We went from 901s to eGos to mods within 6 weeks of the start of our vaping experience. We were lucky enough to get in on the first release of the REO Grand mods and now my husband wants one of Fono's mods so bad he can taste it. When we first started my husband showed me a picture of a GLV2 and I was like, well that's just goofy looking. Now that I understand it I get what all the fuss is about and my eGos are gathering dust and the 901s have been passed on to my MIL.

I would like to third the kudos to all the modders out there that are breaking new ground on a regular basis with different models and designs. These guys burn a lot of midnight oil and I applaud their efforts.

Now back to stalking the mail lady for my Grand!

The main reason for them being sold out is the MFG process , it just takes to damn long to hand make a unit ( or they have supply / cash problems and or scheduling issues )

Many of the MODS out there are hand built ( that I know of ) so they are not easy or fast to build hence the delay , so I am sure there is a limit to the qty they can produce per day.

Also many mod MFG's are not experienced MFG's I.E. they have not done this type of thing before , we have 17 yrs experience in Mfg and production of products .

I think there was some risk over the last few years because know one knew where the market would go since there were so many options, but now there seems to be some standardization taking place. Basically when it comes to mods you have the 3.7v LR crowd and the HV crowd. Some want elegant designs like the precise, some want functionality like the juice boxs and variable voltages, and some want flexibility like the GG's. I think the 18650's will win the battery battle for the majority of the 3.7's and the LifePO4 3v's will win for the 6v. I think if a manufacturer came up with 3 or 4 models along these lines they could go "all in" and make a bundle. I wish I was a machinist so I could be the one.
