My bad. I was referring to the v2 as it had the pressed on extension tube that seems to like to separate from the head unit.
Anyone run out and grab a Vamo V3 yet?

Yap, i understand now what you mean. But i prefer the long tube of the v3 and no 2 short tube that the v3 SS have for long configuration

Same here. I think they're starting to ship out the two short tubes with more recent orders.

Been using a ss v2 for 3-4 months now, my first apv. Decided to order a ss v3 as a backup from My Vapor Store (yes, I know Fasttech is cheaper). Just got it yesterday. (No rhinestones or rainbow start up logo, two short tubes.) I must say I'm pleasantly surprised. The grooves aren't nearly as ugly in person as they are in photos. In addition to the grooves for grip, the ss is more of a brushed finish, than the mirror polish of the v2. So, no slipping. I love the removable drip well ring and the OLED display. The v3 has a different menu system than the v2, with a few more options. Mostly, these concern what, if anything, is displayed when the fire button is pressed. Getting used to not seeing my watt/volt setting displayed when I hold down a small button to check battery life/resistance.
Biggest surprise: It just seems better made. Mind you, I was pretty impressed with the v2's construction quality. But the v3 beats it. The 510 connector is straighter, and the big "fire" button doesn't rattle at all. The smaller buttons also seem sturdier.
And, of course, I don't miss "mode no. 1" at all.
So, the v2 has become my backup, and the v3 is now my primary. Good job, whoever made it!

My v2 is also SS from myvaporstore and polished finished. My friend after i recomended buying the ss from myvaporstore he recived a defective ss shiny one and mvs with their exellent CS the send him another wich he recived an brushed finish ss with a tinted screen windows, the nwewst v2 are brushed and not our polished or plated ss as mine.. Nevermind since i have the svd and zmax in brushed ss im glad mine is polished or plated cuz my chrome topper looks better

That's a bit odd. I am not sure, but maybe the circuit firing the coil is more efficient... otherwise, watts is watts.

Nope... I like them.
. It really didn't matter to me either way -i want looking to win any mod beauty pageants-, but when I opened the box I thought they looked pretty good. Different look than other PVs, and they serve their function well.not at all, i didnt mind them or i wouldnt have bought the damn thing in the first place, lol. They also give it a nice grippy feel.
Add me to the list..I don't have anything to compare it too but it looks fine and it grips real well. If someone wants to send me their old V2 Stainless Steel I'll be more than happy to do a comparison though..

As far as box mods the groove is awesome.
Wish I could get a mech box but they seem to be harder to find or just simply out of stock

I recently got into mods and I wanted the VAMO V3 because it looks soooo nice. Then I found these forums and saw all the hate the grooves were getting. I dont understand why people dont like them. This device looks so nice and feels like a very quality device. I'm glad I bought it.
