Anyone else working for the Census?

On April 27, 2010, hundreds of thousands of Americans will begin temporary employment with the US Census Bureau (to track down all those vapers - and a couple other malcontents - who refused to send in their questionnaire). Some of us (yes, I am one of them), began on this long drawn out process a year or more ago.

Tomorrow morning, I begin to train an early starter class. [Previously, I was on five other Census projects and I've just completed ten days of my own training and preparation for this one.] This has been so time consuming that it actually has replaced vaping8-o as my primary mental focus. [Can you believe it?!]

I'm wondering, is there any other vaper participating in this massive effort, having been signed up (albeit temporarily) by the biggest hiring employer in this dismal economy?

Hey Don! My son a part time vaper, starts very soon. I haven't talked to him since last week so he may have already started. I will ask him to come on and tell you his experiance.
I do have a question..why do they come to your house when you DO send the census back . I don't answer anything but the mandatory questions.

We don't* ... other than due to time lag (recently sent-in form) or SNAFU.

We don't have time to; there are far too many households (not only vapers) who didn't return the completed questionnaire ... especially in South Florida.

* I believe there also are other (much smaller) Census projects going on, which might entail door knocking. And there are bogus people representing themselves as Census workers to get access to homes and information. [I've already seen one bogus "2010 Census" questionnaire asking for money.]
