. If not, I will make sure to order one right away. Any suggestions for a first time Echo user?

I posted on the other thread but you can buy a 5ml blunt syringe here for 1.50 with free shipping. 5ml Filler Needle

Unfortunately, I backslid and went back to analogs several months ago. :( I am now ready to do this again FOR GOOD! The last e-cig I had and LOVED was the LEO. After researching the Echo though, I'd like to give it a try. I'm confused though as to why anyone would choose the 650 over the 1300? (I have my 3 grandsons so keep getting distracted while trying to research, sorry). I see there is a $10 price difference in the two, but any reason other than that? Thanks much!

I went back to analogs as well and am now on day 5 analog free! The echo really, really, really is working for me. I chose the 1300 for battery life. I don't have the 650 but folks say that it is about an inch shorter with a bit less battery life. I don't mind the size or the length simply because I'm just happy that it works. You sound exactly where I was when I slid off the wagon from my regular KR808s.

Btw - I purchased mine from Bill at D&B Gold and it came super fast and from what I can see - he's got the best price around (if he still has stock in). I want to order some extra cartos myself but by the time I do it he'll probably have gone through his stock :)!

Good luck! I'm sure others will certainly chime in with a bit more experience than myself.

Since we're already on topic - I'd like to ask experienced Echo users a question about their juices for the Echo. Right now I'm working off some year old juices (um, that I was told are good for 8 months....but, whatever - they are working for the moment). Anyone have good recommendations as to the VG/PG ratio that seems to be working best for you? They all seem to be working good for me but again - this is only day 5 so what do I know.

Wow, thanks Vermonter16! I didn't receive notification of a new post in this thread, so was unaware of D&B Gold. In the meantime, I placed an order with MountainVapor.com, but never had a payment option, though I do have an order confirmation???? I can't figure that out, but I did PM Bill the minute I saw your response (just now) to see if he had what I wanted in stock. Hoping so! Thank you, and best of luck in your e-cig endeavor!!

I just got my Echo 1300mah auto chrome today from coolvapes.com and I am in love! I've been off analogs for almost 2 months and started out on a very basic e cig kit that required almost constant charging of batteries and didn't offer much in the way of flavor or vapor. I knew that it was time to move up to a better mod and after much research on ecf I decided to go with an Echo and also ordered and Ego. I haven't tried the Ego out yet, but I get the feeling that I'll just end up selling or trading it and ordering at least one more Echo kit. I've read a few comments about people not getting enough TH on the Echo, but it isn't an issue for me since a big TH isn't something I really crave when I vape, but everyones tastes and desires are different. I'm vaping some caramel popcorn from Tasty Vapor in the Echo carto and the flavor is off the charts good! I love my new Echo so much I actually kissed it lol. One thing I have noticed is that my 12mg nic juice seems more like 18mg on the Echo and I think I'll need to start getting lower nic juice. Has anyone else noticed that the echo seems to intensify the nic in their e juice?

I've seen many people make that comment. Another bonus!

Does anyone know about how long it takes to charge the 1300mah battery? I charged mine for over 17 hours and the charging light never did turn green. Isn't it supposed to change from red to green or maybe blue?

That sounds like a really looong time. I think I've heard normal charging takes about 9 1/2 hours. I usually put mine on over night and forget to check it until late morning so can't be positive to the number of hours. But not 17, I'm sure. Maybe check with your vendor?
