Anyone try the new Kanger T3 yet?

The wife has not modified hers, so it's still in 'out of box' running mode and no leaks in 2 days.

Not even a hint of any leaking so far.

I have been playing with mine and when I removed the 2 flavor wicks I had a lot of gurgling so I figured it would leak like that.
I reinstalled 1 of the wicks, this is where I like mine and no leaks.

I dry burn these just like my CE3's.
The center post is a lot tighter, but I rock it to remove. Remove the 2 loose flavor strands; clean & dry burn as the coil is exposed for easy viewing; Reinstall the loose strands and the center post. Fluff the wicks and push the silicone seal down just shy of touching the wicks as I let the center tube in the shell seat the seal into position.
I don't over tighten, but just 'snug' and test vape. If it gurgles and doesn't go away after 2-3 hits, I snug a little more.
Explaining in text form makes it sound more complicated than it really is.

I also like that you can invert it and unscrew the coil to make adjustments if you want. You don't have to drain the juice.
I really like this design as I'm a tweaking type of guy and the wife wants it to work out of the box.
We are both happy using these.

The Vision mini nova is good but in my opinion the T3's are better. They hold more juice, produce better flavor, have an ego connection and they are less expensive. They are brand new and we don't know how they will hold up but they seem to be constructed better than the T2 so they should last as well as other clearos. They might not be as easy to clean and dryburn as the Vivi nova being as only the bottom comes off and not the top but very easy to just rinse out with warm water to change flavors.

Yes the T2 has a replaceable tip and has metal ones but on the T3 the tip is permanently attached to the tank and does not come off.

Let them dry naturally for a while, connector side down. That way they won't leak

I loaded one up with Cheesecake Torte from Highbrow and the flavor is every bit as good as a CE3 bottom coil, if not better. I waited maybe two minutes to start vaping after filling it. By the third draw I was getting great flavor. Vapor production is great as well. The draw is tremendously better compared to the T2s, only very slightly tighter than a CE3. My only problem, and this may be a personal problem not a common problem, is that the vapor seems a little more harsh than the CE3. I use the 2.4~2.6Ohm CE3s at 3.8V on my twist. These T3s are 2.4 +/- 0.2Ohms, so I left my voltage at 3.8V. I'm going to drop down to 3.6V to see how it performs and how my throat lungs deal with it. Overall, for a large capacity bottom coil device this is definitely a winner.

I also want to add, from personal experience, if I had vaped on a top coil as long as I have tonight I would have been constantly clearing my throat and coughing up phlegm, and feeling like my throat and lungs are constricting because my asthma is acting up. I don't have that with the T3, just that little bit of harshness. Maybe it'll go away, as I did not clean it before filling. So for me there is improvement with the T3 over all other top coil devices. But comparing a CE3 and a T3, there is definitely a tad bit more harshness to the T3. I'm definitely going to stick with it and see how it plays out.

That's good to know Skelley. I don't own a ultrasonic cleaner, but I do have PGA. Can you recommend a cleaning method? Will the harshness go away over time without cleaning?


You may not know this, but I do consider you the master of bottom coil devices, and I value your advice and opinions greatly.

I would try cleaning one with out taking it apart first. A good hot tap water rinse and dry should help a lot.
This seems to help get anything in and/or on the wicks off and they seem to start wicking and producing better in my opinion.

I probably wouldn't dry burn these unless I removed the loose flavor strands. They will burn before the main coil gets dry and then produce a bunt taste.

Edit: Another cleaning method I use sometimes is to microwave a cup of water and let them soak.
I don't have it extremely hot as it may distort any rubber seals unless they can be removed.
If you remove the rubber seal, be careful that you don't loose the 2 flavor strands.

I killed my tester! This morning when I switched batteries it seemed like the draw was tighter than last night. I thought maybe I tightened it on the battery too tight and pushed the battery post/airhole thing too far up inside. When I got to work I used a pair of needlenose pliers to pull it out a little bit and the whole little nub came out. Kinda freaked me out. I put it back in, reseated the base, and started vaping. For some reason the flavor seemed off, it had an motor oil/plastic taste to it. So I then took it completely apart let it soak in some hot water for a few minutes, put it all back together. The draw was back to normal but the oil/plastic taste was still there. Took it apart again checked all the rubber seals, none of them seemed burnt or melting. I took the battery post out again with the plastic seal, reseated that, and blammo - dead.

Also when I took the center post off of the coil assembly I noticed that one of the two flavor wicks had come apart. I was unable to put back one of the strands of one of the wicks. It would seem that those flavor wicks are fragile. I probably should not be messing with these things this much. I hope the coils last a while without cleaning because I don't know if I trust myself to take the flavor wicks out to dry burn/clean the coil and put it back together again.

Since I only use Menthol juice with no tobacco additives I don't think I'll need to dry burn it.

Did you happen to order a spare head with your initial order?
I ordered one T3 and one spare head.

I ordered 7 whole units, so I still have 6 left. This one I dubbed as my tester just to see how it performed.

My first four refills worked great without any dry hits but now I'm getting occasional dry hits. If I puff on it without hitting the power button it starts to wick again. I had the same issues with ce3's. I think it probably needs cleaning but I'm waiting until I get my other order delivered before I mess with it. I still like these a lot and hope they hold up over the long haul. I haven't had any leaking at all.
