I'll admit I am- I have tons of friends that live 2 hours+ away so it's great to keep in touch. I usually just get goofy on there for laughs though- unless it's real big news or something I won't post boring personal crap unless it's something cute or funny my daughter did or something. I enjoy it- I won't lie. :)

Not on Facebook.

Do not own a cell phone.

Do not use Twitter, so I have never ....ted.

A few people have actually come right out and said I am a sociopath
because they perceive all that as being EXTREMELY antisocial.
I'm with you on all three counts.

As for being a sociopath, tell them the correct term is refusenik. I take pride in being one, particularly when it comes to cell phones. I've never owned one, which comes as a big surprise to people who have known me a long time, and recognize me as a gadget freak (which I am). :) I relish times when I am incommunicado.

I have wifi in my car, multiple computers (desktop and portable), MagicJack, have been into shortwave, worked in radio and am in print media, strong supporter of Free Speech. Communication is great! On my terms. I feel no great need to tell someone I'm in the checkout line and will be home in five minutes. And, I've been dayum near run off the road more than once by an airhead who should've been driving, but wasn't. Facebook? Pfffittt.

If i lived close to my friends and family i probably wouldnt have one. But facebook is great at keeping me and my family connected esp when my hubby is deployed it really comes in handy.

Tara

I agree. I'm a transplant from MA living in AZ and this is the BEST way to keep in touch with all those that I love and miss.

Nope, no facebook for me either, I was conned (by relatives) to set up a myspace account but haven't looked at or been near it in, gwell over a year. I have a My Yearbook account I kept up with, until my daughter (in, OH) deleted her account... no reason to have a bunch of people I don't know spamming me all the time. Like someone else said, I have enough of that on my email. And snail mail

No. Ive got my own web space I dont know what to do with at the moment.
Funny. I've got a web server account. I use maybe 10% of what I'm paying for. FWIW, I've never had an ISP which doesn't INCLUDE web space, and it seems hardly anyone uses what they're paying for. OH, while on the topic of paying for what you're not using, NNTP. Forget PTP, NNTP is much better, and maybe it's for the best that we're a small user group.

I, like MAC, had a myspace to promote my old karaoke company.
Perfect for finding strangers to add who live in your area for free advertising and zeroing in on zipcodes. Also great for spamming the nation for mass marketing. I use it now to promote my e-cig business. Totally wicked has one too for the same reason.
I heard facebook was going to charge $3 a month..

hows that kiosk coming along?

I relish times when I am incommunicado.

Yup. As it stands now I have several friends who will:

Call me and when I don't answer they call my home phone and when I don't answer that they e-mail me and when I don't respond to the e-mail right away they then text me.

WTF?

So since I obviously attract very NEEDY people I NEED to stay away from FB but totally understand why some people do use it. Especially for business - it's just a shame they limit business accounts in away they do not limit personal accounts :(

i dont use or need any social networking sites. i dont want to anyone from my past to find me...because well...i dont care enough to find anyone or anyone to find me.

i have my family, coworkers and close friends who i keep in touch with via phone, text, email and in person. i dont need to complicate my life with that crap.

there maybe a time when i may need it and when that time comes ill use it...till then no way

Besides, what happened to good old fashioned radio communications? With Facebork you get...a website. Whoo hoo. With ham radio you get to set up your very own antenna and radio, do experiments, talk to people in far away places (depending on propogation, antenna, band etc) send them pictures using just the airwaves, experiment with satellites and even talk to the space station!! You can even play with and send digital data or talk to others using digital to get further on fewer watts and you did it all with your radio equipment!!!
