Just because someone is old doesnt mean that they are not ignorant, manipulative, sociopathic or dangerous. The only difference between this old lady and a schoolyard bully is age and nothing else. She invaded his space and did it ON PURPOSE. Consider the cubic footage of air in an outside environment; she could have moved just a few feet in any direction as long as it was not downwind and been unaffected. I have waited at my share of bus stops and many of them are near or at intersections you mean to tell me the vaping bothered her but all of those cars spewing exhaust waiting for the light to change did not?
Oh, please.
I have seen the elderly use their age in an attempt to manipulate people. That old lady has more than likely been that way her entire life.
I have a friend who used to harangue me about stopping smoking. When I discovered vaping, I quit smoking. She would come over to my house and comment about how nice the place smelled since I stopped smoking. Each time I had been vaping like a friend prior to her stopping by.
One day she came over and I was sitting in my recliner vaping, and she did this little delicate hack, hack, like she did when I smoked.
I looked at her.
I told her that if the vaping bothered her so much I would appreciate it if she would not come over any more. I am not so desperate for friends that I have to put up with passive-agressive control tactics within my own home. Countless other times she had stopped over and it did not bother her and I knew it was fake because I vape the same juice (Sweet Tart) from the same vendor all the times she had been over previously.
There are people who do not like the appearance of smoking, and in a lot of these cases the hack, hack is a bunch of psychosomatic B.S. It is this type of foolishness that is the reason the so-called Nanny State has gotten so out of hand.
But I look at the Antis this way:
Today it is my habit - tomorrow it will be yours.
