I'd like to hear if people from other countries than the U.S. have such experiences? I haven't, in Greece, and though I can't say it wouldn't happen, it seems extremely out of character for people here. I do think there is a small percentage of people who really do have seriously negative reactions from various scents, including soaps, colognes and scented body products, who might be legitimately adversely affected... though I suspect that the number of people
claiming such sensitivity is far larger than the percentage that really does suffer from this problem.
I'm also willing to admit that some
e-liquids are just nasty. We have one I bought myself for my husband that he enjoys, but which I won't allow him to vape in the house because it makes me feel sick, and his close friend (a light smoker), told him "I don't usually mind this [vape] stuff, but this one is awful." Occasionally you really do get a stinker, and people may react differently to different stuff: one person may love the scent of your bakery flavour while another finds it super sickly sweet.
So, yeah, I'm not that militant about it, and I also think that since we do have the option of just holding in the vapor for a few moments and not blowing clouds at all, we can choose our battles and not necessarily be too aggressive in situations or settings where it's possibly a problem. I mean I'm a chain vaper at home, but even I wouldn't want to eat in a restaurant full of people
vaping, with different scents wafting all around and disturbing my taste/smell enjoyment of my food, for example, or be stuck in a non-ventilated area with someone who insisted on blowing huge clouds and filling the area with the scent that they are enjoying, but I might not like, or might not like to be penned up with.
