those tests are required for everyone now. I wouldn't put a ton of stock in that personally. Most vape shops have their own line of juice because its so easy to make. You may have just found an internet portal to one of a myriad of brick and mortar vape stores. Doesnt mean their juice is bad though. many juices are the same recipe under a different name anyway.
More accurately the fda has made it illegal to sell juice whose mixes have not been so tested. The test is quite expensive hence mass complaints some months ago by various juice makersI wish it were required! It's incredibly difficult finding eliquid that's been tested for all 3, let alone just diacetyl. It is a brick and mortar store in TX I believe. Maybe I'll look at yelp reviews.
When did this happen ? Any links ? The vast majority of vendors don't test, and they have no problems selling their juice.More accurately the fda has made it illegal to sell juice whose mixes have not been so tested. Resellers don’t test but producers have to. I watched the whole thing unfold at my local vape shop. They had to find something like a million dollars to be able to keep selling house juices. When did this happen ? Any links ? As for Vapor Bar, they have a few B&M stores in Texas and the owner is very active in advocacy, and her line was one of the first tested for diketones, and they reformulated quite a few of their juices. Haven't tried any though.
I think you're mistaken. This was a big issue in the community a few years ago, but the FDA never addressed this issue.Resellers don’t test but producers have to. I suppose it’s possible they were lying to me and everyone else. I don’t find it likely though. It wasn’t a few years ago either but months.I think you're mistaken. This was a big issue in the community a few years ago, but the FDA never addressed this issue.
My guess is you are mistaken, or he was lying. I followed this issue very closely. Just check the Vaporshark site and click on Eliquid Analysis Report on the juice they sell, and see just how many of those liquids from major brands have diketones in them.I suppose it’s possible they were lying to me and everyone else. This much is certain. One of the two of us has bad info.
I looked at the fda stuff. What I think I’m talking about is the deadline 8/8/16. It’s kinda thick reading thoughMy guess is you are mistaken, or he was lying. I followed this issue very closely. What the vendor might have been referring to was the other regulations the FDA put into effect ( registration, ingredient listing etc ... ), that have now been delayed after the new FDA head came into office.
Yeah, that was not related to the diketone stuff.I looked at the fda stuff. What I think I’m talking about is the deadline 8/8/16. It’s kinda thick reading though
Manufacturing
Diketone?Yeah, that was not related to the diketone stuff.
Diacetyl, Acetyl Propyniol and other related molecules that the op was referring to. Some vendors ( including the Vapor Bar ) test for them ( and reformulate if positive ), but the vast majority don't. Vaporshark tests for all their own and third party liquids they sell.Diketone?
I was under the impression that was covered under “submit list of ingredients”Diacetyl, Acetyl Propyniol and other related molecules that the op was referring to.
