Anyone run out and grab a Vamo V3 yet?

Just wondering. I have a black chrome V2 and love it. Not really feeling the look of the V3. The swirls are awful IMO. I think they tried to make the Vamo "non-slip". But I think it could have been done a little more stylish.

What do you guys think?

I agree the V3 looks horrible, at least not my cup of tea. I'd be interested if they upgraded or changed anything mechanically but doesn't seem so.

I agree as well... its not very appealing to the eye.....also probably a little more challenging to add a protective skin to it too. Was going to get the hubby a v3, but when he saw it online, he said "I just want one like yours" (meaning the v2)......

Yeah..I really think its ugly too. I know the screen display is updated and I guess you can unscrew the top to clean around the connection. But other than that I think its about the same as the V2.

I got one, mine runs in 18350 mode. I like the "grip" the grooves provide. They are on fastech already

I was just going to edit my post. I have seen conflicting info on single 18350 mode, but here it is folks; direct from a V3 owner it does do single 18350 mode...Thanks rockb4!

Ordered the Chrome version from fasttech yesterday. I'm not concerned with looks in particular so that wasn't an issue for me. The differences from v2 as I understand are:

OLED screen

Removed NO1 setting so NO2 - RMS is used

Battery tube extension(s) can be removed at the head 1 long tube & 1 short tube included to configure as you like (1- 18350, 2- 18350's or 1 18650)

Removable top skirt

No SS model, Black Chrome & Chrome only

I hate the design on those but i think the funtionality is great.. I would most likely stick with the v2 if i get a vamo..

The easy removal of top skirting seems like such a great idea.
The updated OLED screen doesn't hurt as well!
But damn,the slash marks are horrible!!!
If the plain stainless/chrome versions are produced like the V2,i'll bet they'll fly off the shelves.

I saw your thread before ordering but it didn't stop me from getting one from FT. Hoping the issue is isolated but if not I'll just return it. Shipped today so I should know in a couple weeks.

I didn't have this problem with mine. Everyone is so harsh on the dumb swirly pattern look at this vid, you can hardly see it. I will say I have mixed feelings about the tactile sensation, tho.

another coworker of mine ordered one from ivape and it came with a 2 piece battery tube that can accommodate an 18650 or 18350 (much like the v2) vs. the 2 separate battery tubes on the version i received. this one didnt have the rainbowheaven branding nor did it exhibit the self firing when powering off... it did however have the bedazzled cone. hope you get this version from whatever manufacturer that one came from

I have a Vamo v2 in stainless steel. So far, there's nothing in the Vamo v3 to make me want to get it over the v2. If I needed another Vamo, I'd seek out another stainless steel v2.

Bedazzled lmao... Can't a guy just feel pretty every once in a while I tend to overlook aesthetics pretty easily. I'm 'over the hump' and things like that happily escape my attention in lieu of function.

It was a nice thing for you to go to the trouble of posting the videos though.

I'm sure sooner or later they will make J-Wraps for the V3. I may consider a V3 then if my V2 dies.
