Anyone plan on quitting?

I, personally, don't plan on quitting. I enjoyed smoking way too much and didn't want to quit that either. However, once I found vaping and then really got interested in it, I decided to quit smoking and start vaping. Right now, I vape 18mg. That's what I like, and that's where I intend to stay for the foreseeable future.

Will I ever quit nicotine altogether? Perhaps one day. We'll see. I'm still young.

Sorry for the lack of response everyone, I didn't know that these were here and I haven't been on my computer for a couple of days. There are a few reason's for the push. #1 my hubs uses an ego-C and Kanger T3 and does well on it. I use a Zmax, carto tanks with dark 50/50 juices so I go through a carto in a day or 2 and he's griping about the cost. #2 my friend asked me the other day... you're still planning on completely quitting in 3 months right? Total pressure there. and #3 because of the possible ban or sky rocketing prices for my juices and carto's. I keep thinking that hey if I am down to zero nic then it won't be a matter of totally freaking out at the ban but being like ok, it doesn't affect me all that much instead of the panic I felt at not being able to smoke. Those are the top reasons in a nutshell.

Have you weaned your nic levels down?

It's taken me exactly 6 months to wean myself down to just now 0 nic. I will stay with 0 nic for awhile and then see if I can give up vaping. I've already reduced how much I vape when I am away from home. I take far fewer vape breaks at work and often run an errand without any ecig along. It's rather liberating. At home, I still need by binky ecig.

I think you've both done well Sennie. Some people plan their nic decreases, some don't. I just naturally know when I'm ready to try lower nic. I'm on 6mg now, and my last juice order was all 6mg nic. I have some 12mg because I clicked the wrong button on a particular juice. I've been vaping that on my short breaks at work - so I get the nic I need quicker. I have some zero mg as well. I know what is right for me, and have never pressured myself.
Having some lower strength juice as well as your usual strengths can be a good way of seeing where you're at. It's funny you should post this because lately I've been vaping a little less and thinking I don't need to vape so often.

I'm thinking if I VERY gradually lower the nic level so I don't crave because I REALLY suck at telling myself no!! lol

I think that's the best way really. You know the saying, back ups for your back ups. When I first bought 6mg I still had some 12mg just in case. I have never just switched to a lower concentration without having some of my usual one as a back up. Yet gradually I have gone from 24mg when I first started to 6mg and the occasional 0mg.

I was thinking if I put a few drops of zero with the regular, then maybe when I am used to that add a little more zero and a little less of the 12mg's and in a few weeks I will be down to 6. I am a chain vaper so so I am afraid that it is going to be REALLY tough for me to give that up completely. lol

I've been a chain vaper too - and just in this last week have found myself putting the pv down more. Sounds like a plan. Instead of putting some drops in maybe you could fill a small bottle with half and half - to make 6 mg, or 2/3 12mg with 1/3 0mg - to get 9mg (if my maths are right on that one). I've cut juice 50/50 that way myself.

New to vaping, but quit cigarettes and cigars.

I came to this as a replacement of the previous 2. Having said that, since I'm so new to vaping I seem to do it pretty often. I'll probably end up going to the lowest nicotine level, but have no plans to quit.

I don't inhale it into my lungs either, just a short throat hit. That's good enough for me.

I gave up drinking, cigars, and cigarettes...this is a keeper!

It was all just psychological for me. I had a little panic when I went to 12 from 18, because I Thought I could really notice the difference, but after only an hour I went about my day and didn't notice it anymore.

With that experience, it was a breeze to go to 6mg. Going to 0 was just as easy, but I found that 0 Really changed the taste and experience, so I moved it up to 3mg- Which is pretty much nothing anyway.

Best Wishes on your recovery from Nicotine addiction.
