I have read, a few times that thos little money saved tickers are bull-shi* and thats just money you spend on vaping, Is this because people keep buying more and more stuff?

my GF researched e-cigs for a while (on this forums) before we decided to try it out, and she landed on the Reo/Monkeyboxx. we have 2 reos (one for each) but we are just waiting on the batteris for the 2nd one before we quit smoking.

So my question is, If we stick to our reos, find the attys we like and dont change mods, Will it actually save money? or will juice/replacement/ parts/etc/etc for the reos end up costing the same as smoking?

oh btw i love my reo =)

I can't see myself wanting anything else. Congrats on a smart choice!

Besides batteries and cartomizers for my REOs, I haven't bought any other hardware, but I did upgrade to a Pila charger.

My latest spending spree has been on flavors for DIY, so I think the money saving secret after you have a REO is to find a few juices that you love and then you're set and can budget accordingly. Oh, and don't read what people buy on this forum, because you might want to order it.

Good choice on the Reos, I love my grand!

I think you saved a bunch by skipping all the starter kits and going with one of the best mods around from the get go. Ya, I once I found the few juices I love and the cartos / attys I prefer is when I actually started saving money on vaping. Now I spend about 1/3rd of what I did on analogs.

If your open to a couple suggestions I really love cisco lr 1.5 ohm 510 attys from avidvapor and avejuice bobas bounty and gorilla juice. Along with Reomods these are all stellar products imo.

Hope you enjoy your Reos as much as I have!

Happy vaping

Hardware should not be counted in the savings vs analogs IMO. It is the device that allows you to use E liquid. The Reo does what it does well, which is to provide simplicity, quality and reliability. That part of vaping E cigs is complete. The consumables on the other hand being the liquid, cartos.attys and batteries is your expense to compare to analogs. If you only vape the finest juices then it may or may not save you money it depends on what analogs cost where you live. If cost is your primary concern vs analogs you can make your own juices and save a fair amount vs analogs. It is really all up to you. Having a top notch mod saves you from having to spend more on the hardware.

What those counters don't take into consideration are the doctor bills you will encounter down the road if you keep smoking.

Good Luck :)

In the long run you'll save money if you don't become a mod collector. Your first year you'll probably spend just as much on vaping as you did on cigs, but once you find what juice, and attys/cartos you like you'll start noticing the savings. My advice find 4 juices you really like and stick with them, you'll spend way too much money experimenting with all the juices. Boba's Bounty, Hype, Gorilla Juice, and Bounty Hunter keep me plenty happy.

I think it depends on how much you normally spend in a month of smoking.
Most of the juice I buy is about 10 bucks for 30 ml plus shipping. Or I can buy larger quantities to save a bit. I normally go through a bout 6 ml of juice a day.

So I go through about 6 30 ml bottles of juice a month. Where I buy from is 7 bucks flat rate shipping so I spend 67 a month on juice (Getting ready to get into DIY to save a bunch)

I use Cartos and go through about 15 a month which is 20 bucks shipped

Batterys should easily last you months manufacturer says 200-300 charge cycles usually but just to stay safe lets say you have to buy a new battery every month. Batterys range in price but Madvapes have 18650 batterys starting at 6.79 I believe with 3 bucks shipping so lets say 1o bucks a month for batterys

So consumables I spend about 97 a month. My smoking habit was 1.5-2 packs a day. Cartons here are 50 bucks so I was spending about 260 a month on smokes. In theory I should be saving about 163 a month. However I have a bad mod addiction and have actually spent about 1000 bucks on mods in the past 3 months.

Wow thanks for the replies guys, amazing community, any other place if i asked a newb question I would be called a dumb ... by at least 30 people by now and told to hang my self or something lol.

So far my favorite juice is tobacco flavor (only tried like 5) but I really like the tobacco that I have tried.

So far I have tried using 306 low resistance atty, a 501 (i think) and I just ordered some 801s.

I like the 306 1.5 lr most from what I tried, What do you guys prefer for reo grands?

Also what is the difference in all the attys? or where can I find the information? I try to use search but I get a google error page every time I use the search function lol.

Thanks again guys, Im shocked at the amount of replies and how friendly you all are! =)

We're a happy bunch and REO owners are over the top happy. This might be the nicest forum online, with a Disney one running a close second.

Randy at RTDVapor.com has been keeping the attys and other accessories in stock that many REO people love. His battery shipment is due to arrive this week too. He started his site based on his love for REOs, so just about anything he has is something to try.

If i account all my hardware expense before i got my Reo, i must have spent 200$ then 300$ more to get me a Reo Grand and a Reo Mini, so all in all around 500$ in hardware, and my monthly upkeep in carto's and juice is around 50-60$, so no mather what my banner says in my signature, i still avoided a bunch of analogs and i think i can safely say i did break even and now gaining money by having switched, and the Reo's did have a part to play in it since i never burnt or synged a carto since i got my reo, and i also stopped wasting juice by dripping in the car and so on. :D my Reo's have made me a happy vaper all the way

I don't use a reo, I decided to get a red sky vv mod, which I love. It is a bottom feeder as well. If I new in the beginning what I know now from researching on this site I would have got one right from the start. You've already saved a lot of money by getting the reo to start with instead of taking the long way around like i did ( blu-cig, go-go,ego-t). Now Like you all I have to do is find a group of juices I really like. I'm finding that a 6ML bottle of juice lasts me at least a couple of days.

made a great choice on your mod.

unfortunately with every PV out there...atomizers and cartomizers dont last forever..so thatll cost some money. once you get that down your cost reductions will reduce.

the money hole is the juice though. it might take a while before finding juices for the both of you that you actually like...not to mention different strengths of juice too. (i have lower nic for home, and higher when im out, when my cravings are more intense).

find popular vendors that offer small bottle samples or just small 3ml or 6ml bottles. theres alot of em out there. gl
