Hi,
There are ALOT of flavor juices out there and I really like some of them, but I am worried about with actually those flavorings are and if there are any side effects of sucking those chemicals into your lungs.
I know that vaping is generally safer than smoking but could vaping unknown chemical flavorings persent a higher risk than vaping unflavored juices?
Also do you think that USA made juices are safer than say EU/ Asia made juices. I know there is no regulation for juices and that is quite scary if you really think about it.
thanks
All reputable US flavorists use only the highest quality USP grade, and/or FDA approved ingredients. A couple of my personal favorites are the Perfumer's Apprentice (The Flavor Apprentice) (
Perfumer's Apprentice) and Wizard Labs (
Wizard Labs). For the most part, I know what is going in my juices (flavors), and it's exactly the same thing that goes into our food. I know, that's the scary part, as even organic foods allow over 500 different additives, and not all of them are totally safe. That being said, these approved chemicals are already in our food, our water, our air, etc. and I can't avoid them even if I try.
Compared to the more than 500 chemicals in cigarettes, which combust into more than 4,000 different chemicals, of which more than 100 of them are known carcinogens, and since vaping does not use hydrocarbon combustion, I feel and know that I'm about 1 million percent better off now, than I was a few months ago when I quit. I am a cancer researcher for a major institution here in the U.S., and work with many medical professionals, particularly in the holistic and naturopathic world, and vaping is far less harmful than the Standard American Diet (SAD), by a long shot. Compared to smoking, it's a no brainer. The latest reports indicate that the vapor from e-cigarettes has no measureable affect through either second or third hand exposure. Nicotine is a toxic substance at high concentrations, but is already in our food chain. We find nicotine in broccoli, spinach, etc. Nicotine at lower levels is found in all human beings, and in moderate levels has been shown to be no more harmful than a cup of coffee, and may even be beneficial. Vaping is probably less dangerous than breathing the air we are all exposed to. There have been very few studies on vaping, but the few that have been done have shown no negative affects. Surely if they had, believe me, we would have all heard about it. Vape on!
