Distilled water is what is recommended. Look for some without any minerals added in it. You don't have to make sure there are no minerals but some people will say that they can cause an off taste and/or gunk up your coils easier, but at a 10% H20/90%VG I am not so sure that it would make a huge difference/effect on your resultant.

distilled water is just fine. don't has to be Evian :)
de percentage I think depends on what is your final PG/VG ratio goal to achieve...
It depends on how much final aroma concentration you'll have together with the additives (12-18%), depends on the PG/VG concentration of the base where you mix it in...

The pure VG that you keep at home I thinks don't have to contain any water (0%).
So it keeps the viscosity, remains dense, and you can add up the percenteage to equilibrate the final outcome of every batch you DIY.

I've heard that exceeding 10% is not a good thing. It'll be thin and washy...

But I'm a VG fan, so don't listen to me :)
(The PG in the aromas and the water in the additives does humify my liquid at a sufficient degree!)

I just ordered a Mt Baker mix; 70% VG and 30% distilled water. Will be interesting to see how it vapes.

I like giant clouds of vape :) but am still trying to figure out how to get there. Some YT videos show people making their own wicks with ekowool and kanthal wire and a drip tube that allows you to connect it all. I ordered some supplies to try it but haven't received it yet.
