started the thread in the new section but in case you missed it and forgot about how much it sucked when it happened in the past...

one of the advantages of not smoking i guess...

maybe some of the night clubs in florida i used to go to that used fog machines alot got me used to the vapor...lol

yeah forgot about the lip seemed to happen to the wife more often, yeah that does suck too..

i am trying to think of the other stuff, not just the health issues... burnt holes in stuff excluded... burning yourself included, funniest home videos showed a guy falling a sleep with a smoke in his mouth and it fell out on his chest... he woke up pretty fast...

Grabbing too high up by the lit end, and inadvertently burning between your fingers. 8-o

Tossing one out the car window and wondering if it flew into the back seat....Sneaking peeks back there while driving on the highway...sniffing for something "burning"....hoping it didn't land in your shopping bags, or on your hanging dry-cleaning....or the dog..

"Cold Turkey" means "all at once". ie. he didn't ramp-down.

From Answers.com:

"n. Slang
  • Immediate, complete withdrawal from something on which one has become dependent, such as an addictive drug."
From dictionary.reference.com:

cold turkey

–nounInformal. 1.abrupt and complete withdrawal from the use of an addictive substance, as a narcotic drug, alcohol, or tobacco.

Would a link to Google be helpful here? ;)

Speaking of cigs and automobiles, I have inadvertently tossed a just-lit smoke out the window while trying to just ash it, several times. Really aggravating.

And let's not forget the retch-inducing horror of accidentally lighting the filter end of a cig and taking a big ole puff. Is there anything worse than that?

So many things I will NOT miss about smoking...

His signature doesn't mention anything about "nicotine", it says he quit "cigs cold turkey". Which I would assume meant he "quit cigarettes cold turkey" which I would then assume meant "he quit smoking cigarettes 'immediately. A complete withdrawl from something that he found addictive".

Are you sure the PG didn't have a more severe acute irritation on your eyes? ;)

 OH that was a notorious rookie-smoker mistake for me too. It happened a lot in the beggining, and only from time to time later on. Always sucked though.

And then there were the "breakages" too...hated it when the break was up too high to the filter and I couldn't salvage it with a snip. Someone taught me a scotch-tape trick for that...didn't care for it much.
