Had a reply from Lew - he says they decided to drop the least popular from the site, but will be happy to make them for anyone on request, so you'll still be able to get it Bob.
That's good to know! I have around 200ml of Confusion, but wouldn't be happy if I had to go off to find another brand!

That's good to know, 200ml !! I thought I had a lot with my meagre 50ml

Hi all, hope everyone is well :)

I'm still waiting for my pipe

Wondered where you were Cody, you're going to have to post a piccy when it arrives :)

Yes i will give them a try next time i order trish :) Unfortunately the chips are the bad for you kind  Done in oil in the deep fat fryer. I love chips done in beef dripping, but she stopped me doing them like that, cos it stunk the house out. :(

I love my chips, but haven't done them in anything but my Halogen oven for ages now (rubbish done in a normal gas oven) because of the cholesterol problems

Those chips in a deep fryer done in beef dripping are exactly how my Mum & Dad cooked chips! Never had chips like them since some time in the 80's.
We had a deep fryer, but it was the most hated job in the house to clean it, so one day, into the bin it went! Even using an oil in it, and with a charcoal filter in the lid, it steamed the windows up and made the house smell!
Naturally, once there was high cholesterol to deal with, we didn't buy another one!
Think I may have to visit the fish & chip shop soon!

As we have chips with virtually everything I've still got one tucked away under the stairs, it only comes out if the thing I'm using breaks down (tried an Air-Fryer but the paddle broke, now using a Halogen Oven) - and they are all a nightmare to clean

Ours wasn't ...it was some sort of solid oil - bought it in large wrapped 'bricks' at the supermarket. Can't remember the brand but it was a popular one at the time. It never went totally solid, so slopped along the floor quite nicely! :(

LARD - I only stopped using it 10 years ago when I had the first stent put in - and when I tried doing the chips in the gas oven but found them to be too dry and horrible tasting, then moved to vegetable oil

That is not going to happen here....
Our Frier is on the counter and used all the time...
Peanut Oil, That's the best. IMHO

Don't think I've ever seen peanut oil over here in the supermarkets, normally only vegetable or sunflower over here

That's because I buy it in zero nicotine and also 3mg. I use the zero to add 15-20% of a few Nicoticket 12 or 18mg ones that have PG in them, I also use the zero to dilute some 6mg if using with another low nicotine one. The 6mg was sent in error on my last order for zero, so they sent the zero too. I ended up with two large bottles ! I'm still half way down a 30ml bottle too!
I get ABC in both zero and .6 too, and Posset in .3mg - always get 50 or 100ml in those and Mint Choc Vapetto.

We like chips too, but hate anything hard to clean - we do get some potato wedges from Tesco that aren't too bad, and their rosemary roast potatoes are quite low in fat too.

The very word 'lard' sounds odd now! can't say I ever saw peanut oil for sale either. We use the Berio mild/light olive oil for anything fried.

Hi Tom here again I have just received a phone call from the hospital Rons brain activity is going up on the monitor the Doctor has said it looks like he has started to wake up and they want me at the hospital straight away
They have told me when he wakes up he will only be awake for minutes as he will be very tired so I have to go straight away as they have a set of questions they want me to ask him like name, date of birth; what date it is now and I have to write the answers down for them
So here goes fingers crossed will report later when I get home if I have the chance I will tell him everyone on here is asking about him

Over there it is called Groundnut Oil
http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/sain...d_Vinegar/Sainsburys_Groundnut_Oil_500ml.html

We buy peanut oil in a 5 gallon jug. It does not spoil like vegetable oil does, so it lasts a long time on the shelf (or in the frier).

Ah! thanks Burnie :) - I see most large supermarkets have it! Not sure we'll go back to having a deep fryer though - not had one for years now.
I just saw this comparison chart for the various oils: Peanut oil - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Afternoon everyone :D

Still banging in the hours at work, so apologies for being AWOL again

I used to love chips fried in Lard. When I still lived at Mum & Dad's, Mum used to cut up some nice thick wedges and leave them on the side so I could fry them up after a good night out - never set the kitchen on fire once

Great news about Ron, hopefully he'll be awake very soon, bet he asks for a vape as soon as he comes round

--------------------------------------------

Having a relaxing day today. Watched the Japan GP earlier on and going out for a family meal later. The whole family haven't had a get together for about 2 months now, so I'm looking forward to it :)

-------------------------------------

Bob, I'll be posting the bits off for you next week, I've got a split shift on Tuesday, so I'll be able to pop to the PO then. I'll be careful about not over wrapping it, so you'll only need one hand to open it :laugh:

I'm looking forward to my new MBV juices arriving soon. I'm getting a bit bored with juices at the moment and need a change :)

Those new CV juices sound interesting Trisha, just the sort of thing I like to vape - I'll have to have a look at them.
Always nice to have something new to try! :)
I'm hoping those two new CV ones are good too!

I tried a rayon coil with a mix of 20% Got Cookie and ABC - tasted great, but only lasted two days! Not as long as a standard Kanger silica one. I've just washed it to see if it'll work again - came totally clean right away :)
So, I then tried one of your silica ones ...tasted really acrid and stayed that way - changed it for a Kanger one a few hours later. Should I wash it and see if it tastes better?
Both were used with an Evod tank on a Kanger 1000 or Spinner ll battery.

That's strange that the coils taste off Trisha, the rayon ones especially, should last longer than a couple of days. I cleaned all the parts out before rewicking them, so they should have been ready to vape out of the bag. It could be the juices that don't work well with the coils or the airflow might not meet the demands of the coils - I've noticed rayon wicks need really good airflow to work best. Have you tried the cotton yet ?? I've found that I can vape any juice on a cotton wick, the only exception being GVC.

Does the draw feel quite tight with the new coils, if so, it's probably due to lack of airflow ??

Something else to try. Cover the airholes on the outside of the Evod and give a quick pull on the Evod, you should see some small air bubbles rise up inside the tank. If you don't see the air bubbles, try trimming the ends of the wick tails where they stick out of the sides of the coil heads. I may have left the wick tails a little too long, so their not pulling the juice through quick enough.

Hope some of this helps :)

The rayon one tasted good - just clogged up in two days. I was using a chocolate and ABC custard mix though!
It was the silica one that tasted acrid.
I haven't tried the cotton ones yet - will do soon!

They seemed about right for a Kanger Evod.

OK, I'll give it a try ...do you mean on both types? They're all like new - totally clean, but shall I wash the Silica one first?
May not get it done today though ...got three days to finish framing & then pack them - and also still have one on the easel that is supposed to leave on Thursday with the others.

Yes on both Trisha. I always used to use Evods with an airflow controller, so I knew I was always getting maximum airflow to the bottom of the Evod. I like an airy draw myself :)

Maybe try another of the silica heads first, if it's the same acrid taste, it could be that your juice is a bit too thick for the silica I used (with it being high VG), so the silica isn't wicking quickly enough for the juice. Have a try with the cotton too and see what happens. As I said before, once you find the best wick for your personal vaping style and type of juice, I can always redo all the heads for you :)

Were you getting dry hits with the rayon head after a couple of days ??

-------------------------------------

I'll check back later. Better get organised for the family meal now.

If i am honest trish, i changed 2 of my kayfuns back to cotton today. 1. The SD&C and 2. The coffee and cream. I just got totally fed up having to clean them out and re-wick every other day. I know i never had to do that when using cotton, and i easily got a week before having to touch them.

Maybe it is like ian said a while ago, and it wicks too good therefore gunking up the coils a lot faster. Again, and i am being honest, The SD&C tastes a lot better on cotton, absolutely gorgeous, and i am not worried about chain vaping with it like i was with the rayon.

I just managed to put down the SD&C for a minute, and have a go with the coffee and cream, and i seem to be getting more flavour with that as well. I have nearly emptied another tank of blue moo, and tomorrow i will try that with cotton, if it is as good as these two i reckon i will just switch back to cotton. :)

Must admit I have never seen Groundnut oil either, and I do the major bit of my shopping in Sainsburys  but they obviously sell it, although looking at that Wiki page that Trisha posted it is not as healthy as the Vegetable oil they sell over here (Rapeseed/Canola)

Always a pleasure to hear from you Ian, just a shame that all that lard was so bad for us, blocking up our arteries :(
No rush on sending anything out and the arm/hand is back to normal now, just couldn't put any pressure on it for 48 hrs, took the see though covering off earlier this evening and gave it a wash and it looks okay.

OK - I'll do that. I may wait until I need to use a fresh coil to try the cotton one, same with a second silica one.

Were you getting dry hits with the rayon head after a couple of days ??
The rayon one was good but only lasted two days ..no dry hits, just the usual gunky coil lack of performance. That's the one I washed. I'll also try that one again. Haven't washed the Silica one you made yet though.

I'll wait until the current coil needs changing before trying the others again as suggested. I think if I try them all in the same type of tank with the same liquid, it'll give a more reliable result. I'll keep to the same Kanger batteries too - believe they operate at 3.7.

although looking at that Wiki page that Trisha posted it is not as healthy as the Vegetable oil they sell over here (Rapeseed/Canola)
We changed from both solid and bottles of vegetable oils quite some time ago because the light/mild olive oil was easier to clean off pans etc. That vegetable oil baked itself on and was a devil of a job to clean off. The olive oil still stuck on if the pan wasn't washed every time, but wasn't as hard to clean off.

Since we needed to keep my husbands cholesterol down without statins, we've used olive oil sparingly for all frying ...but it's not in a deep fryer anymore :)

Did you say you'd ordered an iStick Bob?
You may have seen that my blue one has gone walk about somewhere! We'll see what the AN Irish postal people say about that tomorrow hopefully - VapeRus are getting in touch with them tomorrow.

But, I got a silver one from a decent chap on Ebay! Came the next day too - what a really great little thing it is! I used it most of yesterday and all today too, and it's just under half way charged now. Apparently it takes 90mins to charge, so not bad. Obviously, I use more than one device each day ..usually a mix of four, some more than others, and this was one of the more used ones.
It came as a kit in a sealed shrink-wrap box and was set at 3.5V/7.6W and it shows the ohm rating of the coil once a tank is used on it, and also the charge left in the battery. It has a very neat 510 adapter and I'm currently using a white Mow tank on it. (kit just means it has a USB micro cable with it, and a 1A two round pin wall plug!) I'll need to find the right mains adapter - think we may have one.
The button is far easier to press than the MVP's, and the silver finish id brighter and cleaner looking than a silver MVP. It's nice and solid to set down and know it won't tip over, but not too heavy to hold, and certainly not clumsy! Great design, nice feature display with all the important information showing.
Very pleased with it! Hope my blue one turns up though!

I reckon it is the high VG also. I haven't been using silica wick much since I started making my juice at 50:50 PG/VG but the other day I put some in a mini protank 3 with a kanger head in and it would give dry hits after a few pulls.

But having said that, Trish don't you use 80+% VG juice with kanger heads (silica) all the time and it's ok?

Same here, I have a large & small teflon well primed frying pans and use the minimal amount of light/mild or virgin olive oil, or sometimes [fatty foods like bacon] none at all, and I never ever wash my frying pans, just a quick wipe round with kitchen roll and they are primed ready for use next time. Most things now get put in the gas oven and I use the Halogen oven for the chips, croquettes, roast potatoes etc.

Yes I mentioned about not doing anything yet, as it will probably turn up this week, hopefully today, RM tracking is KRAP, and yes I ordered a blue one from the UK site I posted who were taking Pre-orders, so don't expect mine to be shipped until later this week or next, even got £5 refunded through Paypal so now only £34.99 inc postage.

Trying my kayfun at work with the nano kit it came with. Flavour is better I think as the vapour has a shorter distance to travel. Draw also seems smoother although that might be how I rewicked it. Also seems to go through juice quicker so maybe I did just wick it better.

I have - I had to change over to VG sometime in early March, and began with the very thin batteries and small disposable clearomisers. Only typical coil gunkers troubled them really.
I even use some 100% VG ones such as VV and Velvet Cloud.

I went on to Evod then mPT's, mini Unitank, Nautilus mini, etc. The only problems I've had have been with leaking, gurgling and siphoning with particularly the mini Unitank. That was when Ian suggested trying some of the wicks he makes as they'd be a bit thicker and may prevent the leaking.
Once I've tried them all in the Evod I'm using, I'll go on to try them in a mini Unitank that leaked with the standard Kanger coils.

My Mum & Dad had a frying pan that Dad bought in Baker Street when he was in accommodation there during the war. It lasted for decades and rarely got a proper wash ..just a wipe round. It was a great pan!

It was the fact that the tracking is AN Post in S Ireland, not our own RM, and it showed the package to have been actually delivered at 10.22am on Oct 2nd. That of course would be some sort of link up with our own postal service, so it remains to be seen what happens.
Not too annoyed by getting another - I'd have got more than one anyway, but may have waited until I had more spare cash

the doctor said he should now wake up 5-10 times today each time only for minutes getting longer as the day goes on
