Anyone saving any money?

I just switched from the mvp v1 to the mvp v2 and love it. I started out in 2009 in Korea with a company called dekang, decent batts and liquids but really bad tanks. Been vaping since. Smoked cigs like a pack a day for 16 years... what a waste. I buy new tanks every other month and have tried many diff batts and still managed to save almost $1000 last year. I spend $45 on liquid every 90 days since I switched to the kanger II protank. Just spent$60 on the mvp 2 so won't be trying a new tank until next month but I'm getting the new Pyrex dual coil drip tank and can't wait. My protank 2 works awesome with the mvp 2. Love it. Favorite juices are vaporzone black cherry and raspberry and uniquecigs sweet watermelon, blueberry pomegranate, or raspberry. I live in new York , up state and love pissing off the .......s by vaping in stores and in movie theaters. Won't stop me!!! Muah hahaha!

Not saving any money at the moment. I started of course thinking I would save a ton, but that turned out to not be entirely true; at least for the moment. I had to try quite a few juices before I knew what I wanted. Sure I got to try things I thought I liked, but after taking some home I discovered that many things I just lost interest in or started to hate. Luckily I have found 5 pawns, Alice in Vapeland and a few others that have a good array of juices I enjoy vaping. Next we have my need to upgrade from the Vision Spinner I've been using. Still deciding if I want a mech, but probably not ready for all that just yet. I think once I get enough tanks and the right device I'll be on the right track to saving money. If all I'm buying is juice and the occasional replacement head, I should be well under the $200/mo. I was spending on analogs, even with my expensive taste in juice.

Here is the way I look at it:

I'm not 'saving' money, as in putting it away into savings. I'm saving money, by not buying stinkies, that I can use for my new hobby. My main goal was to get healither, and to stop smelling like an ashtray. I have achieved that. My money now goes towards my new hobby, which I really do not mind!

yup, health was my first concern as well.... and as for savings......... it's all going into hardware........ but I don't count that.......

I look at what I used to spend on analogs vs what I spend on juice now.........

hardware is purely discretionary..... don't you guys think so?

my opinion anyways

I agree, kachuge. Not buying a pack of smokes was never an option. :(

Saving money so far. Instead of ~$45/carton for analogs I'm paying ~$8/30ml of juice and I think thats about comparable amounts of nicotine based on what I've read and my own experience so far as I'm only about 3 weeks into this new lifestyle. But I've already saved enough to pay for my initial outlay for an inexpensive kit.

Granted, I can appreciate the hobbyist appeal but so far I'm happy with my setup. In fact, one of the reasons I'm so late to the art is that I'd always just assumed e-cigs were way more expensive but I've learned that they aren't or at least they don't need to be.

I've been vaping regularly the past 2.5 months, and exclusively the past month. The chart is showing that I am saving over the cost of buying cigarettes. Itaste VV / Protank 2 Mini, wraping / wicking my own coils, and being frugal with my liquid purchaces help to keep the price down. Maybe down the line I may upgrade my system. Maybe not.

I just figure i'm saving on doctor bills in the long run.
The stuff i buy for my vaping i figure would have went to Cigarettes anyways..So i'm investing into as much good stuff as i can this first year, until i can come up with a better excuse to buy more awesome vape stuff next year..

I'm investing.
Yaa,That's what i'm doin,Investing!;)

I quit July 1 2013 and havent looked back. I quit with help from Blu. But still wasnt getting the same satisfaction so I came here and started doing research. I found that I could buy two 1000 ego batteries at Zee cigs for like 15 bucks. So I got six of them. Then I went thru 15 or 20 different tanks and cartos before I settled on the mini protank. I dont like the mini 2 so I found where I can get the originals for 10 bucks apiece and got six of those. I only vape one flavor and its the "Favorite Tobacco" from Zee cigs. I now spend about 20 bucks a month on juice and another 10 or so on replacement coils. So I'm saving a lot of money compared to the cigs that I used to buy.

I almost, almost saved $220 today, but I found The Rose V2 rba available before it was sold out. If I had waited just one more hour or two, would of saved $220. But when one finds something available that won't be around for long, one must have the courage to act or face remorse and say Next time I will have YOU!! HA!

Didn't need it, do not consider this as part of my Cost of Vaping. It's just when I find a piece of vape gear that has all the features I desire, and have been keeping an eye out for, well it just destiny that we found each other.

I think that may be my next endeavor. Rebuilding coils seems to be a good route for cost and performance.

Rebuilding coils can save a lot of money, but expect to have a few failures along the way. Though once you get the hang of doing it, you can build coils that are better than what you get from the factory.

Another way you can save money is by making your own juice. DIY is yet another learning curve where you should expect to have some failures as well. The difference in the cost of premade juice and what you make yourself is worth the investment in time.
